It's 1250 diamonds per key and you'll need on average around 250 keys to get the top prize for the HQ skin version (slightly more for the ambiance version). But it also might take a lot more if you're unlucky. Stories of folks needing 400 or 500 keys aren't uncommon.

It's good to have extra of everything, IMO. It's not likely but if you hit 500 shovels and don't get the top reward, you're gonna want those extra shovels in your bag.
