For an overall game perspective you want to keep it competitive, this way the owner of this game (37Games) can control how many players they are willing to give the rewards to by ranking the alliance, this way alliances feel FOMO and spend more just to stay at the top. 😉

Yes, that’s correct — “Build” has never been a personal quest.
It only appears as a shared quest, like Build 240. Personal quests are limited to training, research, and the omni ones.

So you didn’t miss anything — it simply isn’t part of the personal pool.

This showdown has been brutal in general for quest drops both our alliance quests and personal. I don't know what is happening but it is really not good. The only day I could line up with the same off ace day was speed ups. I have three accounts. Not once did I get any hero quest first day not in personal or alliance quests.

I literally had to ask if I could be r4 just so I could try to catch some quests while everyone is sleeping and even still not a single module quest has dropped after hours of refreshing

I haven't seen a module quest either, and I am a full time R4. I have seen a 110 transport quest though 🤣, and those are as rare as unicorns!
Showdown is a pain in the bum with not getting quests you're looking for though.

Hi I have to say the 500 diamond option is a waste of Diamonds. I have used it a couple of times and I still get back tasks I have already knocked back many times.

It's best to just wait the 10 minutes.
It would be better if it let you select a certain task once a day. You would at least get value for the diamonds.

Transports you can do between your alliance colleagues so they can grow too, if your alliance is selfish and doesn’t want to transport resources this is not the place to cry about it, sorry but it that’s my sincere opinion

Of course you can transport between yourselves but for each transport a tax is paid so if you start with a million wood by the time you send it it’s now only 700k . So after doing one of these tasks your alliance has paid out a lot of resources. Why do that when you can do other things? It’s not a matter of selfishness just economics.
Giving things to other players when they need them is a totally different matter.
These you time so they get them just when they need them not at the whim of random tasks.
So we’ll carry on deleting transport tasks doing others and indeed building up our players.

Hero frags, quiz, rss transfer from farm account, alliance coins, open proper crates, spend AP, get lairs... plenty of stuff a spender from 0 to 5$ per day can do, even for 170 points (that's quite decent amount), not only farming in 5 marches. If he play smart. Just avoid questions and ask your R5 reset quests often.

Arena is also a nice quest, alliance help (do heals in 1 troop batches and 100 helps are done easily)

And R4 can reset too, not only R5.

Then u need to organize them, give them tips on how to choose the right quests, etc. If they can't be organized and taught tho, don't waste your time on an uncooperative alliance. Join a busier more organized one that is top 10 or 20 at least. Finding the right alliance for you is amazing and makes the game so much more fun. Plus they'll be happy to have an active team player too!

There is a fixed number of challenges that you can complete. So when you were choosing a challenge make sure to read it carefully and make sure that you can really complete it. If you choose one that you end up not being able to complete you can cancel it. You won’t get points for the challenge if you cancel. and a cancel challenge still counts as one of your allotted challenges.
You can purchase one extra challenge for 1000 diamonds.
DO NOT choose the random mystery challenges. They can give you anything when you choose them and most likely you’ll get stuck with one that you cannot complete.
R5 and R4’s can clear off the board of unwanted challenges. So If you are looking for a challenge and the board is filled up with Random mystery challenges or simply ones that cannot be easily completed get in contact with leader ship so they can fix it. this event last many days. So don’t feel pressured into choosing challenges. Pick the ones that will be right for you.
Beware of the resource gathering challenges. Read them very carefully most cannot be easily completed. If you’re still wanting to try one. I suggest you choose what ever alliance resource building we have at the time. Most of you are gathering in the alliance gas building. Wait to accept this challenge until you were almost done gathering gas there. That way you have most of, if not all of the challenge done in one shot. (I wouldn’t choose the gas gathering challenge unless you were almost done gathering in the alliance resource building first)

Getting some hounded thousand points from Cube or Chip mats is only possible if you collect over weeks. Hero Frags same. 25 time Radio quest released on Saturday evening (CET) isn't possible if you want to sleep at least 8 Hours.

Nice, @dense gate. I took a risky approach this time around and did mostly 210 (too scared of 240 lol) mystery quests except 1 was a normal quest. It actually worked out quite well and didn't even have to spend anything to complete. Just thankful I always keep at least 600k coins in alliance shop to be able to complete that.

