For instance...

While the Core of Isolt Steward's wand, the Wand of Salazar Slytherin, contained a tooth of the Basilisk and when heard any form of Parseltongue was deactivated, the wands of Chadwich and Webster made by Isolt and James had Cores of the Horned Serpent, which when they heard Parseltongue, sung a low note that could awaken it's owners to any form of danger.

Which is the reason why Chadwich, who after overhearing Isolt talk with James about her evil Aunt Gormlaith, had nightmares of an old witch walking to the School of Ilvermorny to destroy and kill everything and everyone, was able to fight back Gormlaith when that actually did happen.

Another little bit of info,
Isolt, being a descendent of the Gaunt family, was able to speak Parseltongue. And when she met a Horned Serpent with the Pukwudgie helping her survive, was able to talk with it. One thing the Horned Serpent said very often to her was "Until I am part of your family, your family is doomed."

Please note, Chadwich and Websters wands which had Horned Serpent Cores, well, the Cores were from that Horned Serpent, which let Isolt shave pieces of it's horn off to make them their wands as 11th birthday gifts.
Chadwich got his first, turning 11 when Webster was still only 9
