Phew, my older alliance was at less than 140k around the end of WK. Cracked the whip and now we're at 158k 😂 Little scary towards the end there and was genuinely worried we weren't going to make it. We lost about 10 players in the last few week and they all did their minimum or better. Plus I was focusing on my newer alliance so I didn't give my usual encouragement and stuff there. Sucks though because we usually make like 180k+ and usually make top 3 rewards. Guess we need to do some recruiting and try to stay on the ball.

For those of us with alliances that rely on our participation to finish and do it on multiple accounts and who also help out other alliances regularly (if not every single time)…it’s just like this constant grind that it becomes a chore. But honestly…even people who only do it on one account in my alliance are tired of how frequent it is.

Alliance Showdown // Ace day 3: Consumer stamina and AP.
-I recommend never doing any of the AP or stamina showdown quests because they're such poor value. Amount needed is very high compared to the points received.
-Continue doing the regular free quests. Gather, transport, arena, help, lair, etc.
-This advice changes if there's an AP- or stamina-based holiday event running concurrently.
Other than that, we're still doing a great job! Some of us are done and most of us are on track to making 1500+. Keep it up!

Alliance Showdown // Ace day 4: Soldier training. Break Loose.
-Speedup and troop might quests overlap today. As usual, the 113 and 143-point quests are bad.
-Set talents to balance for training boosts and use the Cost Reduction skill and the training speed boost item.
-Reset nova economy skills to put points into training speed.
-Break Loose! Try to save your quests and troop training to see if there's a speedup or training event. The speedup event is 711 hours, the training event is much less. Something like 7-10k troops will finish it.

Showdown // Ace day 5: Get enhance/promote materials // Break Loose.
-There are two break loose events that overlap today's ace: gear/module and chip/cube.
-As always, 113- and 143-point quests are bad.
-10 boxes (promoter 1/2/3 and enhancer) is worth 100k points for the showdown quests.
-There are 2 materials quests for each type: 120pt for 200k and 176pt for 800k points. That means 20 or 80 boxes will complete them.
-Open lair boxes and buy materials from Ruins and Rare Earth shops.

Showdown // Ace day 6: Recruit, Bio research, modifiers. Break Loose.
-No real tips here. 113- and 143-point quests are bad. Only overlap is hero frag quests and break loose quests.

Showdown is a way that everyone can grow. We have done the math with the diamonds and if growing players use the diamonds wisely on rss it can cover weeks of full time gathering. It’s also a way for accounts of all sizes to contribute to the success of the alliance. Get your 1,500 point minimum and boom success. My only complaint about showdown is the necessity to keep resetting quests. Instead of just random it should be a board of tailored quests or something. Nobody or barely anyone does the 113 point and below because the effort to reward ratio is worse than the next level up. So i say keep showdown but improve the quest selection.

Many in my state and in my alliance are tired of Showdown and would like more time between. We know all the benefits. Many of us have a lot of f2p players. It doesn’t make it less repetitive, less pressure, or less exhausting to manage for leadership. We had to spread it out to 3-4 people because it was too much for the 2 (including myself) who were in charge of tracking and keeping on top of stragglers, etc. Doing these things has enabled us to achieve phase 30 every time. But it’s also time consuming and tiring. A longer break in between would be appreciated for alliances where 30 does not come easily. All those who have been saying otherwise, I’ve noticed, come from alliances where I assume that’s not really an issue. Consider the other side.

I understand your side. Trust me I do. But we’ve been able to get a farm alliance to also get to 150k. Doesn’t mean it’s not hard. When they just took away a bunch of free stuff and this is truly a way to get rewarded for free it seems like the frequency is good. We promote extra R4s in different time zones that refresh quests and give 17 weeks a year to spread responsibility and make others be held accountable. I find it more of a culture of an alliance then the event itself. If my math does it correctly it’s like an extra 2.5m diamonds per person if max all 17 which is roughly $8,500 assuming $100 for a typical 30k pack or say $5k if you get diamonds on diamond day. That’s a shitton of free stuff for the f2p player to do 12-14 quests. Anyway. I do understand your point but if the casual and f2p players can’t do that math and make an extra effort for those 17 weeks then you need to get ones that will. It may sound harsh but it’s easy math. Not saying it’s the right opinion but it’s mine 😎. I think there are better things to crusade for. Like upping the rewards for the alliance events.

Plenty of our f2p do make extra efforts, and we do clear 150k. The issue is not with not knowing the tasks to do. My alliance is incredibly well-informed. But it's because I go out of my way to make it so. I create charts on tasks to take and match with events, I send mail on tasks to match with events. I send general reminders and encouragement. And then there are the other R4s who send messages to players individually, who coach individually, and who track performance and scores. We kick those who have underperformed two events in a row without giving any notice. But we also aren't really able to just let people go without any backup in place, as there have been times where R4s have had to pick up extra slack and bring in 2 farms each. Would not like to return to that. We do still have to bring in farms, as it is, to cover for those who may have real life exceptions.

It's also a lot easier said than done to say "get ones who will" when you're competing with some very desirable alliances in your state that, even if my alliance is really awesome, just can't be those alliances (and we aren't trying to be). Like it's great that we have a good state and the flip side is, it means competition is extremely high in attracting players who give their best effort. Lately we seem to have caught a break and have gotten some great additions to our team, but for several months, that wasn't the case. We were all very burnt out.

It's why I argue for it to be less frequent and with better rewards to compensate.

It's a high pressure, high anxiety event for those in charge with similar situations who care a lot, is all I'm saying, and we could do with a break.

I would say Alliance showdown is great event and keep it the way how it is . It is the only place where f2p players can earn high amount of diamonds and grow . Without this event I can definitely say many f2p players will immediately leave as they will see no other way to grow.
