I thought that updating might fix it, but I am encountering the same problem, deleted all pokemon roms from the console, downloaded pokemon fire for GBA and when trying to save the notification gets stuck on the screen at 0%

Trying to load the save state doesnt work

So it was a sd card issue. Thank goodness it was just some light corruption

I had that problem with the cards that shipped with the device -- it all seemed to work but it only started saving after I provided my own cards. ROMs I copied over from windows explorer would seem to write but they wouldn't "stick" unless you copied them over several times.

I had this save problem with stock second sd card on rg280v, after some time saves would no longer write until I use the "repair function" in windows. I quickly replaced it afterwards anyway

I used to have issues with mame too, the firmware is not the issue, its emulator and romsets

For example if you use mame2003 emulator you need to google mame2003 romset

There's internet archives of full romsets of various versions, very useful

not really. The benefit that having a 2 sd card setup is that if something goes wrong with the OS, it's faster to just reflash than to reflash and reload your roms.

the devices are essentially the same, just different board lay out, hence the stick placement, everything internally is the same in terms of software the ram is drr4 on r35s and ddr3 on r36s likely due to lack of stock in warehouse, the stock files used will work on both, as the stock files are actually named r35s and not r36s on the r36s , so batteries are the same

Just solder where I have shown one wire between them thats it , as the left side of the FN button goes to ground anyway thus there is no need to run a ground point to a ground point, again setting R3 as HOTKEY in retroarch and remember and save it

Just double up on the same battery for 6400mah at 3.7v

The bttery cover would only essentially need to be raised by slightly thicker than the second battery if its still spacious then a little double sided foam tape can stop any battery wiggle 😄 happy to cover costs
