For many programs the additional IPC and clock of the 9800X3D isn't super relevant over the 7800X3D

@viscid kelp you got any idea about the reason for this phenomenon? my character just exit the running state on their own despite i'm still holding W the whole time, and most of the time this happen they also hold the weapon in a weird way
i also saw this happens on CN streamers gameplay so it's definitely not just me or my hardware issue

I would generally advise not to assume hardware issues right off the bat

like there isn't ANY transistion between the sprinting and slow run state, if i let go of my w key or i pressed jump crouch or dash or anything there would be an animation
but there isn't
I think this has to do with weapon sheathing (I don't mean switching to unarmed here) being a bit weird
Often times your character can appear as though they're not holding their weapon despite the game considering them in a state of holding their weapon
You can see this sort of thing happening to you always comes in tandem with your character performing a sheathing animation despite their weapon already being sheathed
This can look really funny, for example sometimes you will just A-pose with dualies in your hands cuz the game forgot you're actually holding a weapon

The most reasonable thing to assume imo is that the game considers you in a specific state before sheathing your weapon, and that some actions can effectively cancel that state and others can't
Generally I slide-hop a lot
So maybe that's one general way to avoid it
That was a rather long hop but realistically that hypothetical remedy is out the window too
Maybe attacking instead of just focus dashing helps, it's p optimal on many weapons too

And their position only got updated when the server validated their wakeup roll input and sent the information to your client that "well akshually they're all the way over in that snow pit"

On the server's end that Kylin likely didn't perform any suspicious movement, and that's most likely what the devs would look at

Depends on the context probably
Like if you've got a corresponding weapon for a golden jade or not
For instance I like the overcomer for the polesword because it's fun. But if I don't have space and I'm don't have a polesword I'll not take it
And some alter quick dashes with a +atk or def stat which probably aren't as useful for them

How is everyone feeling about the whipsword. It seems strong in trios, in my opinion.
Repair roll is gold but I see a lot of people pass over it for other jades as well. If it’s a gold ranged jade I see a lot of people ignore those as they either don’t have the ranged weapon or don’t care to play ranged much.
(Meteor, Deto rounds, armor pierce, burst arrow)
Imo they are just very niche, ranged has never really been a focus in naraka, most people switch to ranged for chip damage or to finish a kill
Now that you’ve mentioned it I don’t think I’ve seen a burst arrow jade in awhile
Yeah the most common ranged jades I see people actually bother to keep is Meteor in trios or Armor Pierce for musket enjoyers
I gotta say though hitting a headshot with max ATK and Jug with gold musket with AP and just exploding someone’s health.

So, for combos you have ult and f2 generally. Depending on which one you play there are different possibilities
F2 and v1 reset combo meter on hit, meaning you can just restart a combo from 0 . V2 (pokeball) is a bit more tricky in some ways
Does anyone know how to focus combo in air... Like when u are falling how to get rmb to focus and not do slam... I thought it was hold dodge rmb but apparently not

As Tabbie said, when u dash in the air, you can initiate a focus charge by holding attack nearly simultaneously as the dash input👍
Dashing can be done after an attack in the air usually, or a swap
(important to notice, each weapon has different timings, slightly different, but noticeable. This is true if you try to initiate a dash after a scale rush)

the "swap" combo with dual halberds katana is vertical with dh crouch horizontal with katana ?
Somewhat better to save stamina but terrain depended and has more room for error
But for Tarka, in the end of the day if they are dead after your combo then it is what it is

You can do dash -> fist -> horizontal -> uppercut when you are in Tarka's V
However if you struggle with neutral, I suggest you focus on that more than combo

Hello, how can I consistently jump then switch weapon to hold blue mid air more consistently? Every time I do it, it always input a light attach instead even tho I held LMB
Don't let go of the mouse button. If it does a light attack you are either slow on your inputs (most likely the case), or you click instead of holding.
That tech requires precision, as most things in naraka, hence the need for a lot of practice

can someone please rate my gameplay? its really hard for me to get an opinion because i only played the game for 8 weeks or so. i dont know that much

tbh, the only one that say something about your in match gameplay is the second clip, in which I notice that you and your teammate are being seperated pretty far and that would be a really big problem later on. Outside of that the first and fourth clip are just standard 1v1 gameplay, you did some good catch against people tap dodging, you done well while being pressure, not just pressing button out of panic, however I noticed you release a lot of 1.0, with Heng feint attack it is no problem but with a lot of other weapon that can be called out.
While you have learned advanced techs, I noticed right away that you still lack game sense in some areas such as gaining priority in a 1v1. I noticed a pattern that you often rushed to hit first, giving the opponent a chance to gain priority. Tbf, game sense comes with experience, so I would recommend you grind rank until you find it impossible to win a match then you’ll learn something new, and brush up on your team work skill. Also, you could practice dodging in a less predictable way. As you rank up, you’ll come to realize that dodging a hit is often better than countering it
oh yeah many people told me i should be dodging more, well it feels quite hard i played only a bit so yeah

