The reason to reduce the frequency of events that can help free to play or moderate spend players is to ensure that they no longer play, correct? I’m not sure how much people actually pay attention to rewards from events but with fewer opportunities to earn the nano boxes from Alliance Trials, there goes the ability for ftp to advance nanos. The rss provided in events may seem small but it adds up over time. The tavern coins from DR, Sonic, and Fox’s Test do as well. Oh, and removing the personal event that got you a shot at 5 Meyers frags for 99 cents because you do have to spent to complete that is out the window too. It normally costs $10 for 10 so that was really helpful for Meyers growth. No one wants daily holiday events that require large sums of money to complete. That’s what people have been saying. We didn’t say, hey, stop giving us free stuff that allows us play the game better.

I don’t like the updated Nuka at all and refuse to play it so that change means nothing to me. HOWEVER, with the removal of the Lucky Wheel how are people supposed to get perfect frags? Those will be available only for purchase? I guess the whales got too mad that people could upgrade some more heroes with perfect frags that the ability to get them for free had to be removed?

Understandable. I’m working on Scarlett myself. I had to cut down on my screen time so had been skipping Nuka. I was finally back to playing it some, with breaks, while I gathered, so that I could get some perfect frags. Now I can’t play it all.

Is it just me or i think the devs kind of didn't get the kind of events we want to be frequent and not frequent? Im fine with all the others except nuka, yes sonic is boring asf (but im enjoying it now since i can reach 12M in damage already sweetly lol), doa and dr, errr just so-so etc.

I was hoping the HOLIDAY events are evenly placed coz as it happens, it's hard to save now (stam tabs, ap, diamonds) than it was before.

Sure, the events now have story lines which i appreciate btw, each connected to the other parts. But they come one after another and that's annoying.

The dev wants to make event become lottery like or irregular time, so that we spend more when the event is held. If it's regular event, player tend to save it and spend less.

• The limited-time Tavern event will be available from Mondays to Wednesdays during the weeks when the Ace Commander event is open.

• We have also added the Diamond Wheel, which replaces the original Scorched Earth Mine, and the latter will open at irregular intervals.

(D) OTHER ADJUSTMENTS
In order to improve the overall experience, we have made some additional adjustments.

• The Like function in the Kills Ranking has been disabled

• Hero Duel will now reward Antiserum instead of Food.

• Sub-events (phases) of the Ace Commander have been adjusted, with increased ranking rewards.

• Bioenhancer event has been changed to Glory & Bioenhancer.

• Chip Upgrade event has been changed to Chip & Cube.

• Opening time of the Divination and Lucky Draw events has been shifted from Monday to Wednesday of Ace Commander weeks to Saturdays and Sundays.

All of the events that were changed are optional to show up for and do not constitute a reduction in time-suck for players. These are also the events that are fun, sociable, and provide good rewards for showing up and participating (well DR rewards are questionable).

PNS Please Note #2:
The most time consuming event, Wasteland King has no proposed changes at all whatsoever and is the one event most people feel they must attend for an entire 24 hours every two weeks and the one event that burns people out. And for the time spent, the rewards are meh.

In the short term sure, in the slightly longer term not so much. When many of the mud strength players start to give up trying to keep pace, let alone catch up, the big players will lose all the players that they prey on or protect/play with. Then the big players will get bored and leave. It’s happened in every game similar to this one that I’ve ever played. PnS has mimicked that play book exactly and I somehow still fell for the trap, mostly because of the people I play with.

We are entering the middle stages of the end of a flourishing game. Eventually it will become a shell that only die hard fans and a small trickle of new players that don’t know it’s mostly dead will play.

Events are team building and create friendships online, by having less team events alliances will not be as close and strong, I know many players that are still playing because of the alliance they are in and the people they play with and not for the game itself. The problem is that PnS calls EVERYTHING an event!

Cube upgrade isn’t an event, it’s a task. Ace isn’t an event, it’s a task.

Res war/clash, wasteland king/conquest, valiant, nuka. Those are events. We want more (and different) of those and for them to stop making crappy changes to the ones we have.

