So I’m doing a big hive reorganization tomorrow, and I realized ….. I’ve just been placing my alliance fort and six outposts without actually having the slightest clue what they do. Can anybody shed light on how I can tell exactly where the placement of these buildings will affect my hive?

For example, will putting my somewhere give me a square around the fort or from the fort. Does placing an alliance post give me a certain amount of space starting from that alliance post?
