He's better than average imo in overall magical power and he's highly skilled in DADA and many areas of magic but in terms of overall power skill and magical knowledge, ya he loses out to the likes Albus, LV and GG big time. But he is a great wizard in his own right.
People do t need overpowered magic. Wit, cleverness, and bravery is the best combo.
And if all else fails, a friend who can pull a sword out of a hat.
Oh well.
Apparently embeds are disabled here
He admits he should have known about the ancient magic protection charm that HPs mom unknowingly put on HP, but he had no way of knowing his soul would detach on its own and go into HP afterward.
And that wouldn't have mattered if LV just hadn't insisted on killing HP himself or if HP had been killed any other way or by anyone else in the interim
LVs failures down to his complexity addiction, his need to come off as grandiose and smart to his followers, his underestimation of Love and making illogical choices or just not making more logical choices when it came to killing HP
I keep reading "LV" as "Lil Wayne" in my head
I just call him LV or Voldy
As of recently iv started calling him Volderina.
I honestly don't know why professor fig died after lifting one boulder meanwhile I was the one who killed the huge and super hard ragnarok dragon
I alrdy said ts b4 but
WHY
IS HE THAT OLD
Anyway um Sebastian sallow is fine shyt
Because when you pick the "evil" option (I will release the power) it makes more sense and I guess that was the intended ending 😄
I'd be disappointed if in HL2 the canon ending was the containment, because the ending is just poorly made.
Feels a bit weird if the canon is the evil ending after all the warnings the keepers gave and the trials
Yeah, but the evil ending makes more sense. You see Fig die before the fight, so "THIS IS FOR FIG" he shouts out at the end of the combat makes more sense that he shouts on both endings, even on the good one where Fig is still alive, and Fig dying on the good ending is just weird where he just collapses from using Wingardium Leviosa.
And it's not definitively "evil" ending. It's just an ending where you choose to release the emotions bottled up in the container. There's nothing inherently evil about it. I'd say in the long run it's the good thing, since keeping it there indefinitely is just tempting another evil wizard to mis-use it. It's all about how you go about it.
Hence why I chose to release it in my first run. It's just the logical option. The part that is evil about the whole thing is stealing people's emotions, and creating that in the first place.
Depleting that stuff just makes it so noone can abuse it ever again.
True, I always interpreted it as his body couldn’t handle the injury from the fall
For me Sebastian seemed annoying as hell for some reason. I even reported him for his uncle’s murder in the first run 🤣
Agreed. I kept him around just for his knack of finding new spells for me to learn. Couldn't tolerate his behaviour though.
Exactly! His whining was too much at the end. Also, it was a shame that if you rat on him - you cannot learn Avada Kedavra. So basically you HAVE to keep his murder a secret to learn the spells… It didn’t feel right.
Anyway, most likely will replay the game again to get the “evil” ending fully. Because I chose the “good” path before.
You can learn it and rat on him. Ratting on him is the quest after that one.
So you can learn it by saying "everyone should know that spell" and next time you meet him you tell Ominis that he should be exposed.
Oh damn, I didn’t realise..
Ah, makes sense, because I chose another answer about it as well, dammit 😀
Yeah, I did as well the first time. Then 5 hours of gameplay later I was curious as to why I didn't have the spell. Found out I chose the wrong answer. Luckily I had one save still there before that moment so I did lose 5 hours of progress but I got my spell 😛
Ha ha, I will know now. At least I did not unlock the full map yet so I will try to get a 100% by picking all vaults and Merlin trials by second playthrough
Yah and also even if it is the canon ending, all the player does is take a whiff of it and rest is contained. and given how history goes later, the MC either had no aspirations of taking over the world or they were stopped quickly and it was covered up
Okay yea that DOES make sense
HELP
but despite the character saying that, protagonist still reforms the repository. The same animation is there. That feels weird to me. Unless it somehow plays both. I wonder if that was just an "oops" from the devs
I thought that instead of forming the repository, the evil protagonist shouldve just collected the energy and sniffed it..,
He mastered tuffest spell expatro patronam
I just looked at both endings on YouTube again. Even on the "good" ending Fig gets smashed by the dragon right after you make your choice, meaning he really was pretty much dead when he assisted you. Used his last few seconds of life he was still clinging to to help you out. And I noticed that the video I looked at didn't even have the third option in the "evil" ending that I chose - I will use that power for myself.
The only differences are:
Good ending
Fig helps you contain it before dying.
Evil ending
You take a sniff of the stuff before containing it anyway. Fig is already dead, and his corpse never shown.
I still think the "evil" ending was the right choice. The entire plot and all the deaths happened because that stuff was locked away. If it had been released none of this would've happened, and none of the people would've died in the first place.
We contained it just for the next antagonist to come and start using it
But even with the ending the MC still chose wrong and contained it 😛
Who even labelled the "evil" ending as "evil"?
There's nothing evil about it .-.
It's as evil as Slytherin.
