same(ish) thing has happened to me since update, game is broken and unplayable... If you find a fix lmk, Ive tried every fix I can think of, plus Support has given me three different ideas to fix and so far nothings worked.

i fast forwarded 01-09 sec bc it takes forever to load in lol, but otherwise this is my problem im dealing with. Showed the initial load in to display the system metrics(top right corner) of before and after loading in. Ping before update was 70-80s, and fps should be 200+ in most places.

(also yes my drivers are up to date and all other online and offline games have normal ping/fps, just naraka is broken since update)

This isn't true. There are extreme nuetral advantages in higher fps compared to lower ones. It's not apparent to normal players, but if you play vs high lv players with crazy hardware often, you can see it pretty clearly. Priority in some blues(2 players release blues at the same time visually, or a slap, but the high fps players blue takes prio), faster recovery time, dodging out of soft combos that work on 99% of the playerbase, even some true combos(an example is akos f out of h, ch) faster dodges, in extreme cases double parries. Yes a good player on 60 fps will always win vs a bad player on 400 fps, but the problem isn't good player vs bad player, it's good player vs good player. How can you judge who's nuetral is better when the other player has so many advantages? These may be little advantages to players who aren't good, but when you know all the tech and are on that lv of play, the gaps in skill becomes very minute, and the hardware advantages become visually apparent. I can tell who has good hardware or not after 2 seconds of any engagement, and what I can do becomes very limited, while what they can do only increases.

Now once we get into 60-100 territory I think focus armoring is alr bad, but the differences diminish, however desync induced oddities in interactions and parries get noticably worse

Sometimes you also have to credit the game itself for actually having sensible micro interactions
For example if a spear user releases lmb focus at the same time as a katana user releases lmb focus, it's actually normal the spear user gets overwritten

Spear focus attacks are molasses slow while katana is essentially instant

There is no clank because the speed difference doesn't allow the focus hitboxes to intersect before the spear user gets hit

This might look weird, but is a weapon property interaction

This is sort of what I mean by it's hard to explain how odd looking/feeling interactions can either be normal, ping induced or fps induced

Well, things like that are p hard to confirm unless you have the two setups next to each other and press rmb at the exact same time

There's a few things that can make someone seem faster than others, even at the same framerate
For example, not every hold dodge has the same length. Spear/staff hold dodge are extremely long, while nunchuck hold dodge is extremely short. Their speed is the same, but the duration changes. If you do focus hold->hold dodge->focus hold, inputting the second focus hold too quickly will cause it too activate with a delay. To re-enter focus hold state asap after a hold dodge, you need to perfectly time the focus hold input, and the timing differs for each weapon
The better the player, the better their timing on this

Sure, and I'm aware of those timings(at least by feel, not by exact). However no one at my framerate is the level of speed I'm referring to. I can confidently engage in any fight and get a pretty accurate guess on a persons fps, it comes with playing at lower fps against higher players consistently. They aren't dodging special, I'm aware of the unique animations and the interactions with other weapons. It won't just be a dodge, it'll be pretty much everything. And then I have to play differently.

Also there is the clear micro teleporting these higher fps players will sometimes do.

Although I do agree with the setups, maybe the guy is always doing it slightly earlier then he said he was? We used a clear verbal que, both charged up to what looked to be the same time, and he would just hit.

Crossplay is disabled by default. There is a setting called "auto fill with bots" or something like that only available to console players(Or gamepass players since this is treated as console even if you are PC). This essentially means that after like 3 mins or so ranked will just always pop. This means most of the time you won't get in steam lobbies, it's why the leaderboards for xbox are so jank.

It's a common complaint that Xbox Gamepass players get put in the same leaderboards as console, since they aren't actually console players, mainly because those leaderboards are filled with people who just fight bots all day.

The scores are insanely high because of this, with people who's general skill level are usually really low. Gives a false sense of what the games actually like.

Which once again, falls on Naraka, because this setting shouldn't exist at all, and should just be crossplay turn off and on. Idm console players wanting to only play vs other console players, but the fill bots to make the lobbies extremely easy mode, literally a bot mode. Makes it so console players don't actually have to learn anything to win, which overall affects the skill level of people who use that setting in an extremely negative way. And most people aren't even aware the setting exists.

I get why it's there, because of the player count, but there's gotta be a better way than actively stunting the growth of a large portion of the playerbase.

Like at least if console had the same style of lobbies as steam, without just joining the steam lobbies, so they mostly played with the same amount of console players they would get better through playing vs each other allot. And they wouldn't have to deal with the hardware differences but alas that's not how it is.

Def good to check to make sure. I don't think it turns it off, just moreso creates extra lobbies if they can't throw you in one that mostly have bots, kinda like our bronze lobbies. Idk if there needs to be a default amount of players other than yourself though, if there does that might be why the wait times. If not that probably means you have it on.

any external software that does that, essentially macros, could get autodetected by the anticheat as a false positive

some games have a policy where you can use a macro if it's just to rebind one key, where you're only in trouble for using 1 key press for more than 1 action, but some games just forbid it altogether
