Please try this I found a fix to unpack it. Library > downloads > top right gear icon > downloads tab > steam library folders > check box Hogwarts Legacy > top right 3 dots > repair folder. Hope this helps

(1) Restarting Steam does NOT work.

(2) DO NOT delete your depotcache; this is ONLY A TROLL, meant to make you suffer.

(3) What appears to ACTUALLY BE THE PROBLEM is bad Steam management of keys entered on Steam from any store other than it. The company (WB) should have already contacted Steam to let them know what is going on and they will be trying to fix it.

(4) You literally CANNOT do ANYTHING right now, EXCEPT;

(5) Go to customer-support, follow the link there and submit a ticket to WB for the game. Demand a refund for your inability to access the game on the promised released date & time. Leaving an angry retort should also prove useful for later. At the very least, they will compensate us in the next days with something that they will deem worthy enough. At best, we will get a full refund.

(6) After you make the ticket -and depending on your timezone- either go for a walk, sleep, eat or do anything you want for an hour and come back to check the game. Otherwise, come back tomorrow; they'd better fix it by then.

(Btw, he was released because they didn't have evidences pointing it). It took them four years to actually achieve any success with the Diner, as they learnt from little Michael that Fredbear was boring. William them designed a new mascot: a yellow furry suit of a rabbit called Bonnie. The chemistry between both characters worked like black magic and the success rained on them like rain in a rainy day. The amount of money they got was so much, William used it to test his engineering skills, designing the first two Spring Lock suits: which were obviously Bonnie and Fredbear. The success increased. Freddy Fazbear's Pizza The Diner's success was so big, a company decided buy it and open a franchise around it. Hanry and William sold it, seeing a whole lot of profit coming from it, but there was a catch: the company used sneaky legal actions that allowed them to have the diner 100% under their possession, erasing Henry's and Michael's name from it. The company then opened Fazbear's Entertainment to take care of everything. William was so pissed because of this he cut any relationship with anyone involved with the franchise. Henry, on the other hand, didn't know any other thing to do, so he asked for a job; he became Phone Guy. FFP opened in 1973, and featured four furry suits of animals: Freddy Fazbear, a recolour of Bonnie, Chica and Foxy The Pirate. This made William even more pissed when he learnt they made four animatronics without him. He started planning his revenge. Btw, the Diner was still opened - as a sister location for FFP. The Origin of Purple Guy In 1976 William had twins: a little blonde girl and a little brunette boy. He started to teach Michael to take care of them, because "Daddy won't be around forever". During his free time, William started designing and projecting new robots (he hated the name "animatronics") and plans for his own company: Afton Robotics. But he had another plan under his sleeve: ruin FFP from the inside. He disguised himself as Dave Miller and started working applied for day time security guard at FFP. As he was always wearing purple - the uniform's colour - and usually hid in the shadows to stay out of sight of anyone who might recognize him, he was nicknamed by every child as "The Purple Guy". Hi guys, I have Hogwarts Legacy on Steam, and play with Nintendo Switch controller.

However whenever I want to cast a spell, the spell is not on the right button. In the graphics for example it shows Lumos is on X, but it's on Y (which is empty spell still in the menu). You can't change the settings of the controller, and can't move the spells yet. Am I doing something wrong here? Anyone knows this issue?

Technical Support, PLS:
A few people are having black screen issues after a crash or something like that. Where music is still playing I believe, but no visuals. Might this be because of a need to upgrade a graphics driver? Or might it be a need to reinstall the game? Or something else? I've seen a few people report it on here. And my girlfriend has the same issue, on a laptop. Not sure of the specs on it though!

Don't hold your breath. You likely won't get a straight answer. This is mostly a virtue signal. I mean these people still buy stuff from China all the time. Despite their government putting people into concentration camps. Hating this game is easy and comes with 0 effort. The fact is many of them will likely buy this game on some sock account and still tell their friends they have never played it. Slacktivism at its finest.

Like, JKR aside, Avalanche should not be proud of this production. Lighting issues, FPS loss, mechanics are dodgy, plot has a ton of holes… etc etc. And MODS can we please get rid of the 5min lock on responses? People literally can’t interact with each other. Makes having a discord General chat literally pointless. Considering the air around this game and the very vocal group against its creation, if you ever had any hope of having a well-monitored discord for it, then you’re not too bright.

Did they patch the performance issues? I just played for an hour and it was stable 100-120 fps on ultra settings. 1440p
