It can be turned off too for those that want a full screen

the GachaSP is a GBA SP mod, it's basically the bottom part of the device (so if you know how big a GBA SP is, you will get the idea) with the screen mounted on a new front-shell and a tiny board for the buttons that you have to wire to the original... it's a mess, but I would like to have one

And since in the GBA era most Chinese players used flashcarts instead of actual cartridges, rarity is not such a concern over there, until second hand market sprung up to cater to collectors of said actual cartridges

And lesser gamepads can really impact how much fun you get out of this game, because it has a lot of different action commands. Its audio is quite good too (Though I always think the stage 1 music is a little like Gradius for some reason)

It’s integer scaled to GBA, it makes sense that it would be better than the RG35XX Plus. Although the RGB30 is a surprise considering it’s also integer scaled.

well, the difference between RGB30 and V10 is more in the saturation of the image, not really a problem with the scaling, after all the RGB30 does perfect 3x and the V10 2x

So is the V10 just inherently less saturated or less bright (specifically in person)? Because the square screen in the Cube and RGB30 is really freaking good, so the only reason I can think of is that the V10 truly is just built different for GBA emulation and actively just looks more authentic to GBA colors via stock alone, no shaders needed.

well, I don't have an V10 yet, but my rg351m should use the same display, I will check with the same games against my RGB30 later just for the heck of it, but from the picture above it simply looks like the V10 is more saturated, which isn't necessarily more authentic to original hardware, as by nature of the original GBA screen games were usually very bright, but kinda looks wrong on modern displays

for example if I play GBA games on my AP via the dock it just looks wrong without the og pixel overlay, which makes the colors way darker than just the clean image

I have a v10 and rgb30, the v10 is noticeably dimmer

unless the stock firmware brightness slider is lying

as I said the colours are quite good on the v10 - maybe a touch over 6500k but I prefer that to a cold screen

V10 is V90 price. I love the V90, but it seems pretty clear which is the better screen there, even ignoring aspect ratio and integer scaling.

The Powkiddy V10 is the handheld version of playing stretched GBC games on your GBA in 2001

The SP being separate is its own situation that I still don’t really know about.

Although I wouldn’t be against it if we change it up so that the 40XX and 35XXH are 1 channel, while the Plus/28XX/SP are another channel to separate the devices with sticks and the devices with no sticks.
