server not popping up
can take like 10-15 mins for nitrado servers to show up once there started .
also check in the filters at top you have it set to all, not pve or pvp,
also in filters tick or untick passworded protected depending if set one or not
so just have the one thing disabled not pve/pvp

hello, a friend and me want to play on non dedicated but the option to change the tether distance in the menu is missing (i looked at rules but its not there), am i blind or am i missing something myself?
remove them all for now, get the server to boot an start up an run for atleast 20 mins, then see about ading them, one at a time if need be .
I leave them for a full hour before ever touching them. If you do there is a chance it will reboot forever.
funniest thing out that list id suspect its ark love ascended causing the issue lmao

these two lines in game.ini make it so , each level added is 100 (10 x the default 10)
player for player stats ,
dinotamed for dino stats
so change the = part to 20 if you want 200 per level like this ,

wait for the server to be stable an running for while like we said before , then shut it down , wait 5 mins, add the lines to game.ini

yea , no not really gonna work, most people have there servers have locked from downloads or in a cluster id now

prob be ok , 6 core 12 thread modern cpu likely do 4 or so smaller server no problem. hard to judge as , mods, player count amount built on them etc all add extra useage

Unless you mean favorites on Steam, if ppl are getting lost doing that, then you are getting full on Ark newbies and that cant be helped. Best to just make a help channel and create a step by step guide on how to find the map and save it in your Steam server favorites.

We have a nitrado pvp server and we have 3 notable problems I was hoping to get help with. 1) after each log out and log back in, tribe mates are removed from tribe and the dinos that they tames are gone. Like not even in log. 2) was messed killed when Noone was on server. 3) restoing back up did nothing at all. Didn't roll back the server or restore inventory or undo buildings or return lost dinos. Super frustrated. Please help.
How much do you all pay monthly for a private server? Nitrado says it requires 26 slots to run but the packages are 20 slots and it's price is in euros.

Change your region to get Us dollar prices. Is around $17 for a 30 day sub, 20 slots.
But, the site says it takes 26 slots because of ur 5. So, I have to buy 2 bundles?
are you on the Nitrado app or the site? Cuz I'm only seeing one price when I go to the custom order page.
You can scale from 20 slots and up, and also the length of time
Hint: on the right side of the main Ark order page is a Customize Server button. Click that.
Also be sure you choose a server thats close to your location and not one thats across the country lol.

Rule number one: dont touch your map for the first hour.
Rule number two: wait 5 minutes after it tells you a map is started or stopped BEFORE making changes. Cuz the interface can lie to you lol.
Rule number three: dont save any changes without taking the map fully down first.

OK I've searched threads with no luck how do you recover a lost character on unofficial and before its stated I am server owner
easiest way is to load full server backup to before the charchter was lost

I dont think it uses quotes. I would try it both ways. Note that the url lists only work on pc only clusters. Crossplay is messed up due to too many filters.

Yeah if you are crossplay i wouldnt bother tbh. Till WC removes the MS and Sony filters nothing you do will help.
Shutdown and only add one. If it loads, then shutdown and add the next one.

the mods are cat ears and ride a dodo they're both cosmetic mods if that means anything
Some are broken right now but i noticed the broken cosmetics dont break your map, they just dont work atm. They will likely get fixed next week. Id try them again in a couple days.

Does the ASE server require AVX2? The server refuses to run on my 3930k, and I have to run it on my laptop instead with a 4700HQ.

asa has some option in general now to use official dynamic config files , make sure thats disabled .
also when shutting down server wait atleast 5 mins before making chnages, do the change , save it wait a minute b4 restarting
some mods are still broken i believe, can try reinstalling them , might possibly maybe help

Reinstalling prob wont help. Ark released new packaging tools for mods. If mods are not repackaged using the new tool released a couple days ago then they will not work.

Looking for help on ASE, Abberation in particular. Everytime a player drops their inventory in a bag, the bag isn't there. Like it never existed. No bag, nothing. Is there a setting I am missing?

Check your bag timer settings. Hold on I'll look it up. I'm guessing its zeroed out.

I set the spoil timers pretty high, but we have 2 maps, Fjordur and Abberation. When someone drops their bags on both, there's nothing there.