Yeah idk
If anything, the "good" ending is the "sheep" ending.
You just do what you're told without thinking about it.
I think I will stick to my bad endings on this one.
When hogwarts legacy 2 comes out, i will be picking the 'Redeem Myself' dialogue choice with extreme prejudice.
hopefully it does come out
If it had been released, Hogwarts could well have been turned into a crater or massive fissure
I doubt it. It was already pretty much released and most of the damage it caused was by Ranrok anyway. MC could've just inhaled it all.
What's there to redeem? Even in the "evil" ending you did nothing wrong 😄
Nah containment is better than getting crippled by it
Ranrok was a perfect example that you won't get crippled by it. Containment will just lead to the next antagonist finding it and repeating all the killings. By containing it you're just taking the easy way out by rolling the horrors and responsibility to the next person.
He got crippled by it because he couldn't control it
Isadora story is More better we could know more
isidora get one shot by the slytherin teacher 🔥 😂
She started all this
It would be interesting what is her Tru intentions
Plus she completey destroyed her Dad emotions
Making him nothing more than a puppet
And corrupted. It is corrupted magic and was actively corrupting the mind of Isadora. So the MC likely would be too
Her intention was to free people from their emotional pain from trauma. good intentions. wrong methods and executions and that corrupted into her using the spell on students so she could gain more of the magic like a junkie who will do anything to get their next fix. She was just drunk on the feeling and power it gave her after a point
She was definently showing addict like behavior with the inhalations.
So everything we got from her to support her own ideas and findings cant really be relied upon as a result. She is an even more unreliable narrator then the Keepers.
The Keepers feel like they might have some bias, but at least they can corroborate each other and none of them displayed addict tendencies.
I’ve just done the “In the Shadow of the Relic” quest, and while walking around the castle I ran into Sebastian sitting there eating Bertie Bott’s Beans 😭 😭
Bro, he just killed his uncle and his sister doesn’t even want to see his face
just finished the main storyline no one touch me
my dad (fig) just died and i’m feeling sick to my stomach ugh
I'm so sorry 😭
i felt so guilty choosing to absorb the repository since we didn’t have an ending w him but imo it was the better choice than just sealing it 😭
rest in peace...
oh yeah he just disappears right 😭
yes, i believe if we choose to seal it, we get to have an ending w him
Yea she completey neutralized her dad's emotions turning him into a puppet
She also absorbed one of the teachers emotions for power which the teacher didn't like
A portion of it
During rangok battle we clearly see that He needs to absorb the power in order the specially made arm's gauntlet to work
And during his dragon form
thank you ri
i chose to seal it and the ending was so cute
like sad but cute
If you choose to seal it, professor fig will aid you in the progress of sealing before dying and your mc will gave him miriam's wand so he'll pass away while holding the wand of his wife. If you choose to not seal, professor fig will be dead when ranrok transforms
rip fig
The sad part is, there's absolutely no way to save fig on whichever choices you make. That makes me think the real Unforgivable Curse in the game is the lack of 'save fig ' dialogue option 🥹
i hated that. there was no way to save him 💔he guided us through all that just to die at the end no matter what 🥲
choosing to seal at least doesn't kill him offscreen
just curious, what's the time gap between the events of Hogwarts legacy and fantastic beast/existence of Dumbledore?
well dumbledore currently exists
in MC’s 6th year, Dumbledore would’ve joined school as a first year
roughly a decade or two I'd wager
I wish there's a really way to save Anne
I wish we got to see her after the whole storyline aswell
if I can’t save her at least let me talk to her or smth
I have a hc that Anne and Mc became penpals like a month into our sixth year or smth
Same tbh
and without the woman's consent
7th year. albus is 2 years off entering the school in 1890
All we know of albus in his 1st year is he had no time for those trying to appeal to him over his dad's actions, he was uncommonly kind as he befriended doge who had dragonpox and by end of that year was considered according to the doge, the brilliant student who ever set foot in the school
so if he was to appear in a sequel while we were still there he'd have to do some major magic to make the claim true
wasnt his father in azkaban at the time (or had he already passed by then)
for go after those muggle kids
his dad was in azkaban yes
some students thought he would approve of them buttering him over his father going after the muggles after they hurt ariana
huh? from the wiki
Posthumanously after his death sometime in the 1890s, Percival become a grandfather to his youngest son, Aberforth's son, Aurelius Dumbledore, born after the young man's relationship with a girl from Godric's Hollow the summer of 1899.
they assumed he approved of his dad's actions basically
yah the dad died in azkaban at some point
he would be a grandfather living or dead
No I am confused where does that come from
the son of aberforth
fantastic beasts movies
its the big secret of dumbledore in movie 3
I thought Grindlewald was lying
either that or he made the wrong conclusion based on info he had
he said credence was their brother
he's not
but he is a dumbledore
then who was on ths ship with him (cuz leta swapped Credence/Aurelius and her actual brother Corvous)
oh wait no i did see 3 just ages ago, when it first came out and I have forgotten most of it
like who else?
i dunno. a nursemaid prob
they ain't important iirc
Ah fair
i just tend to overthink things
That quest is so funny
NOT THE LECTERN IN THE GREAT HALL
OH GOD
OH OKAY TIS THE ELF
I THOUGHT FOR A MOMENT ID GIVE A SPEECH
🙈
No definitely interact with the lectern
See?
