Do I need to check "Reduce-Only" in the advanced settings? What does "Reduce-only" or "post-only" mean? ... When I don't click "reduce only" the UI says I have insufficient balance when placing my sell order..

Post only means your order will only be placed as limit order in the book, will not hit existing order, you don’t pay order taking fee up front

If you don’t do post only, if your order sit in book and traded later, liquidaty taking fee will return to you after it trades

Reduce only means the order you place will not bring you to net sell position, hence does not require margin
