I reccomend s+ structures, more tranq items, upgrade station, primal fear (very big mod, only use if you have experience with the original game first.), spoilers, super spyglass, craftable resources, and last but not least.... dino storage V2.

No idea about immersive i haevent remembered all the settings yet but server settings? if you have updated server settings i suggest adding a few extra levels or at leasst changing the point atribution levels

Incorrect. The same does not apply to Rafts/Motorboats (but does apply to dino saddle platforms).
We can extend the platforms on Skiffs in Single Player mode - so the functions DO indeed exist. I'm 92% sure there is a line in the server settings setup to allow it on unofficial servers - but its just unknown.

Well sadly I can inform you, Rag has broken spawns, CI and Center have 0 or like 2 spawns, and LI has maybe 2 places that have spawns spawning, but as rare as a unicorn.

A lot of things that are broken on prim can be fixed via ini/admin codes. But 0 spawns, even when coded in, just sucks.

To play almost any prim + map you need your main map, then a taming map...

And I wouldn't hold your breath 😓 WC left Prim+ alone and broken a long time ago. It's pretty much abandoned...

I just tried scorched earth on Prim + and it had all normal spawns, plus my custom ones as well as drops spawned and all that jazz but when I tried the Island map I only had drops spawning nothing else

I mean the question is way too large, first we need to know on which platform you want to create a server, then are you gonna run it on a dedicated pc, your playing pc or rent slots to a company, then you want to host 1 map a full cluster... I suggest finding the most related video for your situation on youtube. It's easier with the a visual than by writing about it.

Since in beacon you can do all your coding like auto unlock engrams and have it upload to your server for you. Best part is all the codes are up to date

By the way with the free version of beacon you will be able to do a lot of server configurations however some editors like auto unlock engrams is locked behind beacon omni, which is a 1 time purchase deal for $10.

Is highly recommend though if you want to code the server to how you want with 0 issues. Beacon will save you hours.

Does anyone have an explanation for this, I have 11 maps with an average of 120 players in total, every time this amount of player arrives, the server starts laggy, even with cpu at 70% of use.
Ping is from 150 to 180 with lags.

But as soon as it has less than 100 player on the server goes back to normal, it has no lags.
Does anyone know what can it be?

does anyone here have experience running a linux-based ark server at home?

i set it up on Ubuntu, turned off the firewall so no port blockages. i can connect to the server via LAN option but nobody can connect through my router. I have port forwarded 1024:65535 to that server so I don't think it's a port issue.

As far as I see there is a hard cap for inventory slots (300/600 idk) but all sources are from 2019 or earlier. I want to know if this is still the case. I couldnt find any mods or sites that says otherwise but maybe I didnt come across them.

Whenever my game starts crashing, the first thing I do is a File Integrity Check. It probably wouldn't hurt if you both did that. (Although it could take a while.) You might want to make sure both of your drivers are current, too. Video card, especially. And put your virus scanner and Windows in game mode (if applicable.)

My characters legs are broken. I can't move around normally anymore, it's like I'm always half stuck inside of some invisible collision.
Even when I fly around with my tek suit.
Tried dropping all my stuff. Restarting the game. Restarting my PC. Tried other maps - they're fine. Single Player is fine.
Tried going to empty parts of the map and reloading there. still happens. Running around with dinos works fine.
Just my main Ragnarok character legs. It's like I broke my ankle and now I'm stuck hobbling around.

So, Has anyone setup a new map since that big update? I put up a Gen 2 map, applied my usual settings and started it up. The issue is; I cant unlock any placed structures. Smithy's, fabricators, chem benches etc... There is no option to unlock.

Never seen this before. ForceAllStructureLocking=True doesnt work - and setting it to FALSE seems to have no effect as well.

Hello! I am setting up a server and I have a question. How do you make the Harvest Amount harvest a single resource instead of multiplying a bunch of resources? So like on official, lets say 5x you will harvest a bush and get narcoberry x5, so like 20 narcoberries. But when I change Harvest Amount it instead harvest resources 5x so I will end up getting 4 azul berries, 4 amur berries, 4 tinto berries, 4 narco berries, 4 stimberries, and 20 fiber.... I want resources harvested to be x5 instead of "rolling" berries 5 times... if that makes any sense?

Hi I have another question but I can't seem to find the answer on google. I'm setting up an "Oldschool" server. I remember they nerfed fishing like 5 years or so ago. I think they made it harder to catch bigger fish (used to catch 3.0+ fish) and reduced the loot quality from fishing. Does anyone remember how much they reduced Fishing Loot Quality by?

Nevermind... haha turns out asking questions when I think it is to people helps me ask google the question better.

Fishing was nerfed twice. 1st time was a 33% reduction to fishing loot qaulity, second "nerf" was a 20% increase to loot quality.

Problem is, I remember clearly that the second nerf where they "increased" quality still resulted in lower quality blueprints. So they changed something else in fishing that made it so you couldnt get op blueprints from fishing. Ive realized lately that some clusters I am able to level dinos faster then others, and by that I mean literally spending the skill points. I Use an auto clicker to do so and on some clusters itll take me 10 seconds to spend 50 skill points and on others I can spend 100 skill points in less then 3 seconds. Anyone happen to know what configuration or plugin it would be that effects this?

