Make sure the image you're saving doesn't have a background too. So remove the background layer and such

Usually I export it and share the png to discord or some other app, since files/gallery has a habit of converting a png to jpg at times

The only problem with some of these options is that they have to be in a specific temperament range to work.

So you need a gunpowder mix to let them work

Most of them will work without gunpowder

But they have to be a bit powder ish

Okay, this is very well done!💚
But to give you some constructive criticism, as an artist myself, I think it is overdone on the symmetry. I understand having a preferred side to draw/having a hard time drawing eyes evenly, but especially with the hair it is a bit too much. Perhaps what you can do is, if you have a favourite side you draw on for example the right, try draw that, then flip your drawing and draw the other side too on the right again but make it all free hand. I understand using mirror on the eyes that's fair enough and I do that myself but be careful overusing the mirror tool

Symmetry isn’t bad necessarily, but humans are so hardwired to spot patterns, and when spotted on characters it stands out, as they are usually very asymmetrical. It also goes against some design and composition rules, but rules can be broken.

Well, yes the point is less symmetry looks more natural thus it improves the art, and symmetry in itself is also a form of art, neither is bad just one i suppose pleases a wider range of audience

I also went out tonight with my most portable telescope, the skies were clear for once and the moon was spectacular. By the time I hooked up the camera my laptop died so I couldn't remote shoot but here's what it looks like through the camera

I don't have a connection piece for my camera to the telescope that I have, though it's a cheap telescope in truth

So I just used my dad's 55-300mm lens on my Nikon D3300.

The first picture of the moon that I posted was with an ISO of 100, F of 25, and a half a second exposure time.

The second one was with the same ISO, an F of 29, and a 1/6th of a second exposure time. Which gave it that wonderful orange colour.

Well I was thinking they could be put together with wood glue and then filed down to desired shape. Sure, it would not be a one consistent chunk of wood however it gives the opportunity to put a core inside

As for cores, well I've considered drilling a hole in the end and putting something like horse hair in place of unicorn hair

You could generate a normal map and depth map from the original image and use it as a stencil in sculpt mode to get all the detail in 3D then decimate the sculpt until you have a small enough face count and then apply the normal map for all the finer detail

Idea for a spellcasting user interface. Players select 8 hotkeyed spells for each of the 5 different magic types; Dark, Utility, Combat, Ancient, and Light. Not sure if 'Light' is even a magic type in the game, idc. the idea is that the player moves his right analogue stick and presses R2 to cast whatever spell is highlighted. try it out on a controller if you have one handy, it really feels like it would make sense and makes for a very smooth gameplay experience

the player could hold L2 to move the camera with the right stick instead of the spell selector
the D-pad would limit the player to 4 spells at once, this is quite.. well, limited

Do you guys have tips for drawing cartoon-ish characters?

I normally do realistic people drawings, but I want to diversify my art. Any tips for drawing cartoon characters?

Simplify, I guess? Maybe study how others (whose art you like) stylize their art, and try to emulate that? There's probably lots of videos online with tips about this. The most important thing (I think at least) is to draw, identify things you would like to change, and try again. Focused practice really helps.

Went a bit Gregorovitch-esque with this one with the natural look.

Mostly just needs more sanding on the grip and then going over with finer sandpaper before finishing with linseed oil.

Due to the heat this month I've struggled to get outside to work on wands but I'm glad I've got this one done.

I think in total it's taken me about 5 hours to get the shape of it, considering the point started as a part over an inch thick cos it's an off cut from the rhododendron bush we had in our back garden. Though I only did some 2 hours of work today

I'm thinking that I'm going to make tomorrow a finishing day as I have 3 wands that need a bit more sanding before being sealed with linseed oil to help protect against all many of things from water, sweat, scratches, and the like.

Then I'm thinking I might start work on either a new wand or a sword, one of the two.