I just want to add for those worried about leaving for hub events, they're all correct, you'll get your rewards as long as you were in the alliance when the event began and back in when it ends, BUT if you are in the middle of doing a quest and leave your alliance, that quest will be failed when you return. So try not to be in the middle of a quest if you can help it when you leave your alliance.

May I suggest maybe doing a special thing for them such as transporting resources as a thank you, letting them choose which box they receive from donations this week (if you have the ability), or even seeing if the team will help them push for their next hq level if they are working on it?

What do you mean by that? Most tasks are self-explanatory like gathering, transporting, lairs, arena, radio, alliance help, healing. The „obtain material“ or „obtain heroes“ need more explanation as to what gives how many points, hence they have explanation built in.

Knowing how many points are associated with what items is helpful. Last time I was burned by a task called “raise might”. Training, building, researching had no effect.

Customer Service response to my complaint was to check the information button, even though I posted screenshots clearly showing the task had no information button.

Either click on their sanctuary on the map and choose transport resources, or go to your trading post and find their name there and click transport resources. U need to have the items u want to transfer out of ur bag to transport them tho. It won't transport what is not showing in the top bar of your screen even if u have the items in ur bag.

I feel like the answer will be no because in the gear/chip might up ones, u can't strip ur gear and add it back or unequip your chips then re-equip to get the points because those go by might history...so I am gonna guess that only what is above your top might history is going to count in that category as well.

I was burned by that stupid quest. CS even gave me false replies - check info (none supplied), build & train (nope, does nothing but waste rss & speedos). Earlier here someone said it involves raising might by upgrading gear, chips, modules, cubes. No idea whether that is correct, though. (Raise Might/hammer quest)

Raising building might is accomplished by finishing builds. If u click on a building that needs upgrading, u can see "+xxxx might" which tells u how much might u gain by doing that upgrade. Some building upgrades are worth a lot of might, others are practically nothing. So u really have to know that u not only have the speedups and rss u need to get the building might to accomplish it in the time allotted, but u also have to make sure u have buildings that are going to offer u a lot of might for upgrading them. It is rarely a good choice unless u have tons of rss and speedups and are already building a wall for an hq upgrade or something.

Yeaaa...that building might is absolutely ridic. Let alone 3 x 300k. Fml. The amount of resources and speeds I needed was absolutely mental.

You can also do it from their commander card (click on their name in alliance chat or alliance rank list) then click the settings cogwheel.

@heavy river this is sort of correct. Troop might quest doesnt use historical might. It is simply looking at NEW troop might (training new troops). As i recall upgrading works well here because it counts the new units in full unlike ace commander because you gain back their full might when the training completes.

You keep the rewards you’ve already claimed, but nothing after that. You can continue with it if you rejoin the same alliance, but I believe you lose whatever quest you were doing.

I can not imagine them wanting to have one for boosting troop chips as those can only be found in a specific way that many people have not been able to get them, its not like troop chips can just be bought in the mall. So I would not expect them to make that a standard one for something when its not something everybody can just get.

I'm sending this to my alliance to motivate people to do their quests and prevent them from doing 0/8 240 random quests:

★★★★ completing quests that have the daily event objective is a very good idea

★★★ Good quests are Arena, Help, Lair - they are very easy to complete.

★★☆ Mystery Shop, Quiz, Stamina and AP can be a bit tricky because they require high attention. Alliance coins can be hard to complete if you don’t have them already saved

★☆☆ Gathering is not a great value and can be hard to complete without access to Swift Gatherer, but it’s free

☆☆☆ Transport quests are really bad value, but we can help you complete! This is especially useful for farms. Please let an R4 know if you need transport quests.

I say the mystery ones are for the spenders or hoarders. I do both, always have boxes of goodies that are waiting to be opened for events.

As far as gathering go, I prefer them. But you do need a lot of time to pay attention and be aware how fast you can clean each level of tile.

I love this! Remember that alliance members can also help each other when it comes to helps. Having someone willing to heal a few troops at a time so that you can get your helps in makes that one so much easier because then you are not waiting for random people to start their builds or research and hoping that you catch them in time!