PnS confuses things that we have to spend money on to complete as events, we do not.

My 2 cents. Keep food cause no one needs antiserum after 15. Keep d.o.a. every other week. Make dead rising fun instead of snooze fest or get rid of it. Fix nuka vs every other week. Sonic should be 2 times a week. Will have more input as I go. P.s. throw in random skill events. Maybe an occasional tower defense event as holiday or poker or black jack. Random occasional stuff to keep fresh. Again my 2 cents. But some could be fun changeups vs getting rid of events people actually want to join. Just punishing actives with change i.m.o.

Here are my thoughts:
Event closure:
Cube Upgrade - combining this with the Chip Upgrade event is a welcomed change. I never liked the placement during Ace Commander.
Glory & Refinement - This is a great event for those player that do not spend much. It takes minimal effort to collect a couple frags for Phoenix, Lady M, etc.
Collect Resources, Army Expansion, & Personal Activity - these events are not detrimental to playing time or the alliance. We can choose on our own whether to complete them or not.
Lucky Wheel - I am sad to see this event go. The only problem with this event was that it overlapped with Joy. You only needed to alter the timing of this event.

Changes in event frequency and rewards:
The Apex Match - I have no issues with this change. This event is boring if you are not in the top 4 of your state
Nukaland - I find this event to be tedious and rarely join it. The open access so that you could pick any one to join was a good change. I have no opinion as to whether the event was occurring too often.
Fox's Test - the rewards for this event are not enticing enough to complete it weekly.
Special Operations - This event was not occurring too frequently. The rewards are decent for a minimal amount of time. It should stay at the current frequency of thrice weekly.
The Alliance Party - this event was not overly burdensome on time. The original frequency is fine
The Defense of Alliance - It is a fun alliance event that promotes cooperation and communication. Keep a twice every other week
Dead Rising - this event was fine at twice every other week.
Sonic Decoy - There is no need to change this. Anyone can wait longer if they choose.
The Alliance Trial - this is not overly burdensome at once per week. The rewards are great. This event did not need a change.

New events:
Diamond Wheel - need more info on what is happening to the unused sticky bombs.
Other Adjustments:
Hero Duel - antiserum is a useless reward

The main complaint I hear from people in game isn’t overwhelm from events. It’s how quickly they change.

That there isn’t enough time for players to get the skins, auras, marches without spending a ton.

And then instantly it switches to another 3 day event that only yields rewards to people who can drop $2k in the event.

I’m not free to play and I get tired of it myself.

So instead of keeping some of the free events on the same schedule and possibly spreading out events that require you to spend a bunch of money to get any kind of rewards, you lessened the frequency of the free stuff and added more pay to play events. Not only that but took away the free spin in the lucky wheel event and added timed tavern with no way to get coins except spending money.
On top of that added more in game adds to the screen to try and induce more purchases. I get it, it’s a freemium game and all and yes I do spend some money. But I’m not spending more on an ambiance in some BS app game than I would on a PlayStation 5.
Try to make your greed a little less apparent and you’ll probably get more people spending money.

I also don't like that lucky draw/divination is 2 days. Lucky Draw is 3 coins to start and divination is 5 coins to start was what I was saying and you automatically thought I had a different view. Nah was just saying I don't agree with the upsetness about knowing the event

They claimed their "optimization" of events was to help players experience. But so far it's been the opposite experience. Decreased daily ace points per event / or increased speedups. Decreased days for events like doom fest. Alliance trials, break loose. The two best ftp events. This is unfortunate.

It’s not about not being able to do it f2p it’s the fact that’s they’re making it much harder and making others spend even more to achieve the same goal after 3 years of it being relatively the same minus when they raised break loose points to complete phases. If we “lie down and take it” then ofcourse they’ll continue to do it. And I’m very much NOT f2p. I find this update to be a slap in the face of the community that’s helped build them and the game to what it is. (I’ve also msg pns officials and cs) others should do the same. Don’t just accept defeat. This is a slow boil. Make small changes consistently until it’s so dramatically leaning into a pay wall for absolutely everything. Pretty soon it’ll cost money to log in this game.

