I have a question on core principals of decentralization and design of dapps such as Helix. I just read a response from a user in telegram that appears to be deleted in there by the moderator but I think it was a good question. It comes down to decentralization principles. I am copying and pasting from the post that got deleted, "a core principle of the decentralized ethos is the idea of censorship resistance, meaning the application or service should be accessible to anyone, anywhere, without restriction. If a dApp or DeFi service implements geographical restrictions, including VPN restrictions, it could be seen as going against this ethos, even if the underlying infrastructure is decentralized.". What are your thoughts here? Should an app (whether it be front end or not) be advertised as a decentralized app when it restricts vpn usage and geographic location? Also keeping in mind that other decentralized exchanges that also advertise themselves as decentralized apps don't restrict vpn. usage and geographic location?

I find it disappointing that not one person from Helix/Inj Development/Design has responded to this question. It is an important one. In my view, so called decentralized apps that limit use of vpn and/or based on geographic location is not decentralized and shouldn't call themselves as such.

I'm not from the team, but I'll try to share some insights here. As you know, Injective is a decentralized blockchain that facilitates the creation of financial application, one of such being decentralized exchanges. Although Injective is completely decentralized, it is important to notice that dapps developers can choose to implement certain requirements and restrictions in their platforms to avoid being possibly target of legal actions by government agencies in several jurisdictions. This includes, in some cases, adding restrictions for users in some countries, or against the usage of VPN. By doing this, I agree that you can't say that a dapp is completely decentralized, and it is impossible for almost all dapps in the crypto industry to call themselves fully "decentralized" today. As long as they can be only accessible through a website, they are not fully decentralized, as this can be taken down quite easily.
This is where Injective is different from most of other solutions out there. While it is true that Helix can be blocked in certain countries, by using it, you're using the Injective blockchain, that doesn't have any limitation against any user. All your orders/positions/balance, etc are stored onchain, and you will always have access to them, no matter what happens with Helix. So, you can trade on Helix today, if they block your location for whatever reason, you can just start using any of the other dapps available (https://explorer.injective.network/featured-dapps/) and have access to the exact same features. So, I think this is the most important aspect about this, although some of the dapps might want to add their own rules, the blockchain where everything actually happens is and will always be fully decentralized.
