Sort of. The prior design was somewhat illogical. Spin 5 times for 50, but you only get 4 chances for 777s, with the 5th guaranteed. When you hit 777s, only 1 box would drop. Now, in theory, I think, we have a chance to drop a box with each of 50 spins. And I suppose that was true before, too, if you spun 50 times, instead of 5 times, but who did that? Haven't tried yet.

so it effectively gives you 1 more day to come up with the 10k diamonds too

No no, perhaps I'm phrasing this badly but you're missing my point.

What I mean is you can buy 10 crowbars/shovels for 10k diamonds. If that's a better value or return than buying 10k diamonds worth of ap, then it's better to buy it now. If it's not and you get more value from buying that in ap, then better to save the diamonds until Sat and use them on AP. Anyways, bit of a moot point then since you pointed out it is better value to buy with diamonds.

Each ap refill gives 12 you need 10 for a crowbar.. Each refill is 1500 diamonds. If that helps math compare.

So 10k in ap refills would only be 7 shovels with 1k diamonds left over.
