I need help resizing spino and stego. Specifically those dinos, I can resize everything else. I work by creating a copy of a blueprint, not a child, creating a whole new creature and then retargeting the animations. The problem with these two dinos is that the stego and spino both have two animation blueprints, as opposed to only one with all other dinos. I use whichever the vanilla blueprint uses. Stego uses the impaling animation blueprint and spino the bipedal animation blueprint (as both these dinos received a TLC in the past).

I can make the stego use the impaling blueprint with most of its animations working by reparenting it to my copy of the original anim blueprint. However, it then cannot impale creatures. When I use just the original anim blueprint, it of course cannot impale either. Spino is even worse with the bipedal blueprint being fully incapable to becoming animated and the original quadrepedal blueprint causing the creature to become stuck should a player ever try to go into a bipedal stance.

When I go into the graph (with the animation functions) of the spino BP, I don't get any errors. Stego gives me one error, saying that aimoffset is referencing the original stego skeleton and not my copy. However, when I check my copy of aimoffset, it says it is referencing my skeleton. I cannot for the life of me fix this error, and I'm not even sure it's a cause of my issues.

Please, if anyone has resized these dinos before (using a copy of the character BP, NOT a child), would you be able to help me? I can always share screenshots as well, be it on steam or in discord. But I am having one hell of a time and it's incredibly frustrating!

It is necessary, as often when changing sizes dramatically, the rider socket gets moved into the wrong position. The only way to fix this is to tamper with the skeleton. It's also nice to have the full creature so that, in future, if I want to tweek a creature's abilities I can

Ah not sure then sorry, was going to suggest you could try buffing it instead and save having to work with the animations at all (at risk of not having done that myself to know if there's any reasons that wouldn't work/would have needed editing animations regardless)

Ok, I rent my own private server through gportal, jst playing with a small group of friends. We only have lost island as a server. And, I'm wanting to spawn tek striders In, which I know I can do, but I also know that you have to complete missions on gen2 to tame them, besides the resource needed.
So my question is, is there anyway to tame them without needed to do missions, without using admin codes.
Is there a way to spawn them, and tame them with the resource but bypass the whole mission requirement through coding?

Replace as in directly? Or just remove one, and then add the other seperately?

NPCReplacements is code that's supposed to let you replace A -> B but doesn't work to Add, only remove, 90% of the time. So if there's a section asking for a direct replacement, that's likely what Beacon is using there and it won't work. You'd have to add them with their own code

However, you'll get overspawns if you remove all the normal wyverns from the trench and add Crystal either way you do it

The wyvern trench containers are most likely set up to count only the normal wyverns. So if it sees no normal wyverns, it keeps trying to spawn shit. Even if there's already 3000 crystal ones in the trench

I'm not sure what nest tag normal wyverns use, it's possible that either ember and blood, or topical, would work. Tropical has a different one to ember and blood (at least last I checked) which is why they don't lay eggs on CI, so it'd be one or the other 2 if it did
Issue isn't related to eggs- It's that the spawner that'd spawn them would pretty much always think there's nothing inside it, and just keep spawning and spawning and spawning endlessly

Normally spawners count all dinos inside them to see if it needs to spawn more dinos. But wyvern spawners (and containers set to spawn only one dino) generally are set to count only the wyverns (/creature) that naturally spawns inside them for that. So if it sees no normal wyverns, it's empty, far as the spawner is concerned, and needs to spawn more

I can't say for certain that LI's wyvern containers are one such case until the devkit is out, but if it's followed how wyvern spawners generally are, that's probably the case

Hello everyone, i hope somebody can help me:

ive set up a dedicated server and played on it with a friend. we've got mods installed and everything worked, but today he has been having problems joining. even an incorrect password doesnt get a response, it just times out. he can see the server, the current day and all that stuff in his server list since he added it to his favorites via steam>view>servers. nothing really changed, same mods, they also didnt get updates. i tried updating the server via steamcmd but it says its up to date (version 342.13) i myself can still join. ports are forwarded and i dont know what to do anymore. i can see that the official servers are on 342.15 but since i can join, it doesnt let me update, and we played on this version before i dont know what to do. are there any logs that could tell me what the problem is ?

I've got a cluster running a handful of maps - we have our dino level set to 200.

Now, with Lost Island, we've seen the bug where our Rex's and such are spawning at absurd levels (900+).

I'm curious onto how other server admins would handle this situation.

Do you roll the entire map back? Do you let it go? Do you roll the entire cluster (every map) back? More looking for general advice on how you'd handle the situation after members have now obtained dinos that are almost 5x the server limit.

Yeah, I saw it. Appreciate the response, just looking for additional. Having a pretty large discussion with my staff about this, would like to get more thoughts.

Part of it goes; the level doesn't matter as it's PvE - However, now we have someone that can easily breed and create this massive boss kit to eliminate every boss with ease. This makes them advance and build at such a higher rate than everyone else. Is it fair? Some say yes, some say no.

The other option is the roll the cluster back, but if we get in the habit of rolling back for every bug Wildcard has, then as you know, we'd be rolling back every single week.

Yeah, I'd agree. However, now what do we do with this person who essentially wants to just pass out these huge dinos to everyone. Ruins the fun for some that want to work/grind and earn the advancements.

