Colored - Illuvium

Both are on Testnet, but previously used in PB, Grey - Illuvium(Testnet) now have Ethereal Illuvials,
Etherial illuvials can't be caught which makes Colored - Illuvium better version for Airdop points accumulation.

yes, there's some changes that aren't mentioned in the notes
like ethereal illuvials being present in fights (uncapturable)
that's most likely why you don't see everything, you only see what you can capture in the encounter

How to improve Ethereal Illuvials:

Ethereal Illuvials are a great idea. But without any explanation why they are necessary many players don't like them. Players feel like they miss out on all that great Illuvials in an encounter because they cannot catch them. But don't realize that these won't be catchable anyway without ethereals because they wouldn't even spawn. But with some improvements this can be fixed.

1. Make an announcement why ethereals are there
2. Change the purpose of scanning. Let us only catch a single Illuvial (the one we chased in OW) and not 3. By forcing a player to scan for more Illuvials players are forced to gamble to find something good. Then they scan and see common Illuvials (they can catch) and mostly higher tier/stage Illuvials (that are ethereal). With the scan mechanic the game always mocks you by showing you all he stuff that cannot be caught. If you can capture only 1 illuvial then you don't even have to scan and can just enter the encounter knowing what you can catch removing the gambling part. I would still keep scanning but the only purpose of scanning should be "can I beat that encounter or not". Scans should show all Illuvials, level of illuvials, encounter mods. With that you can skip scanning when you have confidence in your team but you can also use 25 energy to check before if you can beat the encounter without having to waste 625 energy.

I need some clarification.
When trying to capture an Illuvial there are 2 animations. One is the "sucking in" the illuvial. And then there is mozart trying to keep it in.
It seems to me that the percentage given is only for the second part. Is the first part really calculated for both?
My resplendant shards for T5 stage 1 is 49% chance right now. I did use about 50 of them and did not come close to 49% so far (may be bad luck). Whenever they got like "sucked in" the number is actually way closer to the 49%.

Ignore the tasks. They give you nothing. If you are new then focus on the basics. Go to stage 0 to build a team and upgrade your gear. Then fight your way through stage 1-3 by building stronger teams and collecting resources for drone upgrades. Tasks won't help you with any of this.

Feedback from playing roughly 50 hours private beta. Don't have permission to post in feedback section, so if someone wants to copy and paste : )- Tweak capture rates and make the master shard (100% guarantee capture rate) more difficult to craft ie need rare essences or rare ores..

• Need to improve UI for looking at illuvials or putting team. Can scroll to see all illuvials
• When building stuff in forge need to be able to change very easily rather than swapping back tabs.
• Should have option to craft augments.
• In overworld definitely need to include an illuvidex of captured illuvials similar to pokedex.
• Like the aspect of roaming illuvials. However we can bring back a floating mysterious wake in the overworld which has something different but you can’t scan it. Ie it would have a higher chance of contain of rarer illuvial or higher in it or give you more experience points for combat illuvial but higher encounter cost as well.
  There should only be 1 and quite small so have to hunt for it similar to the large shard deposits.
• Need ability to fuse/upgrade gems similar to diablo 2.
• Levelling up takes a long time. Flintcaps can increase experience. However, there should be a way to burn illuvial for a portion of experience points of the same illuvial. This would reduce supply overall as well.
• Fusion process need to more impressive visually eg pokemon evolving. Also need an incentive to level up and fuse compared to catching a higher stage in overworld.
• Should have an end goal for levelling up illuvial to certain level. Eg level to 50 or 100 can make a small increase stat of 1 part of illuvial . ie nft + alpha. Would reward players for playing with same illuvial .

• Need more options for drones and another slot but can not choose 2 of the exact same. Basically the drone upgrade to increase more illuvial slots is essential but not one would choose weapon or amour upgrades. Hence only have 2 remainder slots.
• Some examples of other drone option:

1. Perhaps may be give random mod to team as enemy teams now have random mods.
2. Ability to equip augments
3. Increase master points in battle to make space more stable so can place more illuvials or capture more…

• Need ability to sell on marketplace in larger quantities or trade rather than using currencies. Eg in illuvium zero marketplace can trade different fuels with each other. Should be able to do same thing with items ie say what you are asking for. More of a bartering system.
• Need marketplace for ores as well instead of just ingots.
  Overall enjoyable and positive experience so far.

@worn lodge the percentages on capturing are not completely correct, are they? If Mozart actually "sucks in" the illuvial then they seem correct. But what is the chance that Mozart does not "suck in" the illuvial at all and thus does not get to try to capture the illuvial?
I tested a ton of shards with about 50% chance and the 50% only is accurate once they are actually inside Mozart. But there are many more attempts that fail before that - hence the total capturing animation is not 50% but less

i don't think that's true. You should really test out he ethereal system first. You get less Iluvials to catch. But it is compensated by getting better Illuvials. In the old system you have 10+ low tier stage 1 crap Illuvials. Now you get more rare and higher stage Illuvials to catch. Yesterday I already encountered Monarch and Malura in OW. Found an encounter with 2 real Phyris in it.
The whole idea of ethereals is that they can populate the OW with more diverse Illuvials and not only the same stuff nobody wants anymore. And they can populate the OW even more because you cannot catch a whole encounter. So i hope in the end you just can run around and look out for every Illuvial without needing to scan. This would also make a catch run faster.

nah, I like the etheral feature a lot. Just gave a long ingame feedback about it. In short: Fights make more sense and are intuitive but it isn't balanced and progress is way slower. I think it gives a lot of positive playing experience since you have to travel more around map and scan encounters. Without ethereal it is pretty much luck and grind from a mid game.
