So I'm not really sure how the game works entirely. But yesterday I bought a 3-day shield using my diamonds that I collected. I log in this morning and it said I got raided 34 times and my shield was gone but the only thing I was doing between yesterday and today was collecting. Is that why it disappeared?

You either used a shield that wasn't the 3-day shield or you broke it somehow.
If you did alliance clash, sending to a foothold breaks it. If you marched on an already-occupied tile while gathering, that breaks it.

I remember purchasing the 3-day because I went from 9,000 diamonds to 4,000 and all the tiles I went to nobody was occupying unless it was laggy when I did it because I know my phone was lagging a bit. I'm not sure if that was is what's caused it

Is there any way to protect my resources besides the warehouse because like I had a lot of resources and now they're all gone

3 day shields have been known to be faulty

If you believe that your shield dropped early and you're positive you didn't do anything to break it, contact CS. I don't know if they compensate for that but they should be able to tell what happened.

You can protect your resources by sending to the warehouse, holding very little resources that exceed your protected limit, use a shield, join an alliance that's protected by nap or emigrate to a peaceful state.

It is additive

The argument for doing main first would be the refinement because the tactical skill boost stat is the best stat you can get.

That costs a ton of dust to refine tho

Since the bonus is equal for both Troop and Specialization (Shooter/Fighter/Rider), your best option is to boost your Troop stat first.
Troop stats apply to all specializations equally, while a specialization boost only applies to the individual troop type.

Don’t know what the numbers are at the top of my head for those, but I’d look at the boost you’d get from doing cubes vs chips and see which is one is a better stat to promoter ratio. But like Blue said cube promoters are also harder to get, so weigh that in as well
