Yeah, I've never gotten more than 75k score from just gathering (I'm also in the T9 bracket). The only time that I've ever gotten all phases was when almost no big HQs showed up and I was able to grab some boxes. Recently there's been a bunch of big HQs (600M+ with nice gear) so I've gone back to just gathering.

I have never done Nuka and don’t know how it works or what I might face as a smaller player. I am@just about to 50M/HQ24, but I am on a much older server (I joined and never played til this year). My alliance alone has 43 people above 200M and I rank at 80. Is Nuka a bad idea for me or can a weaker player do it without getting zeroed?

I would stay bubbled and stay away from the centers of the maps, gather near the 1s and 2s to get a feel for the event. People might still steal your tiles but if you're bubbled they at least can't burn your sanctuary.

I had a friend who just did Nuka for the first time recently and he is not small, over HQ35, and I told him just hang out on the margins and see what it was all about. That's what he did and he liked it. Gave him a chance to just see what was going on.

Swift Gather doesn't work in Nuka

It is all about speed and efficiency. Use riders to gather as they march faster. Unlike normal rss, you can gather all of the ore with 1 troop, but I recommend sending 1000-10000 at a time so you win against someone sending only 1.
If someone is about to steal a tile you just landed on, it is usually faster and less loss to take the hit and send new troops elsewhere. If you have almost finished gathering, try to recall those troops so you don’t lose a plunder amount when the opponent wins.

Don’t be afraid to try hitting some tiles and learning. I would suggest sitting around where the tiles are 2-3 so you have a closer chance to see what others around you are doing and learn.
Everything comes back to at the end, so the worst thing that happens is your troops die for a little while and you go home with few rewards and try again next week.

I think that the 40s are just as aggressive as the 37+ lol. Most of the 40 take whatever tile the want. Speaking from experience.

Nukaland should be adjusted. It’s crowded, tons of 40s. I have had 15-20 x 40s in each one lately.

And the 40s do this. Because there is always one player that flex the muscle. Usually only 2 players hit 100k points in this bracket.

In 30-34. We usually had 4-6 hit 100k.

I love nuka, and have no regrets at keeping myself at hq29 for a while longer to keep enjoying it. But it also means I wake up at 330am every 2 weeks to be told I’m not needed in turrets so I make my own fun 🤣