Guys, I need help with neutral. When you’re high rank, it’s significantly harder to parry bait so you’ll be more reliant on dodging but my fps is 50-80 so I just guess.
People releases blue way too much, and it’s becoming hard to predict when they’ll do it. No one release 1.0 anymore and my reaction time isn’t that good. I can’t parry to save my life, so is there a way to get past this roadblock?
Try to control the pace of the fight and slow it down. Use spacing to not be forced into awkward situations like that, and beat your oponent to the chase by holding blue before them.
If you are getting caught on your dodges make sure you are tap dodging when appropriate and hold dodging when you need a faster dodge. Don't cut your dodges early by pre inputting an attack during them, let the full dodge play out otherwise you will get rubberbanded more often. If you can dodge a focus attack, depending on the attack, you can usually go in to punish with either a parry or light attack
if u are 50-80 fps its just gg, its completely unplayable
In this case, how can I become more aggressive? I started spacing more to not be forced into a focus battle, but often they’d run away or it becomes a waiting game of who’ll chase first…
Use ranged if they are keeping their distance. Bait people into attacking and then punish them by either focus armoring through the hit or hold dodging, then attack during their recovery frames.

For combos, don’t press any direction keys when you hold LMB. A slight blue then gain priority. Second tip would just be to dodge their first hit if they release blue then punish or just bait them into parrying by holding blue longer

Set your grapple mode to switch, release the grapple the moment your uppercut connects, you can click q after inputting uppercut then click just as your weapon hits the enemy. It cancels the uppercut animation and then immediately charge a focus

You dont need sheath for basic 211
Sheath makes it easier, however, there’s another mapping technique u could do on controller
It requires emote slot or gesture slot, I’m not sure
is this dual blades combo a 0.9?
i've been trying for days and somehow the practice bot always dodges, sometimes he gets hit by tail end of it. but i've never been able to hit the bot with the whole focus attack
the bots have perfect dodges from what i know , they can get out of that immediately ... but for general players , the 0.9 can be gone better at the corners of the structure , as its hidden , and you can capitalize on the damage

technically speaking there isn't anything called a ''0.9 blue'', a blue is always a 1.0 at its fastest (you hold and you reached 1st stage then you release, not 0.anything, since a ''0.9'' itself means EARLIER than 1st stage, which will results in a light attack, not a blue attack), using the term ''0.9 blue'' could causes unecessary confusion
db vertical blue after grapple got some hitbox/direction issue which you could fix by holding A/D when release
when i don't hold A or D it still hits but it knocks target to other direction instead of infront of me
when i hold A it knocks target straight forward
if you can't hit the whole blue attack it's either ur inputs are wrong/ur fps is too low/ur ping is too high

The main trick is to hold W during the uppercut motion. It allows you to both lose collision with the airborne target and move in front of them so the aerial horizontal doesn't send them too far from you
But in my experience you also want to do some light camera manipulation while holding W, in particular move your camera to the right for the second hit of the first aerial horizontal
Alternatively just use a grapple bump to have a much easier life

In the clip, right after the standard ACCA -> uppercut, Takao used grapple -> uppercut to bump the enemy and then knock them up into the air, afterward he using W + air Horizontal to chain the air attack one after another
However this combo is terrain depended if you want to extend it, going down the slop and you can extend it as long as the slop allow, going up and the combo end prematurely after one or two air horizontal. At the same time it is somewhat FPS + ping depended for how many air Horizontal you can chain after the grapple -> uppercut.
Timing also somewhat hard to learn if you haven't used to this game combo

There is not a single combo that can extended pass 3rd hit as far as I know, that's the reason why combo usually go into uppercut right after second hit, if you got stuck while grounded, either you have a ping problem and got rubberbanded or you too panic and got catch