I'm a f2p and hoarding has become a past time for me. I finished this phase of ace opening up boxes and collecting the same amount as I did last time and not even close to top 20% for the phase, where as last time I ended up 12.46% for phase with main and top 50% for mini. I just wish they would put stuff back to way it was when I started playing game at the end of March 2021. It's actually nice that some of the bigger spenders are sticking by those of us that aren't able to spend so that hopefully changes get made to help out instead of only helping out the big spenders

The only day I’m really concerned with is bio/refiner. But it can be done. I’ll know more once we have a full Ace with the changes. I think part of the problem is that people try to rank high too often, rather than maintain a consistent completion rate, which allows for a wider range of events.

Yes I put a rough draft of how f2p can rank without spending in ace commander cause personally with my small main I hoard for a good month or so for frags which is wo much more worth than getting minimal like I do with my t11. So I think the rough outline I have shared may help others rank and do well if patient. Bio/refiner is simple. Save diamonds and Bioschemes. Bioschemes you can get in alliance shop and/or prison trials runs every 3 days and you can get a decent amount of bioschemes that way. Even buying them in bard shop when they pop up

Bio/refiner will definitely be difficult. If I didn't have paid event rewards (tier 2 of the granite event) I wouldn't have completed it.

I’m saving my bio to 270 for the guaranteed apex until I at least have them all apex. In one account I’m almost done. I also using them in the non-Ace bio day and Break Loose sometimes. I’ll have to see if those change. And, while I do save diamonds, there are other events where they might be needed for some players - again, that will depend on what they end up changing permanently.

Yes agreed it also falls down to that aspect of which week is more important to you. I mostly do off week that's that's I hoard for. But others that use ace can save that 270 hoard for Bioscheme day during ace if they wanted. But yes my diamonds is going towards a holiday event so I'm definitely not doing that but it is possible to do bio and refiner if you don't have other priorities

I use them in my rider’s lair march and they kind of set me back a little but now they are working ok. I had to make some other defense/HP upgrades and swap Mars back in for Meyers. I’m stopping at +7 to finish up Lady M. Then I’ll go back to them. Heroes to +8 is ridiculous.

I’m annoyed by the removal of personal activity because 5 Meyers frags for 99 cents was a good deal.

I don't know about the effects on ranking, nor do I know what the points requirements were before the update, but I ran the numbers on the current event. To complete all phases and earn a minimal ranking, you need to use a bit over 711 hours of speedups. Each Joy spin takes knocks that down by a bit over 22 hours.

Not having an alliance event for any week is not a smart play for the developers. It was inferred new events would replace what was removed. New events should be alliance based, since its the core of the game. There is no incentive to log on after I do dailys if there is no event to participate with my fellow players. I'm sure they analyzed the engagement, but making better events or rewards would increase player engagement, not removing events altogether.

Another worry is that since the feedback to the changes haven’t been received well, whether or not any additional changes will be considered (I doubt it at this point 🤣). Although I’m sure that it won’t be reverted back to how it was before.

Everyone is currently waiting on more info and how severely it messes up their current alliance schedule. 🤦🏻‍♀️ There have been speculations, but until the new rotation is done, there’s no point in putting time into working on a new schedule.

If you're on JohnnyFiev's discord, I shared my spreadsheet. Provided your SD is every 96 hours, and events are somewhat static (ours is Mon +2 and Thurs -9 for DOA/Dead Rising) - all you need to input is the Sunday Reset date, Daylight Savings Time, and if SD is happening on the dynamic day.

I'm not liking the tavern event. I preferred the old way selecting what frags I want to spend my money on. I just paid $20 bucks for 1 Angelo frag and the rest were duplicates since they were all +8. I got a choice. Waste money or not participate. I'm a 40 HQ so this new way alienates late stage gamers.

Sorry to hear you had problems with missing shovels. Hope you submitted a ticket to CS about it. On my accounts, all the shovels from previous events were still there. I'm 100% F2P so I'm used to hoarding for a long time. The longest was gold coins when you only could get 10 every two weeks. I saved for over a year to get 270. That took some patience! 🙂
