I would also like help with a spell that likely would use domain but I guess it's not mandatory.

I have:

• Adam's Ars Plus
• Ars Additions
• Ars Artifice
  And more but mainly trying to use those three for a spell

I want to create a curio of storing that triggers on damage via Anguish

On trigger, target method is Retaliate from Additions to target whoever last damaged me

And then I want to place them in a domain that'd prevent them from being able to move. But testing with a normal target method first, it's not working that well on mobs that can fly

What could I formulate domain-wise that'd actually hold enemies in place and/or also make them sink, but not lag the world/server? Been struggling to get anything working with Limitless

I mean I've been able to use it just fine thus far. My issue has moreso been with trying to get a useful domain even with normal triggers. For example right now one of the things my anguish-retaliate curio does is place a decoy and get them away from me. I haven't ran into any glitches with artifice

limitless isnt an effect more so as a momentary thing

so domain limitless will just apply it like every second or so

making it stop motion rather than immobilization

accelerate could possibly make it more binding

be careful with augmenting limitless though

certain combinations can freeze mobs, send them to the void, and just overall crash your game

i hate that it isnt able to be applied to the player as an effect, if it was you could have it constantly applied and block all projectiles

accelerating the domain if i remember correctly heightens the speed at which a spell is applied

so if limitless when applied stops someone, making the domain apply it faster can maybe mimic full stopping

Requires 12 slots although you can just remove Shadow Veil to keep it in base limits

I'm following tutorials and spell recipes, but whenever I see a spell that does 5000k damage, I try to replicate it but mine does 40, I follow the same equipment, I'm atm 10 playing with my friends. While they do 300 damage with swords, my spells do 40, can you help me?

What are I-Frames?

I-Frames or Immunity Frames, are durations where a player is invulnerable to damage. Ways to bypass these immunity frames are referred to as I-Frame Skips.

In the base mod, there are no I-Frame skips available. In 1.21.1, Ars Elemental adds a glyph called Nullify Defense that will reset an entities I-Frames. In older versions there are other I-Frame skips available.

So in previous tests, snare worked but only for non-flying mobs, flying mobs seemed immune. But rn testing in creative with your specific formulation you said, seems to not work even for landlocked mobs?

Tested it again like this (in a single player creative world to test), I removed the Extend Time 3 on the Domain cuz I don't want it long to test, replaced it with Accelerate 3 so it applies more frequently I think is how it works? And also an open barrier. I removed the atrophy because I don't care about debuffing their damage just stopping their movement. I don't have whatever adds Shadow Veil yet but I don't care about griefing other players anyways so that's ok

I'm more concerned about being able to stop enemies including floating ones, hence me testing on blaze. I also don't necessarily want every enemy dead either The problem is moreso I'm testing on blazes and can't get them to stop

So attempting something simple like this on a Bee without any domains added to the mix yet, this causes bees to sink to the ground, but they can still move just very slowly. Land enemies can't move during this but Bees can.

A domain will break the shell of one with less amps. If a domain has a significant portion of its domain shell destroyed it’ll fail. So you need more amps and it has to have the shell of the other domain within a significant amount of its area.

You make the “Eye of _” for each element and then just use them like eye of Enders. Follow them to a structure and then augment the mage summoning ritual with the Eye inside of the structure. The boss it summons will drop the soul of that element.

Yeah, throw some accelerates on there. Swap target makes the target become the “caster” so instead of you opening the craft window they do. If you do it fast then they can’t do anything since they’re stuck in the window

Have you guys tried using a planeterium as a domain?

I am using it currently to be able to edit the design of the domain and add art on it

And have spell turrets shooting through

Send them through using blink

Maybe combine domain glyph with blink to send everyone to your dimension

Hence bigger on the inside than outside

To avoid getting shot by turrets i try to use light spell under me so that i can create a safe space while turrets have a filter dark

(i made up the terminology, but stage 1 mages are the first 3 needed for elemental soul, stage 2 are the 2 needed for true elemental soul)

if you have simple domain you probably also have domain, check what you can make with awakened elemental souls jei might just be acting weird