There is no real solution to the ini cheat dilemma, however there are ways / mods that can sort of help with that.
I don’t know the specific name of it, but I’ve ran into unofficial servers that forced players to complete some “captcha” style questions, like it would display certain words which you needed to type down upon joining. Using certain ini changes would make it impossible to see those displayed words and therefore kinda preventing the usage of some modifications to the ini.

Help needed, I own Ark on Epic Games Store and today I bought the genesis pass ( with genesis 1 & 2 ), I tried joining my friends server which is ran by Ark server manager, but it doesnt allow me to join, even though I can clearly see the server online. Its a game limitation, after a certain level a stat squish will happen and so say you get a dino with about 5mil hp, when you cryo it or restart it will be set back to 0, the same thing happens with the Breeding Evolved mod when you breed too strong of babies

Hi I am making a server and I want the XP that a player gets to be half, but the xp a dino gets to be full. The way I figured how to do this is to make custom dino xp, that is half the amount it normmally is. But I put in the code I got from a generator and it crashes the game when I log in.

two reasons I can think of. if you are only changing the max experience value. the levels themselves haven't changed so they want more which could crash it. the other one is when you edit dino levels you also have to put survivor levels there as they don't have separate settings. it loads the first for survivor then the second for dinos

If you mean something like a server crash then yes when it comes back up it should load whatever the most recent save was. On official it saves every 15 minutes. On unofficial, it depends on what the server admin has set up for the save frequency.

do you mean you're playing on an unofficial and it's shut down like out of server time? there's a short period of time the owner can renew it, then the data will be lost.

but if the server is just off, like it crashed or was shut down temporarily for edits or something, it should all be good when it boots back up. it'll restore the last save, provided the save file isn't corrupted. on xbox at least, server admin have no control over the save period. sometimes the saves are every 15 minutes, sometimes there isn't one for 4 hours, even though the 15 minute line is in the config.

Unofficial servers are always going to be subject to the whims of the person paying for or running the server. If he or she loses interest, the server probably doesn't stay up much longer. If the admin wants to change the server to a different map or wipe it and start from fresh, that's their choice. I'd make sure you get to know the person running the server and what their intentions are before investing a ton of time.

Hey guys, can someone help me with ark dedicated server?
Just downloaded the game to play with friends and tried to start non dedicated session. My friends always teleport to me if someone die from us and we can't move away from each other more than 200m

Soooo easy fix: Started dedicated server. I do not know how but when go to ARK HOST/Singleplayer and click HOST dedicated I run the server. Worked before a couple of days and we played The Island or whatever is called the main first ARK map.
Today just clicked Aberration (we wanted to try this map) and didn't changed anything else, nor deleted dedicated savedata (we want to play our old save on the other map later again)

Server tries to launch and get this error SteamSocketsOpenSource: gethostname failed ()
any ideas how to fix this? My fiends are not able to connect to the server.

IMPORTANT: I said easy fix above for the 200m restriction because hosting dedicated for me it's like non dedicated. I am not behind router and do not have to open port or shit like this. Then what might be the problem here if obviously it's not related to bad opened ports like every damn google topic refers to?

I would try downloading ASM (ark server manager) it might be a problem with your current server files.
otherwise try verifying ark to see if that fixes the issue.

How exactly does simple spawners work? I have it set to spawn Tropical crystal wyverns but when I hit "Force creature spawn" after applying all the settings and hitting save, nothing spawns

So me and a couple friends had an idea to make a medieval style primitive plus server with some roleplay aspects eg

We have our character-server stats set alot lower then usual to make the game harder and more grinding like a rpg game

We will have trade roles set up for players and they will have to complete curtain things to gain a reward. eg cook, hunter, herbalist ect.

Raids will have to be announced 24 hours in advance to give both sides a chance to get on and defend their player castle-fort

There will be no cave building and most dinos that Damage stone will be removed or untameable

Just curious if anyone would be interested in something like that??

I did yes, I had the server to auto unlock all engrams and disabled it and seemed to fix the issue, now I'm just righting script in the game.ini to autounlock the tekgrams

Colours will generally work (I don't think Ext chronichles or Arkeology were ever readded though), dinos like gachaclaus are generally removed after the event ends though and wont spawn when you enable the event

Thats odd, Gportal allows arkeology event but I have yet to start it up or anything so I don't know exactly what it does. So far from all I've seen from changing the events is the skin color. I was just really wondering if there was a limit to how many times you can activate a event for a unofficial server

It'll 'allow' it as far as it doesn't hurt if you stick it in the launch options. It actually working is another matter entirely

depends on the server's settings. since you're asking in unofficial discussion, i assume you're running a cluster. Set map difficulty to 5.0 and it'll be a 150 egg. Set to 10.0 and you'll have up to lvl 300 eggs.

It's usually way too many learnt engrams doing that, I'm glad it helped you after disabling the mod ^^

Ok can I make a server that only has pvp enables for s certain period of time

For example a server that is pve but then an in game event happens and the server is pvp for an hour or 2

Dedicated storage boxes issue looking for a resolution.

I am playing on a boosted unofficial server cluster, and they have an issue with Dedicated storage boxes, when you try to withdraw anything except "take all". An error message pops up stating "inventory limit reached" could this be a result of a stack size being to big? Could this be due to the weight being a higher number then a 32 bit integer? Or could this be due to an entirely different reason?