I prefer the gathering ones myself. I always need to gather, but will only open gear boxes, or upgrade things on certain days, so I don't want to have to blow through them in order to do Showdown. I appreciate that gathering has a countdown clock, so I can throw on a gathering boosts and set a timer once I've reached my tiles. When the timer goes off, I come back to the game to send my guys out gathering again. Works for me and I'm usually in the top 5 in my alliance, but I know it can't work for everyone, especially if you can't get to your game throughout the day.

The time for gathering is calculated without much leeway, especially without swift gatherer and if you just start collecting after you accepted the quest. I'm unable to communicate to everyone that they should tell me what they want to gather, start gathering, and accept that kind before their gather troops return.

Personally, I think that the best time to move state is in the half hour between the conclusion of Ace Commander and the reset which follows. Wait for the mail with your rewards and then bounce. You will be safely in your new state and new alliance before the clock starts on the following week's alliance event, provided one with the requirement that you already be in the alliance at the beginning is going that week.

Literally spent a hoard of boxes and recruit coins to get frags, checked for completion and had REALLY low points, I read the description as posted and it ONLY counts hero perfect frags, I had a few, about 13~15 of the 5* hero perfect frags, used them last, THAT'S when the points went up.

That confirms the ONLY way to get points is from 2 star frags and each tier hero perfect frags for me to get points for the event.

It is not just perfect frags, it is any frag of that number, the "(perfect)" only means that a perfect hero frag is counted for same amount of points as one that is not perfect. Means a 5* or a 5 star perfect frag are counted the same.

There are no 2* perfect hero frags, but there are 3*, 4* or 5* hero perfect frags (though 3 and 4 seem quite rare to get), so it just means you can use either and they equal the same amount of points for the total.

Also some accounted for there was recruit coins which do not count for the quest, as it says 0 points for those, only frags, which would explain some why noticed an increase, as that was offset by ones from the boxes, it counts hero frags you get from lairs as it had to be from a hero card. I am willing to bet you if you buy even 10 4 star frags from the mall and use them you will see that counted for points. As it is only for hero cards, epic hero choice cards do not count either.

Obviously points would shoot up for 5 star cards, 10 to 15 of them are a lot.

Any hero card will count for the total.

But buying hero coins won't matter, or count for points.

@junior apex @opal token I think it would be interesting for PNS to collect data to determine how many points the most active alliances actually get. I think the 100,000 is achievable, but if the trend continues that you need 150,000 points for level 30 I think even top alliances may have a hard time with that one. We are currently ranked 13th globally and I don’t think we would be able to make that much. Just a thought to share with developers.

Depending on the alliance that's not hard at all. Since the level before gave you 13 tasks you can complete and the one before that was even less, I assume the next level will give you the ability to have more tasks and will still average out needing to do tasks of at least 100 points on average. However knowing how some people will go over their 1500, it doesn't hurt if some of the lower ranked HQ's make less points. I would suggest having R4's that are on at different times so tasks can be reset frequently to get high points. Gathering is easy for those with Swift Gatherer unlocked and those that can time it with the alliance mill. If you do it right, transport it easy. I've seen some pretty high point easy mystery shop quests and even high point help or arena quests. Where there is a will there is a way, just requires you to have to be strategic about it.

Easier said than done. Even top global alliance have complained that 150K points is absurd. What you stated is obvious lol - yes, some players do earn more than others, but even with active r4s refreshing quests, not enough of the high-number do-able quests are guaranteed to spawn, and mystery quests have a tendency of bending people over. Also, being a quest refresher shouldn’t be a 24/7 full time job, yet that’s what it will take to place. People have lives, people are away, go on vacation, not all alliances have 100 players, etc. I’d like to know what top alliances average on a regular basis at star level because “depending on the alliance…not that hard at all” sounds like blind optimism to me.

