This week's Nuka was...okay. There did seem to be more tiles, I think they spawn tiles according to how many people join the map, since more tiles were popping up in the first couple minutes as it got more crowded.

However, there seem to be more people than there used to be. Which makes it harder to get ranking rewards.

I'm not that high so I don't know. But I always assumed you want the highest tier HQ for your troops without having to upgrade. That Nuka T11 tier is just around the corner. It can be next update, next year, or next decade.

You're not wrong, but you're underestimating the rss and tubes needed to upgrade when you reach HQ 35, it's a much slower curve to get to 39 than the other tiers

HQ 29 is so weird, the top players have stats that are normally reserved for the T10 tier. I haven't seen so many players with 3.5K+ Troop ATK before. But maybe that's cause they lowered the number of Nuka Rooms.

Well, at least they increased the number of ores now. People have stopped zeroing themselves trying to steal my ore.

Nah alot of f2p use nuka as a source for free perfects and ypu don't even need to rank for that just give us our tiles back. Although part of me thinks the tile issue was also due to overcrowding and new people in different timeslots and maybe it's just mellowing out like most updated need time to do

Overcrowding was only part of it, the tiles only spawned about 40-60% compared to prior to the update. Even if they didn't overcrowded, there would still be more attacks than usual for Level 3/4. Prior to the update, I'd get hit maybe once - and they move on to another target. With the patch, my screen would red for the first 15 minutes. The latest change added more tiles, so now I get maybe within the 3-4 minutes.

8K Rider ATK is very hard as a T8 - much more achievable as a T9 since you have 3 Cubes to help. I think Izzy is 10K+ Rider ATK, so that's probably "maxed" out for a T9.

Well I had the case that I just landed and started to send out my marches when 3 HQ ported next to me and like eliminated me within seconds…. I mean I have no problem with fighting for ores but how NUKA is now is just total nonsense and at least for me - NO fun at all

I was so p!ssed that i had to use speedups which i usually dont use at all in nuka. I usually rank within top 80 without much atks.

But last 2 nuka for me was too crowded.

Would never happen if I was in the same slot. I got timing down to almost a science and one Apex Obsidian from wrecking your army - that's the only advantage you have over me. I don't need to go after that many boxes - 1 march for Box 2, 3, 4, and 5 is all I need. I'm so boss I don't even go after Box 1 (mainly cause I can't send that many marches out correctly - I send them out but oddly they arrive too late).

Nuka is horrible now. It's has made it for the Strongest Players now. My L36 HQ was starting to get L3 and L4 ores, and now I'm stuck with L1 and L2 ores now because of the changes, it's ridiculous. My L24 HQ was getting strong and was on L4 ores all of the time, and now stuck with L2 and L3 ores. It has been completely ruined.

That is incorrect. The first update decreased both number of servers and ores, this led to overcrowding since more people were competing for less ores (I was getting tile hit for the first 15-20 minutes). Now ores are spawning at previous levels, so not as much fighting (I'm getting hit just in the first 5 minutes).

Nuka went from favoring the player with the most troops, to the player with the strongest march that is also good at timing. So strategies need to be adjusted. I still hate it, cause you're just one bad network lag away from losing boxes. Whereas before, lag wasn't really a factor. Whoever thought of last occupant of a box wins it, didn't account for network lag - which happens more often than you think.

With the old Nuka, this is dangerous though and requires cooperation. Since everyone has the same tier of troops, you can be knocked off a box and the timer reset by multiple marches coming at you - especially if their troops are counters to yours.

From Box 3 (and especially 4-5), you are time limited. Stubborn opponent(s) with a lot a troops can make sure you don't hold any box for the full 3 minutes. And worse, if they have alliance members in the same time slot. It's better to guarantee victory with Boxes 1-3 and let others fight for Box 4-5.

It looks like you're spending diamonds and just hoping for the best - that's not a good strategy. Fast March decreases march time by 25%, while diamonds decreases march time by 50%.

You might get lucky by not correctly timing your marches for Boxes 1-2, but Box 3+, that strategy doesn't work (it is just marginally better than the players sending all 5 marches at one box). If you're going to be using items to reduce your march time, you had better get good at mental math. If the box's timer is 8s, and your march time is 12s - using diamonds will get you there 2s early and dislodged (use the 25% speedup and you'll arrive 1s late). The correct answer is to use 25% speedup, let your march drop to 6s and use 25% again - your march will arrive within 0.5s of box's timer expiring. Very few people in PNS can do such mental math on the fly - so keep it simple, use speedup just once to save it for other boxes (or events).

Just had a bug on the boxes in nuka I only have my winning report 1 second before the box would expire
but I did not receive the box or a loss report for that level 2 box

Honestly it didn't really change anything for me , if anything, the new update has worked in my favor. I no longer need to keep my best marches holding a box for 3 mins. Now I can raze as I please and worry about the boxes last second. I was averaging 60-80m kills pre update , now it's 100m+ every nuka.

He didn't have enough troop size or native stats to overcome Shooter vs Rider disadvantage. Generally you need both +30K Troops and +1K Total ATK as a starting point.

T10 Riders have told me that when they face another T10 Shooter, if march size is "similar" they'll lose even if they have +2K Total ATK (Rider + Troop) when compared to the Shooter. Apex Fox and Apex Obsidian do help reduce that, but that assumes the Shooter also doesn't have Apex Nam Hayul and Apex Phoenix.

I feel like my heroes affected my march time. I sent a single fighter to each box to test, wrote it down, and yet the time was always slightly off. Maybe I'm a just a slowpoke 😒 . Arriving a little to early I attacked 14 times, or I would arrive late and miss it. Somehow managed to rank 10

It's not you. Issue is that the granularity of the game's march time and box timer is only shown in seconds. So unless you're there with a stopwatch (which I'm guessing there's probably someone out there doing that), your march can arrive anywhere between +0.98s (early) or -0.98s (late) for almost a 2 second window.

For example, if the box shows 00:13 left and your march also shows 00:13 you have two extremes:

1. Box - 00:13:01, You - 00:13:99, meaning you're arriving late.
2. Box - 00:13:99, You - 00:13:01, meaning you're arriving almost 1s too early and are going to take a lot of hits (especially for Box 5).

This is the main reason overpowered players only have an advantage for Boxes 1-2, where since there are many boxes, players ignore the box the whale is marching on - or the whale can take 1-2 hits and if arriving early. But with Box 5, any player arriving 1s too early is very unlikely to win that box.

i did the same thing, i also found that depending where the box was located also affect the march time to box time. one box my march compared to box time was +6, while the box further away was +13.

Yeah, somewhere they have failed to actually apply march speed boosts correctly. Not sure if it is the nova boost or a hero boost, but something is missing in the programming.
It has been in BIG BOLD LETTERS on my reports since they messed it up, but apparently they don’t care about their mistake.
