I’ve always used the lair information for WK sign ups but am now in a state that wants to use the commander boost information.

It probably gets more important if you have several players with similar stats to take all into consideration. Players with outstanding ATK stats probably have decent HP and DEF too. And might be interesting to use the better ATK stats if you’re taking a state to lead rallies

yeah flag shouldn’t be tied to res affinity imo especially because the alliances you mentioned have their affinity essentially frozen due to being ineligible for res/clash while still in the tourney

Well, there are a few ways around this if your alliance is hardcore. Have a spare alliance shell and use farms to drop the points, or pick your events to lose to maintain the affinity. Will cost your showdown rank though unless you are using farms to maintain them.