Scales the decomposition time of dropped items, loot bags etc. globally. Higher values prolong the time.
I have that set at uh

But the bags and dino bags from being dropped are not there.

sometimes with ark if you go over alimit thats no one really knows it defaults to 0

try using under 1 value... Sometimes ark take multiplier like x2, sometimes like divided by 0.5

They go to drop the bag and there's nothing there. Like it just deletes everything.

Are you using Beacon? And are you fully shutting down the map?

Then restart
Cuz the maps always lie to you and say they are shutdown when they arent and then they dont take changes.
Cuz most changes cannot be done live, if the map is still running in anyway, it wont save.
I shut them down, and just noticed that they still show up in the server list.
So, in that case the changes probably aren't taking.
ASE isnt really supported anymore so you shouldnt be getting updates that would break this either.
I have no idea what else would cause that.
ok guys. I need help. I know this isn't the right place but I'm out of options. My nitrado server has been stuck in a restart loop for three weeks. I've submit 2 support tickets and haven't gotten a response to either of. I've read the forums, asked for help in the discord and watched dozens of youtube "fixes". and stil it's in a restart loop. someone please help.
Did you remove all mods and see if that fixes it?

Then somthing in your config is messed up or nintrado has a faulty server VM.
Delete your config and boot it to generate a default config.
Once it boot one time to generate default configs then change options one by one till it occurs again to identify the faulty option.
Could be something simple as a symbol in the name or a missing ";" somewhere in the config.
Nintra is probably in the hot seat right now because they killed ever modded server for a week. What kind of response did they send to the tickets?
Ok well yeah, then complete the steps above to get it fixed up.
I will do my best.
If you still cant get it working then ask for a refund and try again in a few weeks.

Use the FTP to manually delete or the nintro GUI should have options to wipe.
Understandable, doing your own server on a host is no easy feat for those who dont have some sort of IT server hosting experience.
I mean I learned fairly quick and I'm sure if I had my own equipment at home I could learn to host. I catch on quick enough and there are plenty of resources to get me started but I just can't afford it if i'm being honest

Well I'm on a laptop I got for school and Idt it will run very much. I play on Xbox
give it a try if you have 16bg of memory it could be ok. No need for a super video card since a server dont use it.
I have an older pc in my closet with windows 10 on it. but it hasn't been powered on in like 5 years
It will be far more difficult for you to host on a PC at home than use a hosted service.
You will have to know about windows firewalls, and router port forwarding. Not to mention batch file creation for launching the server.
the hardest part is to configure the firewall (windows and router) once those done the software (Beacon) can help alot
Most of that is handled with the hosted services with simple GUI input

If you are jumping mod maps and both have totally different mods, there isnt much you can do about that. If they are on the same cluster, they need to pick a lane lol. Cuz you cant have everything. Its either one mod map or none - else its just removing and reinstalling the mod maps over and over again.

yep, thats the way it is. Mod maps are huge and unless you remove the other mods and only have the map mods, this is how it has to be.
You likely only have 10 gigs of mod space.
If one map has 5 gigs of mods and a 3 gig map mod (= 8 gigs)
and another map has the same 5 gigs of mods and a DIFFERENT 3 gig map mod (also = 8 gigs)
Then you gotta remove one for the other every single time. Its a physics issue, both maps cant occupy the same space lmao.
Anyone with cluster knowledge (Rather coding for the maps) could you please DM me. My private map, hosted by Nitrado, doesn't have player loot bags, like how you drop your inventory and there's a bag, well mine doesn't and I'm starting to stress out over it because I can't find the setting.

Definately look at the mod sizes. Some are INSANELY large for what they provide. Those need optimization and if they arent being worked on to do this I'd just kick them to the curb.

Id just start telling them that until you figure this out, dont drop your bag. Drop items into a box or tame. But if those settings arent changing things I dont know what the issue is.

have someone double check it, its so easy to get duplicate settings or one just off etc ..
copy paste into notepad file so it .txt an use ctrl f to search
If you are using just Beacon, and not adding/subtracting settings outside of Beacon, it should be fine.
But if this isnt working I'd be deep diving my inis looking for duplicates too.
Hey folks , have any of you noticed gasoline going missing in your generator over time ?
I am not sure if its the stacking setting causing it, but mine is set to be able to stack 5k

