Use the hilde drone or any of the drones really. Press F to use the drone ability. Then fire at the illuvial.

When you get the chance to equip a weapon to your overworld loadout you’ll have the ability to use the weapon ability by pressing G. That’s really nice. Especially the swords since it’s powerful homing shots.

If you jump and aim while in the air time will slow and you can get better shots as well.

Energy is what you use in each stage to do actions (mine rocks , harvest plans, battle). You get 4000 before the level starts to collapse. Theres purple rifts that can give you a bit extra within that 5mins. But overall once your out of energy your run is finished and you exit to sanctum mesa

There is only a limited people to start ( i believe you had to be top 500 in illuvium beyond, arena etc. ) to start off. They will open it up to more people soon. Just be patient

Agreed. It was much higher previously. Personally I would like to see faster progression, getting all the illuvials is one thing, but then you need holo, then dark holo + high stats and level. The grind is there but we need to make sure people are hooked first

Yeah I feel like you need to get used to movement and how the illuvial are before you can really chase anyone down. I want to just fight and capture and having to chase something down for a minute before I can capture feels like it’s trying to do two game types at once

I wonder if part of it is gliding and sliding feel broken, maybe not broken but disconnected. It feels like you are taking steps. 1. Run 2. Boost 3. Slide and it’s a step by step process where it should be a fluid process

Like in most games it’s fluid when I can quickly launch forward and immediately slide. This game feels like you have to time the slide otherwise it doesn’t work

It's pretty easy if you activate the special power of your gun. Equip a weapon in your inventory (sword, etc.) and then press "G" during Illuvial hunt. And then with 3 - 4 bursts the illuvial stops. It also helps if you us mozarts slow down, or the box to trap the illuvial. But with the special fire of your gun you don't really need that. But it is also way easier with improved jetpack becaue you are faster. Shooting while in the air also helps because everything will be in slow motion

I had the same issue. Took me 40 mins to finish it.
One thing that helps is running up to the illuvial before you start shooting it

Use your drone ability. Jump before shooting. When shooting in the air everything is slowed down. Try to cut of it's route instead of chasing after it. After the tutorial it is much easier by using your special ability on the gun (press "G"). Then you shoot it down in no time.

Would be cool if rare illuvials appeared in difficult to reach part of the regions, and also would be cool that regions where much more threatening, not only by morphopods but by other things that can kill you. Platforms, other foes, timers, etc. I know this is for the longer term and it's pretty obvious, but I am leaving it here as it defintely would improve OW player experience.

Yes. I think that would make more sense. But I can also see why it decreases. It is mor casual friendly if it decreases because you get the big boost at the beginning. If it increases you have to plan better. And if you get the big chunk of energy at the end then maybe you cannot use it anymore becaue the doe already collapsed. That would feel bad. So a decrease might be the better solution here

Just had two encounters in a row where after the scan hidden illuvials(the ones shown only as affinity) where higher value/tier/stage than the ones that were fully identified, I feel that this is rather unnecessary RNG to hide high value illuvials, scanning is rather pointless if I need to do all of the encounters anyway just to see if there is a high value illuvial that wasn't identified.

Go on the Level0 map, make sure to use Consumable on the 1 Illuvial you have to buff it for that encounter. Fill up your roster first with how many illuvials you can get (it starts with 4)

For early game since you start the game with a Gladius for your ranger I suggest aiming for a Fighter comp. Its strong enough early game

When chasing an illuvial though its a pain as its tedius to go around clearing them all in the possible paths an illuvial may run. They are also small to see and usually directly above you which can be niggly to find them/aim above. I usually have to do 3-4 jump ups high then shoot down. Overall the slow/down pause mechanic just seems like its there to annoy you rather than bring enjoyment. I like the ones that just damage you

A skin is just a visual representation of that armour.

I.e. if you look at the rypterus skin for certain armour, you add a rypterus blueprint, items, and the original armour. The output is the newly skinned armour with only a new coating.

Well i'd say mostly Stage 1 runs combined with a few stage 2 .. like 2-3 stage 1 and 1xstage 2 .. repeat .. you mostly need Chrovium which you get the most in stage 1s

I couldn't say how many runs i've made ... but a lot just for farming
