Depends how much of an HP fan you are. I'm absolutely loving exploring the castle and seeing all the lore I know come to life, such as the Book and Quill of Acceptance.

@lapis horizon I would say i liked the movies. And it's why i played and keep playing the game.
The world is well made. But everything is repetitive or copy/paste. Too much collectibles (pages with information were interesting, but a page just to loot a page ...), too many chests with no rewards in it (or 5 gold)
And even the story, it's not bad, but it's always the same : I can't tell you where is the test so help others and train => you help others for side quests and they say thanks but will inform later for the next step => Test number X with portals, moving stairs and a big boss xD

The chests don't matter too much unless you want cosmetics.

But for me, it's not about the pages, it's the objects and locations that searching for those pages takes you too. I grew up reading the books, so seeing everything come to life as I previously imagined it is all the reward I need.

Sure the pacing of quests may be a bit dull after a while, but the amount of detail and history poured into it is crafted with love and a true understanding of the books, both in graphics and lore.

Plus those Revelio pages are the only way to actually gain XP and level up.

@lilac moat Flying with a creature is totally different because you can't do 360° with an animal. For broom, to understand how it works, activate the "cruise flight" or something like that. You'll just have to control up/down and left/right

@lilac moatIf your mouse has thumb buttons, you can always assign the down to one of those. I kept having the issue of accidentally hitting [shift]=stop when I wanted [ctrl] for down. Making this remap was a game changer for me. You can have two button assigned, so you can still have [ctrl] as down. I actually remapped my dodge to [e] as well. Protego at [Q] and Dodge at [E] again instead of [ctrl].

The biggest hint IMO that the PC version was an afterthought isn't even the awful optimisation.

It's that the game shipped with outdated DLLs for the Nvidia DLSS and Frame Generation, the newest DLLs were publically avaliable BEFORE the game launched...

You can manually change them yourself but consumers shouldn't have to.

The updated DLLs make the DLSS upscaler look better

And the Frame Generation also looks better, as the one that shipped with the game causes UI elements to become sizzley

do me a favor , upload your save to the cloud and then pull the connection from the xbox or just turn off cloud saves, then delete your local save. After that just start a new game and re save it, see if you can both save after that point. If that works re enable cloud save and let the cloud overwrite it.

Did everything I could, also the thing you tell me. The problem is that game progress makes save file grow bigger. At some point autosave stop because of almost full storage and I save manually but have to delete and save again so the file won't exceed storage size. I did cloud thing but it pulls the same file size and what we need is autosave that saves to 1-2 files, not 7 files + manual saves + other characters. Same problem on PS as people report. Sadly I can't delete autosaves from console and also had to delete 2nd character because no one could finish the game.

Steam reports size of files which will be "touched". Patch could be 1MB, but if it touches file which is 10GB size steam will "tell" you 10GB 😉

Alright, specs are in for RT off (TBH I prefer it off because software shaders are better than what RT does, RTX and RT is just a fad)

- FPS (Ultra, RT off): ~120 in Hogwarts (low 1% is 80), 60 outside (low 1% is 45)

heres a tip you dont need wingardium leviosa, you can get away with accio + leviosa

but once you unlock the spell you can just use accio and it automatically goes to windgardium leviosa because the devs knew i would do accio + leviosa

Not in the games I've played. Every Resident Evil game, the Dead Space remake etc have awful, sizzling screen-space reflections.

And all of them have the issue where they can only reflect stuff that's on screen, so turning the camera makes the reflected image vanish.