Sure, we could even neuter the creature but cloning goes around that on our Cluster and then we're in the bucket of swapping mechanics all for a few dinos/error.

I really would love to help try and solve the issue if I’m able. As a cluster owner myself, the last thing I’d want is to have issues for my players. It falls on our shoulders in their eyes for most issues and not having a fix for something that greatly impacts play is frustrating.

Hi all. I’m new to the game less than a week. I played on a good boosted server but it got reset after 3/4 days and I had to start again.
Then I joined another but was too much, didn’t cost anything to craft and wild dinos all 5/600.
I’m gonna rent one of them servers to play in so it don’t get wiped.
Was wondering if someone could tell me good rates to set the game at but still get the real feel of the game without it being too much. I don’t want it to be such a grind to learn the game.
I will be playing on genesis part 1 map.

That’s a long long list of settings 😂 I rent my servers through nitrado and use the Beacon app on my computer to implement the settings I want. It writes the ini code and deploys the changes to my nitrado servers for me. It is set as base pvp settings when you choose a map. Nitrado has basic options on their end to choose but I like the ease of beacons app since it’s more detailed and I can customize things easier there.

It’s to help with server performance. You’d choose your game, your location for the server to be based from (in your case it would be Germany then), and then how many slots you want.

Once rented, you can go in and choose the map you want that server to be and add settings from there

Yep you can, you can even replace it with another creature ie replace rexes with dodos.

There are 2 ways to do it you can use an outdated website (not being updated since extinction so 2018) called nipro to remove some creatures or if you have access to beacon omni which is a pc program you can do the creature removal/replacements there @calm mulch

With this nipro site all you need to do is select the creatures you do not want to spawn, generate the code and then post it in your game.ini.

Make sure to do a dino wipe to remove the previous ones Spawned

I play on PC but I think you go to the obelisk and upload whatever gear and dinos you want to bring to the next server, then upload your character (have to upload armor and saddles and everything separately in the data tab) then if you switch your server to the next map then when you start, instead of creating a new character you should have the option to download your old character. You will spawn in naked but with your levels and engrams intact. Then you can head to an obelisk (if you are in a non-dedicated session) or an obelisk or loot drop on a server, to download your gear from data and your dinos from the creatures tab.

When you upload stuff it is saved locally, rather than with the map. So after switching the map, you can download the stuff to the new map.

I would definitely recommend it if you haven't. Its an app for your computer that you can download and it links to nitrado to adjust your settings on the server in an easier way. It writes your ini code for you while you input your options and then you can stop your server, deploy the settings, and restart server from the beacon app.

It will also tell you if any of the changes could have an issue.

you need to add BabyImprintAmountMultiplier to game.ini for amount per cuddle boost. If you changed BabyImprintingStatScaleMultiplier that just boosts the boost that imprint gives them

looking for some Help with mods
one of my maps on my cluster doesnt let anyone place structures from 3 mods, you can craft all items craftable in inventory just not place them.
i did a clean reinstall of all 3 mods, didnt help
i put up the same mods with the same settings on my test server and it worked just fine.
i then moved the map to another machine and it still didnt work.
i am out of ideas i could use some help

Can some explain to me why this is
I’m playing on a cluster and max lvl for donation players is 1500 and and almost everyone of them are broken in 1 stat or more, I can go to single player and spawn in hundreds of 1500s and only a few will be broken. Is the admins doing something wrong or is it just another broken piece of “ark”
Or can something like this be done on purpose?? Pls and ty

your single player 'server' doesn't reset/reboot, so it never looks at the stat point caps and resets them. 1500 is almost guaranteed to have a broken stat. 1499 points over 7 stats (6 for flyers) = 214 average points (250 for flyers). Once you hit 255 and do anything like reboot server, transfer tame, or cryo it, the stat rolls over.

That's my understanding of the process both from reading and experience.

has anyone here built a cluster with linuxgsm? im using centOS and can get the first three started to show up in steams list, but currently 5 are running in their own tmux sessions. using ports 7777-7786, skipped 27020 to 27050 because apparently something theyre steams ports so query ports 27015,27017,27019,27051,27053 and rcon ports 27060-27068 skipping one between. but even with firewall off i can only get the first three to list

Then its better they just stop supporting Unofficial servers totally. Instead we are running unpatched, glitched servers. Should ruin the game experience for new ARK players and in the end give new players a bad experience about ARK as a Game. Can no be good for the affair in the end.

we arent that far behind 342.17 has been out for awhile and on steam just fine, I know 342.20 just came out yesterday but not sure why they dont publish it to steam at the same time they patch their own official servers

Im trying to join a modde pve server called FoppasGaming, I could join it once. But then it crashed without a msg. Now it crashed everytime i try to join. This is the first part of the crash msg.

Does someone know a Mod that lets you transfer Tributes and Trophys. We tried "TributTransfer" and "Tribute and Element Transfer" both of them caused Buffer Overflows for every player, with mindwipe, ssd or any other solution for buffer overlow.

Good evening, I just started an unofficial PVP cluster hosted on Nitrado and have noticed that on the Valguero map people are not able to build in button cave. I have scoured the net for possible reasons and config settings

I currently have the following recommended setting

So, an admin spawned the Alpha Dinopithicus on Lost Island and its invisible. It got force tamed and is still invisible. I tried AOEKILL on the area to kill it for him and its still there. How can i get rid of it?