100% we educate and sadly even offer generous help to members. For example, i urge members to take transport resources quests and reimburse their tax losses. Yet some don’t want to contribute because simply they know that kicking is hard for us as an alliance especially coz its for 3 days. They rather join another alliance than staying three days untagged to come back

We try to recruit but there are so many states in pns which makes it hard too

Thats the main issue here: the current showdown narrows down leadership options to either lose members or go find helping members. Both options are not feasible in my opinion. It should be a punishment not a permanent kick. 3 days is like permanent kick. However, kicking for an hour just before sunday reset denying them to collect the rewards sounds more reasonable. It does two objectives:

• punish the ones who didnt do quests by denying them the rewards
• increase the active players motivation and show them that they are worthy for their work

Your debate arguments are full of slippery slope. Too extreme. Its like any employer. There are punishments and rewards. One of leadership traits is accountability which means being able to reward and punish. Thats not fear. If an employer or a leader punishes by salary deduction for example thats not increasing fear. However, it increases employee motivation and dedication.
I’ll stop here as i was only giving out a suggestion nothing more. My advice to you (as mod) to be more open to players suggestions rather than defending the current rules to the extreme. Have a nice day 👍

If you are an R4/officer then you would understand the frustration of having to kick players. Many do well in most events just not in showdown. I find it extreme to kick them. Yet if we only deny them from the rewards it would solve the issue. Another suggestion would be adding a minimum quest requirement that can be set by recruiter/r5. Then each alliance will have their own policy. Lets say we set the minimum at 5 quests then the game automatically denies rewards for players who done less than 5 quests. Or maybe set minimum points requirement

@cosmic jolt we use the alliance showdown to get rid of inactive members. We keep a spreadsheet and watch over time to see if people are always in the bottom. If so and we have a new recruit we move to our sister alliance which is less active

We do that too but if a players isn’t active in showdown, that doesn’t mean he’s inactive in all. We have players who are very active in most events but just don’t want to help in showdown. The dilemma is that the solution is always “kick” which i see very extreme. If we had an option to deny rewards by being able to set minimum requirement per alliance then it would solve the issue. Our leadership approach is to punish or reward per event and not going extreme. A member doesnt do minimum requirement then he/she be denied from rewards. No need for going extreme by kicking and replacing

Some people have circumstances and that is okay, but the repeat low scores …. Usually show they aren’t that motivated to be there. >100,000 might active players are all we really want. if anyone is interested

I’ll tell u the main issue we are facing. We have like 15 members who done 2 or less quests. Some have excuses, some really try but busy, some know they dont and they are rude/dont care. The issue is do we kick all, not kick at all, or kick the rude who have time but dont want to do any?

Our alliance is based on participation too never might. Participation gives free rewards which allows members to grow fast for free

With teamwork and motivation it is possible to reach 150k...but the alliance need to work as team and help each other with ressources and other things :) that makes it possible

I was in alliance that kicked before showdown rewards. I quit. So did many and it doesn’t exist anymore.
It’s one event. They don’t help with that one but donate to tech? Why are they less a member of ur team. You should be able to sit something out sometimes.
Some of my players never do wasteland. Do I kick them out cuz they themselves didn’t earn nap?

Idk. I see what you’re saying but it takes all kinds to make an alliance work. Denying your players a chance at rewards seems punitive. It’s a game. There’s always people that give 110%, just like there are casuals. Set requirements to be a member so it solves the booting issue. You don’t abide, you go. But I think you’ll find most players deserve to be in ur alliance despite the 1 event. Just my unsolicited 2 cents.

I hear you, even if people don’t make requirements we let them collect rewards. usually the inactives in alliance showdown are inactive in general for us. So it is a metric that can be used, but is clearly stated 1) when you join 2) a ton in the alliance messages and people get multiple chances. And if you don’t want to participate one time, we move you to the farm for the week and then you can come back.

I am an R4 indeed and I was arguing that you don‘t have to kick any player at all. You could motivate your players by talking to them, not kicking them

All im trying to say that we should have an option to punish or deny rewards rather than kicking. Kicking never solves the problem. Its an extreme measure. As for motivation and education, we do our best but its never enough

I’m in one that has 32 members, and one that is nearly maxed. There is no way 32 members can make that maximum! Even if they do all participate!

I disagree - it is unlikely you will be kicked or asked to remove to another alliance after just one event. You have to realise that Showdown is a team event where the rewards are shared “equally” - so your two cents contribution doesn’t quite stack up to someone who laid out 10 cents worth of effort. It’s a week long event - put your back into it. If you’re wise enough - 1 quest can take 2 mins.

For me it’s about a positive attitude.

I always do this event. And yeah. Unfortunately it was only Bc of one event. I have no issues doing the max and I do it on 4 accounts. But I watched what it did to smaller players. And the stress the pressure caused wasn’t worth it. Imo.
