My short list for hopes with this summer content update is, NG+ that keeps collection progress and adds two more levels of difficulty, some kind of live service daily quest with holidays and special events, new types of pets to collect for materials needed to upgrade gear one more time for the harder NG+ difficulty, an EXTENSIVE optimization patch for PC which is still in a pretty sorry state, and a couple of QOL things like indicators to show if you already collected appearances, how many materials you already have in pack, etc.

In the later years though, you theoretically should be allowed to drop the cloak and just wear a jumper or shirt. If the teachers know you enough by year six and seven especially. You'd never know it by the game making everyone wear cloaks. Could've been a great way to distinguish older students

Step 1. Big TV, set to HDR Game, but also having my own customisations done to help make warmer colours pop and reduce noise and grain.

Step 2, sit my blind behind right in front of said TV

Step 3, turn on subtitles for everything, be disappointed when the largest text option isn’t enough and doesn’t affect any other text in the menus, resulting in needing to squint and lean very VERY close to read anything

Step 4, play game, using muscle memory and using what I have left of my limited vision, grateful that the settings inadjusted for the TV help make the yellow and red indicators stand out more, but also learn which spells or attack patterns are blockabke and which need to be dodged

Please note: these steps are adjustable as blindness is a spectrum and other visually impaired and/or blind folk might have their own preferred setup or method to continue a beloved hobby like gaming despite their disability.

Here is my wall of text.

@red finch Not sure what your eyesight condition is and i am not sure i should be asking you to describe it. But what you described was basically my daily life until recently, because combination of my sight ... impediments made it so that my focal distance was 1" (not foot, one inch) in front of my nose and as a kid i was told i will be 100% blind by the age of 20.

Luckily medicine advanced slightly, i got scleroplastic surgery to strenghten my ocular background so my eyes don't tear themselves inwards and over 2 decades after said surgery i can still see.

I was told, that laser surgery was not possible for me due to very thin lens and very high value (-23.5D/3C) needed to be corrected. Luckily i was able to get implants similar to glaucoma ones, except they kept my natural lens so i can focus and i no longer need "professor Farnsworth" glasses.

What they cannot fix (yet? fingers crossed) is
• thin retina [ which ~13y ago in right eye prolapsed inwards directly in macula spot (highest "density"), so that portion of "picture" is simply nonexistant to me (think "black hole" effect - you look at ring in front of you and it looks tiny) ]
this causes
- somewhat "dim" (but not by brighness, rather .... not sure how to describe it properly) picture
- bad sensitivity, especially at night
- "ghosting" effect in low light conditions - basically afterimages following any higher-contrast edge of moving object
• floaters - a LOT of them
• that dead spot in right eye described above

what might be fixed, maybe, is
during implant surgery they slightly misaligned one of lenses, so my vision is slightly shifted diagonally in one eye. Oh well...
to be able to get this surgery i had to have two holes lasered through on top of my iris. Holes through which false-light bypassing lenses canpass through. So instead of one point light source i can see 3...

Some time ago i was at convention where they showcased a simulation in VR of what current optical implanted chips can do for completely blind people. I expected 8-bit pixels. What i saw was 90's low-res slightly lower refresh rate video, that if object moved close enough, you could clearly READ written text. Through a chip in your brain instead of eyes !

AND IT HAD COLORS!

Arresto Momentum is a control spell so it can break yellow shields. Cursing an enemy does exactly what that infobox says, it makes your attacks do more damage to the cursed enemy.
