Only because of the encounter mods. Now they don't have to make encounter ultra hard with mods. They can give us good compositions to fight which is more fun. Instead of giving every encounter +xx% damage that can't be countered you can now counter Illuvial abilities.

shards dont use energy. capturing illuvials consume mastery points. if you hover over the illuvial while in the auto battler it'll tell you how much an attempt to catch it costs