Alright, let me make it more clear, to catch someone else in my previous sentence is to read that your opponent is about to dodge, so you actively doing a running attack to catch the while they are stuck in the dodging animation
They might have catch you panicking attemping to flee and catch you right there.
But since you said you got grounded for a long time, and they still combo you, I doubt they are intentionally giving up the advantage just to do some humiliation. Might just be a bot detected you have bad internet and decided to abuse that
However I would glad to know what your opponent did. If you can, I hope you can provided a clip to see where the issue lies

Oof, there are a lot of things you need to learn then
First of all, you rolling way too much, wasting your stamina without efficiently disengage. Second, you put yourself in a vulnerable situation where you guarantee getting hit (doing vertical air attack, trying to doing non focus attacks against blue focus state). Third, please try the specialized training if you haven't, you should probably know how to use counter to stop blue focus if you did the tutorial.

First, I can see you still don't know character's abilities, like Misty pointed out, you can do a shield throw after block with Shayol V by pressing V again. Second, to many repeating mistake in one fight, on the last clip and second clip, you keep on doing easy to parry blue focus and repeating them, you keep grapple enemies while you are not that far away from the enemies, making yourself vulnerable. Third, on the last clip, I noticed you dash right after each clash, you keep on attacking while your opponent is either too far to reach or in a focus state, both making your attacks not effective and ultimately making you lose a lot of fight.

Main problem - is your uppercut+grapple. Also I suggest to try hengsword first, then try katana. IMO - heng is easier (animation). But anyways you need to practice on your upper+grapple timing.

but yeah that slide actually bounces the enemy body a bit higher than normal uppercut but it's not that big of a difference

A lot of thing you need to fix:
- I can see you attemp to do ACCA (Attack-crouch-crouch cancel-attack), however you did ACA(Attack-crouch-attack), this means your uppercut will not be true. I recommending you sticking with using dodge to reset to the first attack.
- You grapple too late, if the grapple timing is right, your character shouldn't leave the ground. You can buffer the grapple before the uppercut connect, you just have to learn the window in which you can buffer the grapple.
- While grappling, it is recommended to holding A or D while looking directly at your target, if not, you are like to do a roll, this means your blue focus will be delayed.

It’s just sheathing, dodging and a sliding uppercut. But the timing is very weird 
I'm too mechanically washed these days to do it repeatedly, but ig this might help with the idea input wise
It is just uppercut -> sheathe -> hold dodge -> swap -> slide uppercut
But the swap can't be done too early, as it otherwise cancels your hold dodge and causes your momentum to be reset, which means you can't slide (uppercut) anymore
You also can't slide too early, since you'll slam into the ground otherwise

It’s extremely situational, but more often you practice the muscle memory to switch. This is useful because in a tech chase, it’s faster to do a RMB dash to catch your opponent, but since you can’t get a combo start off RMB, you switch to katana to perform it.
Other reason is just it’s easier when you get the hang of it. You don’t have to use your brain much, and instead of worrying about not being to start a combo, you can just hit RMB and switch
Works with katana too. You can rmb katana by accident, then switch to dual to combo start

It’s easier than it seems tho
1st reason is db vertical animation is fast and got long reach, it's excellent at catching your opponent, so you use db vertical to catch then crouch swap to katana then horizontal into uppercut for combo
and 2nd is previously there is a way to guarantee hitting the vertical blue follow up after db charged vertical, so db grapple does alot of damages, so ppl swap back to db after grapple to do a blue + follow up, it was fixed though, now u can't hit that follow up anymore
but the db v for catching + c swap to katana to combo is still effective and ppl got used to it for a long time so it's still a bread and butter combo for them
just remember: db v for catching then once u catched u opponent swap to kata for combo start
I'd also add to that that katanas' vertical strikes track way more than you'd expect, so when you chase after a fleeing opponent then attack, then dodge/run after them again, it can catch them in the back ffrom a ridiculously high distance, I'd say about as far as a charged staff jab

Can someone ELI5 what just happened? I know obviously that dagger and fan attacks can be charged crouching/sliding, but here's what killed me this time: enemy Tessa grappled onto me from miles away (OK, normal), then IMMEDIATELY as soon as her attack/grapple strike connected, I was in the hugging animation of Pride's Fall and got slammed to the ground, all armor gone, 60% HP gone.
How could one charge the attack while grappling? What did I miss? Is there a method to that?