I put enough gaso in for 300+ days, logged in the other day it only had about 200.
Then I bumped it to 1000 last week and today it only has 90
It seems since the last patch note where they improved dino eating algorithms. Not sure if this is a new bug or something
Another thing I noticed, I allow setting to stack hide to 1000. I noticed my vault had many slots revert to default 200 per stack.
This can happen if your map lost its ini setting for a bit, that would cause the stack to revert to official and eat the rest. So it would have shrunk each stack permanently.
Or your FuelConsumptionIntervalMultiplier reset somehow.
I'm betting the setting got lost and it got eaten tho.
Yeah its super weird, ive used the ConfigOverrideItemMaxQuantity for stacking since ASE and never noticed this.
Will put some gaso in a box stacked and monitor it to see if its the stacking or the generator 😕
Does anyone know if there's a config line I have to put in to get the Custom Structure Skins to work on Nitrado private servers? It's still showing as "not yet usable" and I can't seem to install mods that use it. They just don't show up.

Some of the cosmetic mods got busted with that last update, so they wont work atm regardless.
You do need to add the mod numbers via an ini entry that points to an http (not secured socket) site with a text file that lists them out.
The approved list can be modified by modifying the following option in GameUserSettings.ini
[ServerSettings]
CosmeticWhitelistOverride="URL" <- add the path to your URL here
kinda weird, but from what i told, that line makes it use the official list
for custom list you need your own web link
so if I actually use "URL" it'll point ot the official one? that's weird, but I'll try it first

clustering is easy enough, but its still buggy asf , wc side , they got do something about the map not always taking player id to its save after transfer
btw here is the results of my transfer testing so far:
Transfers work but there are a couple issues.
They work fine if EVERYTHING is enabled. But there is this:
No blocking items or tames etc. If you block items or tames you get transfer errors (you are carrying items that cannot be transferred to this server, please drop items... etc. On naked characters)
Meaning everything needs to be false here:
notributedownloads=false <--- verified correct for ASA
PreventDownloadDinos=False
PreventDownloadItems=False
PreventDownloadSurvivors=False
PreventUploadDinos=False
PreventUploadItems=False
PreventUploadSurvivors=False
If any of these are set to true, you get the error telling you to drop items.
Also, DO NOT use the upload tabs for anything perishable. It will eat:
- Eggs, especially fert eggs
it spoils away some from stacks, if your stack is large you will only be missing a few. If it is small you may lose the whole stack. - Recipes, especially unstacked
- pretty much anything with timer is effected
If you transfer these items on your body you are fine and will go thru with no issues with a complete inventory. The perishable issues seem to only apply to uploaded items into the obelisk inventory tab.

Yeah i self host, my directory is owned by a steam user. Do you just set the two ini files as readonly before starting up the server and that is sufficient ?
oh ermm , how you seeting serve rup, through the steam app, or through stmcmd?
I use linux , so steamcmd for setup, i create an unprivileged user as steam so it does not run as root , what I do is copy my ini files to the expected directory before server starts , so i keep my original ini somewhere else
Then i give steam user full ownership of the game server directory.
I have seen folk recommend to set ini as read only as the server tends to mess with them. Thats kind of why i keep a copy elsewhere as source of truth and then cp them across to the target folder on every startup
actually shudnt matter , set them as read only in properties with the server stopped,
just remeber that you did that if u ever want make changes, as you will have change back to read an write
too alter them
ah sry i have no idea on linux commands, but id assume there is one to make a file read only
yeah i just give full ownership to steam on the entire game directory.

In Nitrado the game likes to reset our settings as well. Glad we arent alone.
But the clue is usually when all our stacks flip to official.
It kind of makes sense that the server messing with the ini is a root cause. as I noticed my 1000 stacked hide going back to 200 before

Each map will need to be a separate dedicated instance. Not VM, but the VM must have resources for running multiple maps.

Crystal Isles/Ragnarok is not available on ASA, either as a mod or an official map. Nor is the dino mod for Crystal Isles, which is why they said you're on Ark Survival Evolved (ASE).