I had to look up what he said cuz all's I got was "Attention students! BELCH"
CHEERS
Yeah it's super annoying when it gets cut off like that, ffr interact with the lectern before talking to Scrope, it's only after that that the potion starts to wear off
But that's hilarious
I was laughing non stop. Espically after Sharp and Garreth
I am going to turn in Sebastian not because it is the right thing. No my character wants power and Sebastian is in the way
but im pretty sure even if you don’t turn him in, he just leaves u alone, you sometimes see him hanging out with ominis but most times he’s just chilling
Thsnks
I love hoe he became a dark wizard
It is for his sister
dark wizards are always after something
it's just that for seb he's after a cure for anne
the rest of them in game are basically after power or wealth
That reminds me of when I flew past a poacher camp and one of them talked about killing unicorns. I was so mad I flew back and whacked all of them.
I don't leave poachers alive
or ashewinders, really
basically if I'm flying across and they happen to get into my screen and los, they're dead
some 'braver' ones will get aggro and attempt to blast me down from my broom that is
I save one and kill him with crucio
U dark wizard
I Guess
Your a snake off couse u are
😆
Beasts matter
Nah they just free money
Just finished playing it for the second time just to see the how the more “evil” ending plays out. I felt so morally bad saying that I want to open the dark magic cage. Just to let Fig down before he died.
All in all feels like final choices don’t matter much since the ending is basically the same.
it is incredibly sad. that's why when i did that type ending i played as isadora's daughter. so it made sense
it spins an incredibly fun narrative about people not learning from history and making the same mistake over and over again
One issue is, the ending can't alter what comes next in the story
GG will rise and fall
then LV rise and fall
A good or evil potentially AM amped MC would have to be dealt with somehow whether by holding way back in wars later or just not being involved at all or dying prior to them
Like HL MC is one of if not most powerful wizard/witch in recent history and thats as a teen at Hogwarts
An MC with mastery of AM and amped at that, alongside their mastery of other magic would be unstoppable if they chose to fight in wars or take over the world
Unless they just get caught off guard or fail to dodge a Killing Curse in time
I have a question: I'm doing fine in gameplay until I meet Professor Weasley at the secret room. I start to walk into the room and the game kicks me back to desktop, Has anyone else had this happen?
Sorry, trying to figure out how to do that. We did it differently at work.

I have attached the video to my post in https://discord.com/channels/750787322349355108/1063582649647628409
I figured out my last problem: I hadn't done the previous quest.
But now, of course, I can't figure out something else. This time I have all the needed charms, and all the previous quests. I am in the second part of Charles Rookwood's trial, and I cannot get the pillar and the platform on the matching sides. After trying for forty-five minutes, I switched to another screen and checked out Google. The instructions sounded clear, but it was like a story problem in math. I tried copying the instructions, but again, can't get the pillar and the platform matching. Called up a video, watched the relevant pieces over and over again, and I still can't match the pillar and the platform. Can someone try to explain it to me as if you're talking to a 12-year-old?
I'm not 12, of course. I was born - truth - in 1956. I ought to be able to figure this out, but it's just not working. I have a brand-new laptop and I refuse to throw it out the window in rage.
So I would really appreciate some advice.
Rookwood's trial is the most annoying imo. It's a little hard to explain in words and tbh I still need to take a few tries to get it right
Okay, then, I'll just keep trying.
You'll get it sooner or later lol
Thanks. There have been things in other games where I have to ask someone to do it for me because I just can't. Fast Driving in CP2077, for example.
You need to pull the brick through the archway so that it's resting on that platform thing above the stairs, then go back through so it's in pillar form and you can climb up to get to the platform on the archway, then while you're standing on it, hit the target to make the archway spin while you're on it
That's the simplest way I can put it
At least I think that's the part where you're at
Yeah, it is. I will keep trying. I don't give up easily.
Part of the reason I do this is that it keeps my brain active.
Makes sense~
Otherwise, I take too many naps.
I did it! I finally did it!
WOOO
One of my favorite scenes is when we meet sirona and harlowe comes in and sirona and EVERYONE in the three broomsticks protects MC from them, i just love it
Hell yeah
Im in post game now on finding the pages i missed, one area is irritating at the goblin mine
just spam revelio in each area
I'm keeping a tick box notes to make sure I use ancient magic on all the enemies, I have bee. playing since 2023 and still havent done it so now I'm keeping track
Make sure you include 'mongrel', not just 'dark mongrel', it's needed for the achievement but not listed in your collection.
okay I have thanks