Quite easy actually. You grapple then jump to cancel. After canceling, you do a light attack then dodge into a hold blue mid air

Could very well be! I've almost never used it since I'm bad at its mechanic LOL but the animation matches; it was so swift and in an obscured place (mountainside and bushes) I only saw my character being hugged and slammed to the ground LOL

- Jump the opponent with lower health

Fan can't really combo. Uppercut- grapple - focus, or u can start it with a scale rush is about it. There is also light- crough light - light, but this doesn't work against high fps low ms players
Soulshatter is needed for the uppercut grapple combo xD
fan can combo from the wind dash if sufficiently close
that's why some chinese players go incredibly close to their enemy despite being on fan
that and they don't want to get max range parried

Not dodging backwards on the 211 would probably fix it
There isn't really a need to input a directional for 211 to begin with, unless you consciously wanna manipulate your position

it's recommended to learn katana first
it teaches you concepts for most other weapons
i mean you can play whatever you like, but i don't think spear and staff are particularly great weapons for learning the game
katana is the prime learning weapon
and dual blade is somewhat similar to katana in terms of moveset
it's like a more limited katana
with better catches
You eventually want to learn all weapons to an extent. Heaven is recommending katana as a new p player because it doesn't have any unique mechanics that you can crutch on, so transitioning to other weapons will come easier. But it is good to learn what makes each weapon strong in its own way too

Not always, sometimes you have time to dodge the wave. Btw that parried wave can be parried by someone else and if someone else parries that it can be vollied back and forth infinitely, it's pretty funny to see. Not very practical tho
Blue focus that send out a projectile attack (longsword non jade blue focus, fan's wild windspout...), if you are close enough, the parry will just send you into stagger animation and disarm you. But if you are a little far away from them, parry will send back the projectile, this will stagger you long enough for them to do the counter attack without disarm you.
However some blue focus that look like it send out a projectile but use the weapon AS the projectile, parry at any range will result in a disarm (examples fan non jade blue focus, universal slash for dual blades...)
did they change anything with the longsword grapple combo? I'm coming back to the game and it is IMPOSSIBLE to hit on the combo disengage dummy in training.
What is the difference between weapon rarities? Like I assume it's just higher rarities do more damage but how impactful is it? Like is it worth going for a weapon of lower rarity if it's a weapon im more comfortable with and like more as opposed to a higher rarity weapon that im not as good with and dont like as much?
If you are using the white weapon as base damage (100%) each tier up increase by 20% (blue 120%, purple 140%, gold 160%, only red is around 168%, if Im not wrong, because else it is busted). This affect not only the weapon damage but also the abilities damage while you are holding it. Transformers also use the currently equip weapon for their transformer damage calculator.
As for if you should use a lower tier weapon if you are more comfortable with it, yeah sure why not. If you have a gold weapon without knowing how to use it, it might not be yours for long. Use what you are comfortable with, but I recommending learning every weapon or at least get familiar with more than one weapon so you don't have to go looking for one just to fight.
When u practice combos have the bot with disengage off.
They did change ls combos a while ago, they removed the regular infinite, so you can pretty much just get 2 uppercut into grapples by normal means now before your opponent drops quickly
As Vang said, its better to stick with what you know and keep the highest tier for skills/ults, but always atleast give other weapons a try (helps alot when you don't have a choice).
There are spirit wells and morus chests that have a shard to upgrade weapons to purple. So if you have the choice between a higher tier weapon you don't know and a low tier weapon that you're comfortable, you can plan to make a stop
oh Man I see. yeah I remember being able to hit the bump almost every time. I did more research and saw that LS has the longest .90 hold so it makes sense why my bum ass cant hit it consistently. I just assumed all the bump combos were the same cause the katana combo was really easy for me. TY for the info.
An honest question to y'all: what do you think about the skill/souljade Merciless Havoc? Is it balanced or too OP? I, for one, am torn, because while the fist attack can be parried, since you don't have to hit the target (say, like with Dragon Roar), I'd say the fact that you don't have to put yourself in danger due to parry it feels cheap
Utility 10/10, damage modifier 10/10, no issues there, it's just that even in Formless rank, people stab the air then mop the floor with your team because you cannot parry what isn't at first aimed at you
I don't mind OP souljades like Aurora Burst, Soul Slash, etc., but they feel balanced because you have to be in parry range to pull them off

