I got a decent amount of "hate" from Removed Morgana but I don't let it get to me since it's mainly like a joke mod
stupidity aside
i totally relate to the urge to make ones niche-ass fic "good" as that labor is part of the fun to me but yeah, i dont think "how do i integrate her good" is gonna be a useful question to field here

I never understood people upset by mods - they're optional! In terms of replacing, Violet, she exists in ~188 EVTs, but that doesn't account for things that happen in the overworld controlled by scripts.

Haru appears in ~338 EVTs
Overall in total or just overworld stuff aside from palaces

so for the most part, the EVTs will be anything that's a cutscene with the fast foward options
so that can be in a palace, a confidant event, a school event etc
That's a lot of EVTs
....
And Haru is somebody everyone is saying to replace for the most part
What EVT count do you think would be a good number to aim for?
Probably somewhere between Haru count and the large amount certain other party members get, if i had to guess....

I'd say to focus on making just a few good ones, because even if/when event-editing gets easier, it's still going to be a lot of work. Hundreds would be if you had, like, a full dedicated team working on this.
Unless you're thinking of just adding her to scenes in a relatively minor way, but even that is a non-trivial amount of work.
Pick a few that you find meaningful to start with, low-frequency high-impact etc., to just get the mod finished. Then you can think about whether it feels meaningful to pad it out.

Just for reference here's the breakdow of the EVT count where the character's ID is seen. This includes events that are unusued, duplicates, debugs, and potential variations due to bitflags/conditions, things like darts, billiards, jazz club (where you can different people attend based on randomness so everyone has an ID for that). Take it as a rough guide for the numbers (since weirdly the IDs for caroline and justine don't appear the same number of times!)

Certain specifics need to be ironed out before moving on to other areas

I already know that's biting off more than one can chew
If anything, i'm interested in seeing her in 3rd semester events
For the most part it's just adding her in and adding some dialogue to existing scenes to lengthen it
so i guess you'll need:
- Introduction scene - how does she meet the party/joker, and what reason does she have for knowing them/joker and keeping in contact.
- Confidant Introduction - Different to the above, why does she become a confidant and what's her arc (sounds like you have this)
- Context and background information for her either tied to a confidant arc, or to the plot, or both depending on your implementation
- If you want to do hangouts - what hangout events make sense at locations, what stats does she boost (if any) and how do they help/hinder confidant
- What is the climax of the confidant arc, and how does she remain interesting post it (don't wanna turn out like ann!)
6 Romance?? - Ending, saying goodbye at the game end
There is no way you can romance her. ๐
She'll be shocked, say she's flattered but tell him she likes somebody else, and that she wouldn't dare be so irresponsible as to date a minor (a student, nonetheless)

- Still don't quite have one for this, seeing as under normal circumstances they wouldn't meet
- Yeah, I already have an idea for that
- I imagine the topic of her past would be something she feels is too heavy for a teenager to listen to. I feel like pieces gradually being revealed would be smart. Saying that this happened to her but not going into full detail. something like 'this happened to me years ago.' 'are you okay?' 'Don't worry about it; happened years ago. I'm over it.'. And the biggest bombshell of her past (the grooming) could be revealed in Maruki's palace (likely via the tape)
- Hangout would be a good idea, give her more of a presence in game. I'd have to look at hangout locations and decide which places though
- The confidant itself isn't written in full, but I have a vague idea. I haven't pinned down something like an external conflict yet.

well, like I said, this mini model replacement mod was just made so that we can see how her model works in animations in game
So if there's any issues, we can spot them
Btw, I had to take down my ZMenu cuz 1.0.4 don't like it.

An example of two models Viola doesn't have is a game compatible version of the transformation model and the model of her in her everyday clothes with mask (another type of awakening model)

I use both, and I also use the console that someone releaed as well. Ive not updated to the new exe though, since Zmenu can run even during cutscenes, and I'm not willing to give that up (yet).

I completely understand biting off more then you can chew. That Okumura arc overhaul mod? Yea I didn't uh think about that one too well. Same with SMT Skill in Royal. Fucked up something in there and completely lost track of all smt skill listings so that mods basically done for.
