The one thing that I couldn’t do is put a Band-Aid on her bridge of her nose, so I had to improvise I giving her freckles, which was dark enough to look like a Band-Aid

since I couldn’t add black stripes to outline her lips, I decided to just make her lips a natural pink color

Pink lips are definitely better, but yea I agree with @half onyx about the skin tone...though not too dark. See in your reference photo how it has a little more yellow tint to it? So slide the hue right a bit and then go slightly darker. The freckles actually work super well...even without the band-aid it really helps give her the face shape she needs. Nice job! Also wouldn't Feria be a bit more appropriate?

Ahh, I remember the days when this channel was 100% pics an QRs with an understood and unspoken "no chat" rule... Lol

A possible route is having one channel that restricts anything but pics and one channel specifically for pics looking for feedback (they don't need to be found for long)

The first channel can maybe be organized by character, like Beauty Lab was. As for requesting QRs, that can be made into a possible third channel that's meant for requests, including requests to make a model after a specific character or person

Maybe a bit of a looser chat than the feedback channel

Lastly, I would recommend a photo mode channel, specifically for those types of screenshots. All these channels might seem a tad overkill, but this has become an active subcommunity of it's own

Ik someone did say the QR between platforms is wonky so sometimes the PC ones don’t work for console, idk if that’s true

For console if you don't have the cosmetics used it messes up. Like if they have hair, makeup, eyes, scars you don't own it won't work. For PC they can copy regardless if they own the cosmetics or not it switches to default for them

1. You do not play the same platform as Original user

That's a bug on PC, it doesn't mean platform as in PC/console. It means image sharing platform, which is not supported on the global version of the game

if PC fails importing a QR code normally, it tries to use a CN image sharing service to import instead

and that fails because it's not available on global, it gives that misleading error

so it ends up hiding the real error

You have to see it like this. The channel/Character Forum purpose is to share custom Character creations, by giving it a seperate channel for chatting it will prevent people from posting every little question they have inside the forum turning it into a mess or even worse they want to reach more people and go post their character creation related questions in the general chat. Since the purpose of the people entering the forum is to look for character creations and not answering questions... Mainly atleast. That seperate chat channel I believe can prevent these small questions to be atleast spilled into a seperate channel without affecting the content in the forum and without trafficking the other chats.

you are likely victim to the logo being too large and covering too much of the QR code

try adjusting some colors by 1

then sharing again, it should create a different code

and I can try decoding that one

on PC it usually means the QR code quality is too poor, like someone resized an image smaller

PS5 and Xbox both render the game at 4K regardless of what display resolution you have set, so when a screenshot is taken, and someone resizes that screenshot smaller, to say 1080p, then the QR code becomes blurry

in your case you couldn't figure out why it was getting resized smaller

so it might be something that happens automatically with xbox services

What I’ve been doing is I would go to the share option press the select button on my controller. There’s a QR code in the bottom half of my screen then I take a screenshot of it. It ends up being saved on my Xbox has a pic then I save the picture that was taken on. My Xbox saved it onto my phone, then shared on the NARAKA discord, custom character channel.

for some preset images like the one you linked, some manual effort is involved to try and clean up the QR code so it can be decoded properly

(the one you linked was a little blurry and suffers from the "logo too big" issue)

yeah that QR code is meant to be decoded with your phone

it takes you to a page where you can import preset QR codes

and they'll be added to your account in-game if imported successfully

(normally I would say you should delete that image, but the link expires in 5 minutes and if someone abuses the link to import random stuff you can delete the presets in-game easy enough so it's not a huuuuuge issue)

I saw this on a google search just now:

The app doesn't download full res images until you explicitly tell it to, probably as a speed/bandwidth optimisation.

To get the full-res image you need to use the Share button, and then either the Save option (downloads and saves the full res image to your phone), or the Share to... option (downloads the full res image and hands it off to the system share function so you can upload to imgur/post directly to reddit/etc).

It literally doesn't matter if it's from a different platform.. I'm on Xbox and use PC ones. There's an error with the QR when it says the platform one or you don't have something used in the customization i.e. scars,makeup etc (shouldn't apply though since you're PC)
