It is just so random. They got removed from augment crafting and then just got added everywhere without a dedicated use case. Looks like they didn't want to remove essences but also couldn't find a good use case for them

You can check out my idea. I would remove them from every craft and add them to illuvial fusing to give the player some power to manipulate illuvial stats

Or to try to carry over the better base stat to the next stage instead of making it completely random

Would also make harvesting plants more meaningful

I see potential in it if done right. But only if the community wants to be able to tinker with the fusion process.
Giving players some agency in it is not a bad thing as long as it's not game breaking making all illuvials have perfect stats.

Components are fairly straightforward
If you're trying to craft a Tier 2 item requiring components, you need to deconstruct other Tier 2 items of the same type to get the required component.

there's no cross-type or cross-tier requirerments for crafting (besides ore/essence)
so if you need a drone component, you need to deconstruct drone equipment
if you need weapon components, you need to deconstruct weapons

I also don't see any logic of having an individual value stat being "overall power". I would much prefer have 2 defensive stats, 2 offensive stats and the omega. Where the defensive stats would be the maximum HP and the resistances.

It's when your illuvials get exausted by fighting or dying in Encounter, you will get a red debuff which reduce attack speed.

It's the blue bar on your car when looking at it.

If you don't use the Integrity consummable called Ringnut to restaure them they will become grey in your deck while in the encounter so you would not be able to use them.

last I use the stage 1 Common Ringnut on it which Restores 20 illuvial Intergrity

Remove all items which are related to your dronchip. If it's + slots illuvials keep the default value of 4 illuvials in your deck and remove the dronchip. After that you will be ok.

Unequip your weapons and try again. I think I had the same and reported a weird bug. Can you try if it helps? Remove your crafted weapons from the slot in the ranger and from the menu at the bottom of the screen and report back if it works.

I already reported the bug. But maybe it helps anybody here:

It seems that while using the UI you can equip 3 weapons instead of 2. Without any extra weapon upgrade I can do that. Just drag 2 weapons in the bottom menu and a different one in the ranger slot. You now have 3 weapons even during combat.
BUT this breaks alot of things in the game.

1. You cannot fuse
2. You cannot deconstruct drone upgrades that you unequip from your drone
3. When you change Illuvials in your team and travel to a region. Your team is reset and you have your old team and not the changed Illuvials.

That's everything I found so far. Might break even more.

It's a know issue 3 DroneChips related to increasing Slots have the same issue.

**To solve it simply remove all your items which are related to the DronChip you want to change. **

Exemple: If you want to change weapon Dronechip you will have to remove all your weapons in your Deck by Pressing Z and remove your dronechip to put the new one in the empty slot.

The process Apply to illuvials and Suit.

And destroy my mining chip. Only by removing wepons. I think that the 3. slot on the ranger somehow acts as another weapon slot. So you overload your weapons by just using the UI

I also got random error messages that I have too many weapons equiped. I got these messages sometimes when I opened a menu, or my inventory. That's why I think it causes troubles because some check failed and preventing the other actions from happening. But the game works with the extra weapon. I even could use them in battles. But everything that changes something in my inventory or in the storage inventory failed. (e.g. fusing takes 3 illuvials out of the inventory, changing my team changes illuvials in the inventory, unequiping my drone chip changes the inventory)

i like the game overall but it has some critical aspects that i think must change. First the fact that leveling illuvials seems pointless for many reasosns. And second is the fact that the simplest, most straight foward way of improving fast in the game is to farm exclusively items to improve and max gear and only then go illuvial hunting. Its not a combined progression

the second one is specially reeeally worrying in my opinion

i cant think of 1 reason why hunting illuvials before maxing gear (or doing both at the same time) would be a good option. Is there?

You don't need max gear for stage 1 and 2. Just make your first upgrades and you are good to go. Only stage 3 is difficult without the right upgrades. But you can find plenty of illuvials without going into stage 3

I don't see it as a bad design that you are not limited by a linear progression and that the game doesn't tell you what to do first

Maxing out your drone for a specific task makes a huge difference in what you can get out of a run, and to me that's what makes the whole crafting/upgrading/collecting more fun.

But what would happen if they would sent the rare Illuvials into Overworld instead of hiding them behind scanning of a wake? would you run with mining Upgrades all the time and risk missing all that T4+ Illuvials running around? I think at this point I would just have Illuvial catch upgrades all the time and risk paying 10% more for my resources I mine.
I just can't think of upgrades that give you an enjoyable run every time without forcing you to min/max everything

This would put a lot more stress on the servers.
I recall the team discussing this last year, and they've been pushing for a design which incentivizes faster runs.

I just wanna say kudos to the team. OW is addictive and fun to play.

Even the Auto Battler in OW is slowly growing on me. Maybe we should add automatic camera zoom and movement during the battle and more tutorial and assistance to help the beginners and lot more players will fall in love with it. OW could definitely help to draw players into Arena.

From this first experience I would argue for keeping the auto battler in the OW and just adding a combat system as an alternative.

They could be like mini games in the OW metaverse, we might even add more mini games around capturing Illuvials later on.

We should have an option/genre for every type of player. Maybe even a paid gacha experience in the OW or some ways to buy capture rate improvements or for hints for how to place your Illuvials on the board.

But please don’t remove the auto battler from the OW !
