Breeding 1 male to 10 female rexes, I'm at 0/20 mutations on the mothers side and 18/20 on the fathers. This is all done in a single stat but for some reason every single time I hit the next mutation for stamina it is on the mothers side. Anyone know if that's super bad RNG or what could be the issue?

I have all my settings crazy on my server so I also have to kinda figure out what pertains and what is different.

I spawned in a bunch of level 1 rexes to try and get the hang of breeding, but no videos I've watched assume you'll capture a level 1 and use mutators to get 40 points each mutation.

I would suggest using the dino storage mod :P makes it so you can just hatch hundreds and easily sort the mutations.

Nitrado servers are pretty garbage. Even if you shut down your server, it shows it's shut down, you edit some values real quick and hit save and then start too quickly, the server breaks until you contact suppport.

I set a 5minute timer on my phone every time I alter the ini, save it, wait 5 minutes and then start it. Which is kinda stupid but my server stopped breaking once I did that.

No, I would hit stop, wait till it said the server had stopped. Edit the ini, save it, then hit start.

Since you know, there's no warning you have to wait 5-10minutes after making a value change or your server will explode and you'll need support to remedy it.

I haven't had an issue in the last 9 months since I found someone else complaining about that issue with Nitrado and their solution was to wait 5 minutes to start it back up after it says it stops.

You'd think the support team/company would put a disclaimer or force lockout for 5 minutes of server stop if it's such an issue but I guess they like reading support tickets.

(Xbox series S) my tames on Fjordur sometimes end up in the sky after a fight so I have to put trackers on them and fly all the way up when this happens to get them to fall to the ground but sometimes the trackers need to be put back on them. My server is private to myself and friends but this can get annoying easy especially if animals are going missing in the sky. Anyone else having this issue and know if Wild Card will be fixing this?

I had a Sino that had been high in the sky after I was timed out while fishing recently. I knew where it should have been and saw the green arrow in the sky from ground level. A whistle got it down. I don't know anything else.

and you can also create a "steam connect" link and post that straight up so people just instantly connect. You are not likely to get your unofficial server which has been online for only a few days, with little to no players, to the top of the in game list. There is likely an algorithm which takes the most populated or frequented unofficial servers and rotates through them to provide an optimal experience.
The solution is to have a better unofficial server or rely on the other methods available.

Honestly, all I can suggest is not playing on a non-dedicated session. They are pretty... not good, because unless you guys are LAN connected, it can be hard to connect to each other, with firewall issues.

you always need to ascend, max chibi, get all notes and runes to get all levels. if you change the max level it takes the final 85 levels for the ascension and other stuff.

Is a daily server restart needed? do official servers have daily restarts? Would a weekly restart be just as good?

I do a restart every morning for my unofficial, simply because it has mods and I want it updated 😂

Helps that most server hosts have an automatic restart timer setup

My cluster does a daily restart that includes a wild dino wipe so it keeps the server running smooth and refreshes the dino spawns so there are always lots of dinos in the realms.

I meant weight wise. you always use both ini and the stack mod to customize the stacks further 🤷 (as long as they say the IDs)

if you want 10k stone to be 100 but don't want meat to weigh nothing you have to use stack mods.

there are stack mods that change all weights equally and those don't matter but not all do.

Resources and food tend to be changed by stack mods, that's 99% of the point of them

Structures fair enough, though if people don't like carrying 20,000 stone to have an impact I dont see why they care about having to use a dino to hold their building mats

they differ in weights tho. they don't give resources and food the same multiplier.
I think its all about balancing. if you want to carry a ton of wood/stone/etc but want certain things like metal to be heavier its only possible with stack mods not weight stat changes. but like you said most of the still alive stack mods kinda change everything 🤷

I still would suggest using the ini as it allows customization but stack mods do have 1 advantage even if you don't make it.

if the stack mod gives the IDs it would also work (or use the global multiplier)
