I think it’s all about perspective. You may not see the benefit in points, but I’ve seen players get attacked because they took a prime position in the mud when they aren’t going for a turret or hub and have been asked kindly to move and then have been attacked to force them to move. It doesn’t benefit you in points, but it can in speeds and in timing attacks etc. Some attack for fun or personal grievances.

Basically though if you aren’t willing or ready to take a hit then the mud is not a place you want to be.

Depending on how long ago it was posted, there could have been changes made to firing speed for that level.

The difference between winning/losing some of those levels come down to fractions-of-a-second movements or one extra bullet from your group hitting the target, (like Hally said).
