One thing I really want to see, is a rule system, as in, the game allows you to do things even tho you shouldn't, like sneaking around the castle at night, and if you get caught by patrolling professors then you get into trouble, etc, and you can learn more advanced magic by night time strolling to the restricted section of a libary

You only need to learn the characters, how to do the strokes properly. Sentence structure is basically whatever you want. Grammar is fairly simple, learning and differentiating characters is a lot more challenging.