At this rate, I'll pay someone to come code my two maps for me so that way I know I'm doing them right. I hate that I can't get it right, and I tried wiping one to see if maybe taking it back to it's original settings would work and now it's stuck in an infinite loop of restarting.
boot loops is just one those things, 9 out 10 its not an ini issue just mods or a corrupt save ,
no need to pay ,
1 - ask or google whats the problem
2- i highly recomed beacon ark omni to help with ini settings
3- if u get really stuck , dm me the ini files , preferably copied into noted pad an as a .txt file , i will look over them see if anything weird for free,
but it might take 12 hours or so for a response , if im at work, sleeping etc

cool. it's mostly a Q around, is it possible at all to make ASE run on a LAN only, with no WAN connection. it maybe as simple as it won't work without the WAN, and if that's the case then so be it. but I really want it working without the WAN, on a separate LAN.
so far I've not been able to make it work proper with the modem turned off. my modem and router are separate hardware pieces so really all the modem does is open the WAN connection.

Depends on what your adding. However, bottom of the file if the command doesnt fit in any current cat's on the file

my best guess is you have the ip adress or port wrong, look the server name up on battlemetrics website and it wtll show the ip an port its using

yes but right now its if you have the stat you want on your dino. if your best tamed stat is oxygen, then your feathers are gonna be oxygen only.

@manic marsh sorry for the tag, especially cause I am unsure if you are the right person to contact, but this is somehow mod related. I am trying to host a SOTF tournament and set up a modded server on my root and so far it works fine. I can not change the options from GameUSerSettings.ini to i.e. set the tribe size. I followed the wiki and currently have this in my gus.ini:

Can you at least point me in some direction where to look? This would be really awesome
Can someone who has custom cosmetics working on unofficial DM me. Or answer here if you have the quick answer....I havent added anything to my config yet so my understanding was that it would match official. However when I right click on the custom cosmetic slot I dont even get the Custom Cosmetic option on the list the last menu item is split stack. Do unofficials have to maintain their own whitelist or can they somehow opt into officials? For clarification Ive added no config allowing or denying Ive just installed the mod on the client and tried to use them.
The approved list can be modified by modifying the following option in GameUserSettings.ini under the this header thats already there

No idea of you've found an answer or even if what I'm about to say is what ya looking for haha. There's a section up top in your inventory under the c for crafting, that looks like an eye. That's where I find the custom stuff. It's all filtered and stuff. Using it from the cosmetic tab is ass and hard to use.
just leaving "URL" not gonna do anything. gotta add a proper path or url address to txt file with mods id. found this guide:
1: Open GameUserSettings.ini 2: add this line to the GUS.ini file: CosmeticWhitelistOverride="Your-Site.TLD/Path/To/CustomCosmeticsWhiteList/file.txt"(perhaps it also works with file path, haven't tested) 3: Inside this file.txt you add the Project IDs of the Custom Cosmetics you want to add, in this case it is 975527 4: Make sure to save both files and restart your server; from now on you should be able to add new custom cosmetics to file.txt without having to restart your server

I added the official URL to my gus.ini now and when logged in I can see icons for custom cosmetics (player, dino and structure) but how can I use a cosmetic from one of the mods?

I have all the cosmetic mods installed that are allowed on official, have a complete set of armor and still only have generic icons. I tried right clicking but I can only equip i.e. the armor icon, not applying it to my flak chestpiece. When equipping it there is nothing visible

no, i just have a couple test servers on my pc that i was playing with , getting ready for when more maps out etc .
try leaving it with just the letters url, i presume this wud make it ignore looking for the list . Thats how someone else told me to make it work, i havent tested it .
The other way wud to test is to just point at a .txt file in the drive and add the mod ids in seperate lines like you wud with admin whitelisting etc

If you can see the corpse, just use cheat destroymytarget
if you want to clean your server : in the saved games folder, delete all profiles that arent active. You need to know the id of the active one...
On a server where we have the island, we put the Svartalfheim map in cluster. The next day about 6 users logged in... even on the island... it went out to create a character... (with the character physically in its base) does anyone have an idea?? thank you

Hello, I'm not able to configure my server because Nitrado's web panel is missing some of the launch options. I tried to open 2 tickets: In the the first one they did not understand what I was asking for and in second one they just told me these launch options are not supported yet.
These are the launch options I need to configure my server:
"-AutoDestroyStructures"
"-culture=<LANG>" (it's set to English, without possibility to change it)
"-NoTransferFromFiltering" ✅ (this one they finally added it! I saw that this morning)
Also having these launch options would be nice (I just think they are less important so that can wait):
"-DisableCustomCosmetics"
"-UseDynamicConfig"
"-CustomNotificationURL=<URL>"
"-NoWildBabies"

The more mods we add the fewer points we have to go around
this option might corrupt the save and i dont want this to happen
There is a config option called OverridePlayerLevelEngramPoints , not sure its available for ASA, but you can specify the points to gain per level.
Example: You need this line per level. (More info in Ark WIKI)
OverridePlayerLevelEngramPoints=5 #gives 5 points at level 1
OverridePlayerLevelEngramPoints=10 #gives 10 points at level 2
That may help give little more points per level than official so you can unlock more things etc.

