Unfortunately EIA was able to play AsA into falling for their trick of NAP’ing against us to ensure we lost, allowing the considerably lesser strong team to win. EiA proposed NAP to us first and we saw right through that offer. They basically made AsA their big ogre, used them as a fiddle and had us fighting 580 troop marches versus our 265 troop marches. Hard to fend off that kind of assault when you have fairly strong players on all sides. Great on EIA for playing ASA into that “nap” because they knew if they could focus on one of the two Titan alliances helping them to do their dirty work, they could just flood the kraken and if they held it most of the time they would win. Why ASA would actually fall for that trick is beyond me, but that’s how we both lost. Lol

If you run the math alone based upon strength it wont factor in some critical variables that would need to be included to have a truly accurate equation. The big issue was fuel. When they started a full assault on our territory from both sides we couldn’t replenish quick enough because our batteries were getting drained. You would have to factor into the final equation low batteries + loss of time to reheal and temp loss of mobility to return March.

I'm inclined to believe that if all cores are set for the most troop defense possible that it will prevent battle losses and drastically reduce healing time and necessity to travel back to previous destinations allowing for a better spread across territories without deterrence

No that wouldn’t work. That makes an assumption each battle is equal when it’s not. When the flood of weaker players start healing with significantly lower batteries it will eventually cause a bottle neck for larger players who don’t lose often but if they lose they get stuck in the HQ or are waiting to heal. If an alliance sends multiple 50 player marches to all entry points led by two strong alliances no matter what you do you will suffer losses in troops and territory. It’s hard to beat that kind of surge. Also changing cores to all defense is silly and beyond expensive, for a single event where you may or may not get napped. Even if a middle tier player had all their cores to Def our top 20 players would still tear tight thru them like paper. Each alliance had to some extent similar top 20 players, with EIA being about 33% weaker but combine with ASA top heavy that’s 120 very strong marches combined with a flood of smaller one nicking at your toes like little leeches.
