Because as a beginner your perception is completely skewed and even though that's how you experienced it, if we just hear your explanation, it's hard to tell you what actually happened

but just based off what you said, it just sounds like he used his dodges properly, you can't hit someone when they dodge properly because during a dodge you are unhittable by attacks, and the invisibility part isjust shadow step

and you can focus dash at people, it's a type of movement

as for not being able to run away, running away is a skill of its own in this game and it takes lots of feedback, experience and practice to get good at it

if they're still somewhere in your vision but you for some reason can't see where they are, you can spam the lock on button while panning your camera around

but if they broke line of sight, you're out of luck

and need to find them the hard way

this is why you might hear that movement is more important than actual fair combat in this game

if you utilize movement, you can put the enemy in a position where he won't get the chance to fight you fairly and turn it into a battle of movement and tracking

Read that Rust has or had an undisclosed fps cap as well that you could lift with a command line argument

From my understanding the issue arises due to how Unity handles time keeping

Though some aspects of how it affects the game, in Naraka's case, have actually been improved
For example, with low framerate, your Justina dash used to be extremely short, or your pillar scalerush didn't go nearly as high upwards

These were more pronounced in the past than they are now, so there seems to be methods to alleviate the issue, just not a single central fix

In customs I tend to have fairly high fps (if few people are there). On top of that I have very low ping

As for being soft combo broken during a full true combo, honestly doesn't really have to be fps, and it most likely wasn't. Sudden ping spike/packet loss will cause your stagger time to hit the bin, and your true combo might end up being untrue
There's also a stagger bug that can occur, and a tech to avoid a true combo after doing a wakeup roll

When I watch Dunking I see a lot of weird shit along those lines, cuz his net is flakey as all hell sometimes
When I watch Rex, there are occasional bugs, but the frequency has no comparison

A lot of things in this game, in my opinion, are more so netcode issues than anything
While it's mostly understood how netcode messes with rubberbanding and parries, smth that I think isn't really investigated much is desync

Free training bot actually cancels desync (though it still gets rubberbanded, which is a bit ? to me)

If you look at the fan animation, you see the hitbox activate at the same point within the animation each time
Roughly when the fan has travelled 50% of the distance when being thrown out, the hitbox activates along the entire trajectory it will take

And this is how it looks on 13ms vs 20ms

It's like half of this game behaves the way it does because attackers constantly have the equivalent of peeker's advantage

Just that in Naraka, it's attacker's advantage

At some point I want to ask low ping CN players to replicate these things and see if CN servers have lower base desync

Because I noticed the desync on fan focus didn't change a crazy amount with higher ping, but the base level is quite high

From what I've seen, free training bot is the closest thing to LAN that exists
Animations on attacking and receiving end align in the same way with their hitboxes, meaning he cancels desync. Also, you can parry without the red flash occurring, meaning he also disregards server sided validation. This is also the wombo combo that makes free training absolutely worthless for parry practice, other than practicing hold dodge parries
In real games, I believe bots are assigned to players, which is to say that a player's PC is responsible for "running" the bot, which also means that player's ping affects the bot. I've seen bots consistently orange bar. However, while bots in real games don't cancel desync like free training bot, meaning parries and the such have to go through server validation, they do have rollback, meaning you get robbed less than against players

The weird part is that while free training bot cancels server validation and desync, you can rubberband him, which to me makes no fucking sense at all

I have had to teach several players on how to uncap their fps. Like you can clearly tell whos in the 200+ ranges and who isn't when you are in combat with them by how fast they are, and they aren't many. I think you overestimate how many do by far, console is hard locked to 60 and they make up a large portion as well. Either way its literally pay to win in a drastic way, idk how anyone can realistically defend it.

Put a 60 fps player in Naraka side by side to a 300+ fps player and see how ridiculously unfair it is. Then do the same in any shooter, and see the minimal advantage it brings. There is no way to change it. You will need to create a new account. There isn't much difference, except you will have the NA tag on your name and you can only join justice chambers in NA. You also will only receive some mail to the NA server

Hi, so I am not a PC expert but I am trying to figure out why I am getting inconsistent frame rates in some game siutations.
My current specs (please let me know if there is any other component crucial to the game performance): 12700KF & 3070 ti && DDR4.
I am also using a 2 monitor setup with an ultrawide 34" (3440 x 1440) as my primary monitor.
My fps in some games modes:

• Training 100 - 180 fps
• Ranked/QM games: 100 - 120 fps
• Ranked/QM games when in a fight (3+ enemies) : 40 - 70 fps.

The fps fluctutates a lot and it sometimes drives me crazy. Is there a possibility to make any optimizations that could balance the fps out.

What would be the ideal specs to have to run this game with stable high fps? If its a component that I can replace I would not mind that but if its everything then I guess I have to live with what I currently have.

Naraka is heavy on the CPU and if you're on lower settings, it becomes even more apparent

When you're in training, the CPU doesn't have to do much, hence it's about as much fps as you get in the game
The more players and entities there are (more stuff is going on), the lower your FPS gets

12700kf is roughly 20% slower (on average) than the best gaming CPU on the market currently, and you'd have to charge your whole motherboard and RAM, that can be roughly 650€

However, I have a 12700, but my fps doesn't go this low during fights. This might help a little bit, but not guaranteed
Try updating your chipset and your BIOS, as well as your graphics drivers.

Ingame you can try switching between DX11 and DX12, certain PC configurations perform better on one or the other

There is only so much one can do to help performance if the parts are working correctly
