Hey everyone, i've got a question: Is it 100% confirmed that there will be no Ravenclaw house quest nor a companion. Read that very often, but nothing really official.

it does seem like we wont have an official 4th companion being a Ravenclaw. We will have other friends in various houses but i dont think a specific companion is coming or they are keeping it secret for some reason?

Hey guys, I do not know if you all know this, but the MC will wield one of the Deathly Hallows at one point, as per the achievements for the game.

My theory (keep in mind, I can not put it in #🧠theories as this is a spoiler) is that the MC will most likely wield the Resurrection Stone. However the achievement does say "The Hallowed Hero - Wield 'a' Deathly Hallow", so I am not sure if we get to chose, or it is something that is already set in stone.

Anyways, why I think that it is the Resurrection Stone that we will get out hands on, is because the Elder Wand was in the possession of Mykew Gregorovitch between the late 1800s and early 1900s, and since the game is set in 1890, it is unlikely we will have it. As for the Invisibility Cloak, it was exclusively handed down by the Peverell-Potter lineage, with the exception of Albus Dumbledore, who never actually used it and only studied it and then passed it down to Harry Potter. However, if we as the MC come into possession of it, maybe we ourselves are of Peverell-Potter descendent?

Regardless of what any leak said, credible source or not, it makes sense for them to experiment with Quidditch gameplay. Like, give a player on a broom the ability to throw a ball, catch a ball, hit a ball with a bat, see how it works, make NPCs do the same, with some rudimentary AI to do that in a pattern, see how that feels like.
It would surprise me if they didn't, since many of the Animations exist for that.
The fact that we don't have playable Quidditch means they chose to scrap it rather than spend extra time and budget to add the details and nuance and balancing and framing to finalize and put together the whole experience...

Im somewhat disappointed in that there isn't a morality system... Although this is not a total letdown since same thing can be achieved via story dialog decisions as well.

I can see it as a gameplay choice of "let players 'be' the spell and unlock the thing" to make it more than just a "unlock and move on". It keeps you engaged, even if its not strictly in line with the lore

I believe basically you have rotate two wheels independently until you find the spots where the small wheels on the right spin at maximum speed, and then it opens... Its not as complicated as it looked like at first.

Yeah, but from a gameplay perspective its more engaging for you the player to do that bit too, so in essence you are the spell in this minigame. But as I said, moving two thumbsticks simultaneously is something that some people just cant get on with very well or physically cant do very well so some form of artificial assistance or bypassing it might be needed for them to not punish them

It's not an issue for me personally, I've been playing with controllers and console games since I was 3 years old 😆 just a thought for some people I know who do struggle using thumbsticks

Global Illumination with RT is the realistic use of ray tracing to bounce light around a scene, light is more natural, and shadows more diffused based on it. For example, light isnt always white, if it bounces off something green that colour is also visible on nearby objects where it bounces, RT GI simulates this use of light making the scene look much more grounded and natural.

In terms of cost, it honestly depends but GI is more costly because it's used on a larger scene, RT reflections can be kept to a minimum and only in range of the player camera if used effectively lowering its cost dramatically

it seems like the standard pull your to thumbsticks to a side and hold them in place till the mechanism unlocks, so like right thumbstick goes all the way to the right, while left thumbstick goes up
