I use supreme harmonic stabilizer (tier5) , so i have the max capture power available on my drone (+35).
I tried 4 times to capture a Tier 3 illuvial.
i used for it cured EPIC shard the 4 times. it can capture a tier 4 or lesser... the one i tried 4 times is Tier3 ..

There is no main net yet, but you mean the color one, problem with test Net is that there is testing feature called Ethereal Illuvials and you are only able to capture max 3 per encounter, so I would stick with the color one

You did not loose it. It would not have spawned in the other version. Illuvials are only higher stage to make encounter harder. they are not supposed to be caught. Thats why they are ghosts. In other version you get more but mostly tier/stage 1

You don't understand the difference. They don't just give us only 3 Illuvials to catch and keep everything the same. The spawns are totally different. You can get everything in either version. I catch every stage 3 I see. And there spawn stage 3s for every tier

Not to be excessively mean since I know the team just wants rich people playing their game, however, the pricing model with all the bs rng and failure chances included is gonna cuck growth so hard. Not to mention this unbalanced bonding curve that definitely needs to be reformulated it seems like. Which bonding curve in consideration really gave the private testnet players an unfathomable bonus towards airdrop when you think about it, not that I have hopes of getting anything worthwhile to begin with myself.

And if the argument for high pricing /total spending requirements is web2 isn’t here I at least disagree that there is any real barrier to them playing if it were done right.
I’ve played guild of guardians now and it’s literally seamless, no difference from playing a web2 game even though it’s web3 incorporated.

In a lot of ways it's an experiment so good we are doing this test rn so they can see and find out things are F'd up and going to go poorly for official launch, however, they definitely are on a path of destruction with how things are set up now in regards to making illuvials so exclusive to early players. People want their illuvials to be worth a lot I get it, however, it's just not gonna be fun when so few people can actually own t3,4,5 if you consider the perspective of having hundreds of thousands or millions of players and yet here we are with maybe 500k illuvials minted now? Haven't checked yet everyone is struggling immensely to catch anything. It's not just about the UI bug then either, it's the money that would be wasted from such bs low successful capture rates. You gotta separate it and just make the illuvials appear less often instead of screwing peoples capture rates over, or start the capture rate much higher and decrease it a good bit slower. The other thing is to base bonding curve off of yes, how many are currently minted on the network, and then also how many players you have in total so it balances out better or something.... Give em time I guess and cross the fingers they find a solution before launch

There is f2p modes to consider and all as well where you can use all illuvials anyways, however, that still doesn't rationalize excessive ownership costs for all other aspects of the current and not to mention future games.

other cosmetic potential, serial numbers, some more options for determining the growth of an illuvial and maybe in the future more abilities can impact things greatly too.

one thought could have been to use GoG's approach potentially and have people use paid/earned items to convert their illuvials to official nfts as well which the cost rises and falls based on how many are currently minted. Though I don't think it's feasible to expect and I'm not saying this is the 'perfect' solution either.

I agree the pricing as is will be discussed as a controversial point especially for the general gaming population (non web3). Do consider though that you only can field one Rhamphyre on Arena, and only 8 Illuvials total. I also understand that the initial Illuvials should be the most valuable and scarcity helps with that. Also the team can lower the price without complaint but cannot raise it without losing players. It's a complex problem.

IMO the bonding curve causing non master shards to be wasteful on T4+ so quickly is the most alarming thing to me right now.

Technically you can, its based on how many mastery points you have left after you place your Illuvials, add gear etc.

The color icon version of map you can catch them all. The non color icon you can only catch 3. Both count for air drop points play which ever you want.
