as far as i know, those two are the same essentially. the only really differentiating version is the ps5 version as it grants you exclusive 72 hr early access and you get in game exclusives that i believe you would have to purchase in game separately. for example, the dark arts battle arena comes with the ps deluxe edition, but if you have just the standard base game you will have to purchase the battle arena separately in game. as for xbox, i don’t believe there are any exclusives but anyone can feel free to correct me if i am wrong.

Epic has no way built in to pre-download, so they probably scrapped it since they couldn't do it with both Steam and Epic, because it would make Epic mad to have yet another way Steam is shown to be better than them