If you are in range, yes. Issue is, it has such a long range and is controlled by your camera and not where your character is facing that you can stand 10 meters (guess, I don't know the numbers) away from your enemy, turn away from them, stab the air there, then 180 with camera and unleash the skill
you stand well outside parry range, stab at the opposite direction of your enemy, then turn, click again and BAM instant golden focus attack in the enemy's face
i mean its one of the most OP jades in game
u can also turn it around
to guarantee it doesnt get parried
feels cheap that someone wipes our partzy while being away lol
honestly that's the only one I have ever had issues with in my 1300+ hours of play time
all the jades that instantly do blue attack without charging like sky punch, aerial dash, engraving etc
even Dreadful Wail is better, again, due to parry range

You are supposed to click dash when you are at the very top in the sky kind of thing
On ls/whip this is approximately the timing for that, when you get the highest "wind hit"
Jump RMB -> Tap dodge -> Jump RMB repeat (You can do it rlly fast with high fps max is 3 plunges per max stamina)
I watched Chinese guys clicking weapon repair somewhere in the middle when doing that and they seem to be hitting faster than when I tried it myself without it, basically as you described. What do you think?

To cancel the hit animation with dash cause it hits fast anyway

Jump RMB -> Dash -> Repair -> Jump RMB (Trick is don’t do it too fast, otherwise you won’t jump but hit a light instead) - Excuse the quality, I’m so washed nowadays

Several things:
- Do RMB into vertical instead of LMB
- When you’re in air, wait a bit then dodge back and once you do, scroll wheel switch really fast
rmb uppercut dodge then switch weapon?
rmb uppercut sheathe dodge and cancel the dodge animation with scroll

can hold rmb the whole time
For heng u can LMB
to check which attack is a combo starter play with bot disengage off combat mode on
you have to cancel your dodge animation with the weapon swap
as soon as you see your character sheathe the weapon dodge and scroll (up or down depending on wich weapon you want to attack with)
in the part where you 1 2 jump RMB how did you got enough height to hit the 2 i cant never do that the bot just drop on the ground after 1 [ms 40 - 30 FPS 120 lock ]

Could someone explain how to do grapple into uppercut with longsword?
Even 211 didn't cause such difficulty.
I tried uppercut cancel animation with grapple , but
- Bot fell on ground before uppercut animation
2)I made just RMB although I press crouch.

You do: RMB -> crouch Vertical -> Grapple cancel -> (Right after you bump into the enemy) -> crouch vertical
Don’t press any directional inputs
otherwise you will roll
Also you need to crouch vertical immediately after bumping the bot otherwise the bot will fall down

i buffer the focus right after I cast the grapple
Adjust ur grapple placement. Land it a bit closer to the circle. Also, make sure to hold down right click the entire combo. Tho keep in mind that bot has 0ms, they can avoid hits that would otherwise connect with real players

It does look that way in the video. LS works a bit differently. Try adjusting ur grapple to see if it helps

Grapple the character instead, a far higher chance of hitting. Also, you're on 70 ms, there's absolutely no chance you can hit a bot with that ping.

What do you mean by sustained counters? If u don't know, once u parry a focus attack you can wait and it will keep you in that gold focus and you will continue to parry additional focus attacks if they hit you in that window until either you do the reposte (lmb) or cancel out of the animation.
Parry timing needs to be precise. But once you get that first parry it gives you a big window that you stay in gold focus to continuously parry. Is that what u were asking about?
I've always used composite parry, it works the exact same as quick parry. It's just what I'm used to. Idk who lied to you

70 is not too high to do basic grapple combos. You can do them even over 100 ms but the timing is different and it's not always consistent.
Target grapple will fails at like 55-60ms ping threshold though, but ground grapple is completely doable even on 100ms, as long as you got a good enough amount of fps
Grapple a little bit sooner and place it a bit closer to yourself, also hold focus sooner
If you aren't already, use input buffering to make the timing easier. You can input a movement + attack near the end of your current animation and it will be performed immediately. So your crouch + vertical can be input at the end of your vertical animation, then pull out your grapple immediately and fire it as soon as your uppercut connects, hold a or d and vertical focus once your grapple bump hits
Set your grapple to switch so that u click q at the start of your uppercut and lmb or rmb once it connects to fire it immediately
Composite parry is in fact faster than quick parry. Using both is better, but all miles down to preference
This is how it was over a year ago. They now function almost the same, except quick parry can be useful to cancel some animations quickly in a consistent way
like I said I buffer focus as soon as i launch the grapple
but ill try buffering the grapple too ty
and yes u can hit it on 70 ping 200fps ive done it before on the bot
just only 2 or 3 times within about an hour of attempts
i dont get why its so inconsistent 😭
