The timer on the quick saves are misleading. It actually only starts counting after you opened the menu and continues even after the game is paused so it could be an 8th hour timer but still be on the same spot as a 3 second one

They should add a channel for people to talk about the random encounters of magic they come across for example:
I had a painting tell me a prophecy that later happens in game

The suit of armor that becomes progressively more violent each time you pass it

Two students that I saw get howlers
(One because the parent was unhappy with the child’s house, the other because the kid lost all their school supplies)

A kid who was levitating and his friends desert him saying he’ll be fine staying there till tomorrow then someone walks by and says he’ll be like that for a week

Restarting the game is always a good measure for these things. If on steam, verify properties. You can also just reload on a save file before the glitch happened. Unfortunately, the game still has technical issues so there’s nothing we can really do about it

There’s like 5 auto save points. The game gives more than enough for players, just not hours of worth to go back on. Auto saves - will delete themselves at a certain point to free up space for newer auto saves

I suppose you’ve got nothing to lose now. I’d probably try to do a manual save separate to the original save you have at the beginning then try to load into that to see if it might help.

Um, I don’t think they’d be able to do anything because it’s a personal issue to do with your own saving process. I wonder if you have another quest available. Could you go there and see if that it might start any of them? That way you’d go through the loading screen process and it might reset and let you save. I’m just throwing out ideas. Id try absolutely everything you can beside that, it’s looking like you might have to start again and just sadly learn a lesson to always save.

If you teleported to the floo flames beside the herbology class that’s an auto save, if u start the quest that’s a second auto save, if you talk to someone and it progresses the quest (where you can free roam in between) that’s an auto save

But if ur moving right now, those auto saves might be over written already so..

What im trying to say is, if you use revelio every 5 meters finding field guides is fairly easy especially on cramped spaces like hogsmeade and hogwarts. But there are some weird angles on some field guides and they don’t show or sounds dont trigger even if you’re right next to them at the most obvious spots and those are the easiest ones to miss and arguably the hardest to find

Side note, based on what I'm hearing from the Revelio spell, specifically having to spam it, they should add a press and hold feature, when you can walk around continuously casting it. Sort of like Lumos. Maybe give it a cooldown and a maximum duration of sorts, but the whole spam spam spam spam to find things really feels like an unavoidable feature at this point.

Did anyone else saw improvements after the PC patch? Before the patch I had big fps drops and stuttering in some big rooms like the astronomy tower (I was getting 20-30fps for a few seconds) with medium mode and RTX OFF. Now after the patch, I have high graphics mode and RTX ON medium, and the lowest fps that I got was 55FPS!!! Pretty amazing. I still get stuttering some times but its fine, not that noticeable.
