So give us one, maybe two quickly thrown together DLCs so we don't forget about you, then in 2 maybe 3 years, give us a a sequel that even the most angry hater would have to play.

If you didn't exit the game there is still a chance that HL didnt send saves to cloud so you can download saves from xbox cloud on your pendrive and then swaps files

How do I get my mask robes and mount I did the free collection got my guide book but it’s not in my items

For the mask and robes; open your gear menu in the guide book menu. Once you’re there hover over the robes and click on the appearance button (on PlayStation it will be the square button, Xbox it should be the x button and for pc I’m not sure.) then just change your appearance and do the same for all other cosmetic items.

As for changing your mount you can’t do that at the beginning of the game, only further down the line when you get to the quest that unlocks flying beasts.

I was in the middle of the early quest sneaking into the restricted section w sebastion, and a good ways into the quest, I get the message "gear slots full".... the UI doesn't make it clear that there IS a limit on gear slots, at least nothing I've found yet... but now I have to choose between destroying items I've got instead of selling them, going WAY back to a prior manual save (the last manual save I made was apparently AFTER it locked me into sneaking into the restricted section - meeting sebastion at night), or presumably missing out on pieces of gear I'm worried I can only get during this quest. i am so confused about how gear works in the game. Why can i only own 20 pieces of clothing? Why is it telling me to sell clothing that i may want to equip later?

Just sell everything, you constantly get better things and you keep the look of the item as an option.

Because you can make any piece of clothing look like any of your previously picked up clothes. You don't need to have them in your inventory to 'wear' them. Just change the appearance of your highest stat clothes to the one you want.

just go into the menu and hover over a piece of clothing and look at the button options, one should be 'change apperance' or something similar

Just get used to selling everything every chance you get early on or your inventory is going to fill up and you'll have to destroy some things. As you open more slots it becomes less of a problem.
