I think the Wizarding World sorting quiz does a good job of helping people identify which traits apply most to them.
Similarly to how no one can know what house they’ll be sorted into in the books, it’s not guaranteed that readers and fans could do that either.
The sorting hat has also notoriously put people in houses that don’t completely align with their traits.
If you compared Neville Longbottom to that song, you’d think he’d be in Hufflepuff, and Hermione in Ravenclaw.
We’ve also seen that the sorting hat doesn’t leave your house up to your traits in allowing Harry to choose Gryffindore over Slytherin.
