Discord search is so hard to work with lol. I feel like it was something involving self blink to go forward a few blocks, but that with reset or something, after the spell brought the friend

hollow parrot
#

Oh

keen sail
#

Though I guess it probably used exchange to bring the friend along in the first place, which only grabs one arrow. And would still pull you away from whatever you're trying to hit with the cannon

#

I can't remember

hollow parrot
#

The new rewind

keen sail
#

I thought they'd tried rewind, but it didn't work how they wanted. I'll have to see if I can find that thread

hollow parrot
#

hmm

#

btw

#

Toss seems kinda broken

keen sail
#

It's next to useless for a player to cast. But so good for turrets

hollow parrot
#

I accidentaly casted cold_snaptoss without dampen and it just emptied my whole inventory

keen sail
#

With snap? Huh

#

Does snap mess with targeting context?

#

Interesting

hollow parrot
#

LOL

#

not even with 4 dampen

#

it still empties my inventory

keen sail
#

Extract will send a single item. But if snap is changing how targeting works, it'll probably be one per block

hollow parrot
#

This works

#

It's meant on an Enchanter's Eye with a warp scroll in the off-hand

hollow parrot
#

I started the construction, but I still need some sort of timer, since this time I can't measure the dispenser's inventory

#

I remember having an old design that worked with hoppers, but I'll have to dig it up tomorrow

keen sail
#

If you just need to turn off something when the dispenser is empty, use a display case

#

Set it to emit when >1 arrow

hollow parrot
#

Is that something from ars?

hollow parrot
#

Thank you so much

#

That was perfect

alpine ginkgo
#

oh damn

#

i actually did not realize this was a year old

#

anyways hi hello hi

#

whats the problems now anymore?

hollow parrot
#

Basically redstone logic and power

#

The previous machine (porcupine) deals damage in the thousands

#

This tho does about 20 dmg

#

And that's with 32 turrets, if I'm not mistaken

#

So I assume I'll have to do some clocking

alpine ginkgo
#

we have codenames now?? jeez

#

what did you change between the last one and this one?

hollow parrot
#

It just shoots in all directions

hollow parrot
#

The last one shoots in all directions, which is fine for a small horde, but terrible for anything that is more than 6 blocks away from the blast

#

So this one will be aimable in 8 directions, so cardinal directions + diagonals

hollow parrot
#

I made this design to double the frequency, but it somehow doesn't work

#

It appears that the observer clock runs at 6 game ticks per cycle

#

Or 3 redstone ticks

#

So it appears it can't be halved

#

hmm

#

A comparator clock runs at 8 game ticks

#

NOPE

#

not possible

hollow parrot
#

Well...

#

It almost perfectly worked

#

Until half of it exploded

#

Reason? No idea
I was waiting at the dummies for the arrows to arrive

hollow parrot
#

Well...

#

It blew up again, but due to some piston issues

hollow parrot
#

The new timing should prevent repeated "explosions"

hollow parrot
#

Again, it works but it only deals 100 dmg

#

I need to find a timer circuit that gives me an active signal for x period of time

slate drum
#

can you use tick shortener and then extend the result to the needed amounf?

hollow parrot
#

This machine requires a 1 tick pulse to the piston, which will make it output 0 until the droppers finish moving all of the items

hollow parrot
#

It works now

#

Tho that also means that it'll take far longer to load

#

Also, most of the charge gets sent to outer space because of the knockback
So it seems I'll have to add a small spell capacitor at the top of the tower

hollow parrot
#

Btw

#

When I finish this design

#

How should I share it?

gusty sun
hollow parrot
#

Ah world download I could do

#

Just expect a LOT of craters and exploded villages

arctic glen
#

enderference?

hollow parrot
#

Lol

#

A bit late tho

arctic glen
#

my bad

#

been really on and off with ars, havent played it in a while

frank minnow
#

This was the inspiration for this thread, initially.

lapis sapphire
#

i am aware, but i feel like the concept should be revisited

frank minnow
#

Oh hey I'm friends with one of the people who worked on this

frank minnow
#

I haven't actually watched the video yet

#

I'd try to convince m1ka to take a stab at the arrow cannon but she detests modded

hollow parrot
#

I could / should send you guys a video when I'm free

lapis sapphire
#

YOOOOO

#

@hollow parrot

hollow parrot
#

XD

#

Gonna watch later today

keen sail
#

With that breeze wireless redstone thing. Breeze in a jar fire a charge

#

When you power them....

#

Which insanely simplifies that teleporter circuit that was posted

keen sail
#

No need to do the piston thing to catch the charge. Can probably sync it so it's not constantly firing anything

gusty sun
#

isnt the whole point of the breeze thing to make a wireless redstone circuit?

#

how are you going to do that if you need to power the jar?

#

i also just dont know redstone that well, so if im missing something, please lmk

keen sail
#

The point of which is to route the explosions such that whem they explode, they give momentum to a cloud of arrows in roughly the right direction that the player is looking. Before warping them to the player to hit their target with relativistic arrows

#

It uses a player arrow to deflect a breeze charge in the direction the player is looking, regardless of where. They use it in the video to act as wireless redstone, which it is. But it can be so much more. It's not just wireless signals, it's wireless acquisition of player look vector based on how it deflects the breeze charge.

#

Which could be used to trigger explosions in the opposite direction to give arrow momentum in the direction the player is looking

hollow parrot
#

I had an idea but it's probably too laggy

#

Since we push a breeze charge, if we have a neirby wall we also get a push force in the opposite direction.

#

The idea was to save an ungodly amount of spell projectiles in a capacitor and time their release perfectly, so as to push them in the opposite direction of the charge and onto the "arrow acceleration platform"

alpine ginkgo
#

Do lazy chunks work with ars projectiles?

hollow parrot
#

Well yes

#

But what we are accelerating are stuck arrows

alpine ginkgo
#

Lazy chunks allow us to stack infinite spell projectiles

hollow parrot
#

And we have the spell capacitor for that

alpine ginkgo
#

Which, is technically temporary

hollow parrot
#

Oh

#

Yeah

alpine ginkgo
#

5 minutes, i think

#

So we can only store a charge for 5 minutes

hollow parrot
#

1 min I believe

alpine ginkgo
#

1?

hollow parrot
#

But it's more than enough to break my gaming Laptop

#

Oh, and also. We use portals to have multiple turrets cast all at once

keen sail
#

It's definitely an interesting thought for how to increase the power. Currently it just needs to be loaded to work. With lazy chunks, if it gets loaded then it can break. Could get a lot more power, but more finicky about the spells being loaded

hollow parrot
#

Like, receiving the input from the breeze charge and converting it to an offset in the explosion

hollow parrot
#

@eternal dragon This is the place

eternal dragon
#

OH

#

thats seems complicated and very nice

hollow parrot
#

And this is a showcase of the AOE

#

I guess I need to renew the video, as it isn't loading for me

lapis sapphire
#

Discord somehow sent me to the top so here ya go mobile users
