quick dash is exclusive to fan and dagger yes, which is a dodge after an attack

• even if you tap it it will still be a hold dodge
• if you keep holding the directional key after the dodge, it's still a hold dodge

so let's say you want to stand on the spot holding blue after a quick dash, you need to delay the blue hold input, or crouch before holding blue

Mid dodge is useful for combos, it is faster than a regular hold dodge, or at least makes certain combos true, such as toothpick with katana/dual weapons, or the uppercut after dagger hold rmb

you use mid dodge to dodge enemy's attack and get to their back, and since it's short the amount of recovery time is also shorter so you're able to light attack them sooner, before they get out of their attack recovery frames
the fan thing you mentioned would be a hold dodge, dodge parry always is a hold dodge cuz it doesn't have recovery frames

the focus dash is one of the core mechanics for movement

that's how you move around pretty much

Safest way would be to use a combo breaker (you have to check if your character's skill can be used under attack)

Maybe consider using the stamina glyph since it allows you to get more rolls without consuming much stamina. It can help a lot

The hall of fame location feature is currently disabled. And if ur referring to gear up booster, it is more helpful for people without stable connections or that are far from a server. It won't do much to help someone with already semi decent ping

You will have a hard time playing if your fps isn't high. It is still playable, but your actions and animations won't feel as smooth or even perform as quickly as they should otherwise.

I'm not sure how well it runs on steam deck tho, that is just in general

Make sure you understand the difference between tapping and holding dodge. Tapping the dodge button will actually give you iframes and let you evade attacks, holding the dodge button puts you into a sprint and is good for repositioning or chaining actions, such as the focus dash, but won't provide much for dodging attacks unless perfectly timed and spaced

To import a face using a QR code go to your character in-game -> then select Customization-> then click on a Face, and choose Edit -> Click Import and scan the QR code that appears on the screen -> Use the link provided to upload your image -> then click Import Face to Game. You should parry practice first on different timings like 1.0 and 2.0 on each weapon, perhaps have a person release on you everytime and then mix it up to see if you can really parry. Then you could learn what jump parry is and try to implement it. After it you should learn the basic combos since neutral won't help you if you don't know any combos because neutral is important to be able to USE the combo, on the other hand if you do know combos but don't have neutral then that is hard for you to even do the combo so you need to learn both to make use of it. Since you're still plat you should focus on putting more time into playing the game and get the rythymn but if you feel like practicing then practice parries, dodges, movement and basic beginner combos

It tells your right there, your steam inventory is full so you have to just get rid of stuff. Things like cards or misc items don't count but if you play games like Dota or TF the items from there take up inventory space. You can also just wait until after maint is done to try to buy it because it may also be giving you that in error if you aren't full.

Im pretty new, I'd like to continue going all ranged but the harder opponents i fight the less viable it seems. You seem to be missing out on so much movement tech and weapon focus stuff.

Naraka is a melee game so yea it’s troll to go full ranged. You won’t be able to move quickly or scale rush off anything, and you’ll be grapple stunned into oblivion if you only ever hold a ranged weapon.

That being said range can and is strong, just have to work on your aim and you can even learn melee combos that convert into ranged headshots

primary combat will always be melee

dont get me wrong it is a good option, you can really add tons of damage for your teammates by staying back and shooting, but you can't rely on that always

you should always be ready and confident in your melee
