It is because you are new, new players will get throw into bot matches even if they looking for normal (so they are not getting nuke right out of the gate). For beginner characters, I would say anyone up to your preferences, but avoid Tarka (fire dude), he teaches a lot of bad habits for new players

U can use a tech called bump dodge

Basically you can reset the dash status by dashing, initiating a weapon repair, dashing again instantly

It's going to result in 2 tap dodges

Yes F is your skill and V is your ultimate.

Those are the default binds for MnK so it’s how most people refer to them

but someheroes don't have 3 skill for exp : in ping viper ning f2v3 but in game she only have 2skill 2ulti so

Characters are in the process of being reworked down to only 2 skills, so all characters released after the change only have 2, and the older cast is still being edited

For viper, f2 is silence f (F1 now) and v3 is v2, the ult that allows full movement/combat while channeling.

Viper is the most recent to be changed from 3 skills/ults down to 2

Iirc Shayol was the first character to release with only 2 abilities and ults, so everyone after her also only has 2 and then the older cast is still being reworked.

I don’t play solos personally, but it used to be heavier on stamina/grapple distance compared to trios pages with a lot of rage. I’m not sure if that is still true or not

Some solos players go all the way into green to get lower cooldown on their combo breaker and then whatever is left goes to red for rage

technically speaking any action is not safe unless you know that enemy can't punish (out of range, under cc, is airborne etc)
so alot of time when you're attempting to win neutral you're performing an unsafe action
also it's not like all of ur opponents are AI with input reading and frame perfect reaction with the server on their side anyway
my opinion is it's still worth af to attempt for the light after the dash stagger even if it's an untrue

feria is also good support but she is not a healer ofc but super easy to play

it gets easier if she takes mech herself all the time, but it's not intended like that at all

if you want to play feria well, you need to give mech to teammates to enable an ult rotation

which means you're playing a character with no combo breaker, healing ability or ultimate and you're constantly getting targeted

skywalk executions are also mechanically difficult, it's a skillset that's like a minigame within naraka and totally separate from the rest of the game

a lot of things can go wrong when dropping down the mech as well

to answer this, there are a very few things that cause this. Namely, abilities that give true i-frames to the character like temi F or yoto teleporting after an ultimate slash, or a kurumi teleporting to her umbrealla or teammate. If timed correctly these will negate the charm or stagger from tessa V2. Transformers who start their ult at the right time also can negate this, Monk, Yueshan, and even a Feria or one of her teammates if they enter her beacon at the perfect moment.

when i went for rank 1 ziping, i was competing with a ziping who spammed duo games for 12-16 hours a day, she had a <1.0 KDR and less than 10k average damage

ziping was my most played character, but i also played 2 other characters at the time

i get 2.2 KDR and 15k average damage, yet it was really hard to keep up with that ziping

i know you want to feel special about your achievements and learn from good players, but you don't know the basics

hero rating is meaningless

rating in general is meaningless

stats can say something about your gameplay (KDR, winrate, avg dmg)

though there are also ways to inflate stats systematically

good players have high rating at a low game count with a wide champion pool

so they reach e.g. 6000 solo rating in 150 games and play all characters (meaning they have a low hero rating)

meanwhile there is people right next to them in the leaderboard with the same rating and 600+ games

and much worse stats

any good player will agree with this

if you need 3-5x the games good players need to get the same rating as them, you are noob
it's common sense

besides, what do you expect from a game that tells you that you're rank 27 in your city on your main character after literally 2 ranked games

they just want you to feel affirmation to make you play more

skill is a spectrum and these are on the very low end

the glyph page depends on the strategy of the team, if you ask specifically about grappling distance, that one is negotiable

common builds with grapple include rage/energy (with skill cd), rage/carved jade/grapple, higher rage without cd, etc.

some teams argue that grappling distance is skippable on monk comp because it's more important for viper comp which needs to run away after wuchen TP

but since it is relatively cheap to pick up, a lot of players pick it

in EU, some scrim teams pick carved jade, but shop builds that go beyond carved jade are uncommon

that leaves points for grapple for almost everyone

not really important to think about meta and such when starting. just pick someone you think you might like (if you want you can also test characters in the training, just press h and select them) and then focus on learning the game basics. there are some good videos to start off pinned in the various channels. if you need some guidance eventually dont hesitate to ask, we got a lot of people that are more than willing to explain things 🙂 .

This is a good question; Lannie is mostly a combo character. U can do both things (blue and setup), but a combo is generally stronger. She has a lot of setups for potentially ToD combos hence she's knows as a combo character.

Id recommend starting out with throwing blues when the enemy is stunned and, once you got the hang of the game and learned some combos, you can try and see what you can do with them 👍

Lannie ult is a potent tool, but it's also hard to optimize since it interacts very differently with the enemy depending on multiple factors