The ark wiki has all server options and tick box for compatibility between ASA and ASE
Some options are still marked as ? for ASA but it does work, so may be worth a test if you can spin up a quick throwaway server

The server ASA i have with 23 mods is having a weird issue with the ram, when there is no players the ram increases slowly until riches max and it gets stuck at:

I am interested in hearing if there is any answer to the question above me too. Buy I also want to ask how well I can host a server assuming I am using a router rather than fiberconverter directly but I cannot use static IP due to my ISP not providing it as a service to private persons. Can I just skip it or how does it affect my hosting capabilities. Would I have to restart the server each time the ip refreshes? I will look at my router some more because it did mention something that sounded like static ip but it does confuse me if it is something the ISP is supposed to hand me rather than a toggle setting in the router.
ASA server generally uses between 6-10GB and remains there. If it's constantly increasing it sounds like a mod has a memory leak more than likely
I think i found what is causing the issue, looks like the Human NPC mod had no limit to spawning villagers now i set it to 200 so i will see if that change anything 🤓

Has anyone else experienced that loot crates in caves does'nt spawn after the latest update? Im on a unofficial server. Also another thing I noticed just now as I logged in was that my Gigantoraptors is not adult as they should be, they're just at 40%. Im on a rented Nitrado server and never had this issue before. Almost seems like the server has been in a complete stasis over the night. It has been up and running.
the only time ive seen loot crates acting up is if the setting to enable random ones is used .
brandomsupplycrates=true iirc in the ini , not sure if nitrado has a tick box option for them in general settings !!

Ok ty, I dont have this setting brandomsupplycrates=true in any of my .ini files so as long as it is not a newly added standard feature on nitrado servers it should not be on.

I guess that could be possible, I think I need to monitor this peticular issue a couple of days to check. Its almost as the server was in hibernation otherwise and hibernation should not be a server thing unless Nitrado is experiementing with server performance.
Yeah in single player everthing shuts down when you close the game as it should. Exactly as you say that is one of the reasons to play on a server in the first place to make progress even when you're not online. If this is not a 1 time issue I would not be surprised at all if its Nitrado trying to pack in more servers on the hardware they use by lowering the server performance of the servers that are up right now.
Hmm, don't know actually, I have'nt tampered with anything stasis related so unless Nitrado or Wildcard has made some changes without announcing it, it should not be that either.

I've got a server I'm hosting, but when I launch the server I get the nasty error Error querying server mods: ApiError: Failed (serverUnreachable)
If I remove the mods list from my .bat file and start the server, things work fine, but the moment I add even a single mod, no matter which one, I get the same error.

in there is prob two folders, mods and modsuserdata
delete both , then add 1 mod using the start parameter
-mods=xxxxx
where xxxx is the mod id u wish to add .

They must also have the settings correct for each server ,

yeah whats weird is the ob will only show one character, but you know there are 2 there. Its just a really weird bug.

an interesting test wud be to move the broken .arkprofile from the cluster directory , into the map save folder .
This in theory wud let them download a char , once loading the map there .arkprofile is saved on .

As odd as this is going to sound..... I was running my server on a laptop via WiFi. It was running flawlessly for days. Decided to move it into the room where the router is and provide it with a dedicated wired connection to the router. After connecting it via wired connection, that's when things went sideways. For testing, I unpluged the ethernet cable and tried again and viola....back up and running. Makes zero sense to me, but hey...if it works, it works.

shud be fine on that , heres a list of things to try ,
try these things one at a time and test to see if it helps
rtx stuff on is a common one(dlss,framegeneration etc), so turn it all off
disablemenutransition setting, turn it on, is off by default
disable hlod setting, turn it on
lock fps to monitor fps(hz)
foilage interaction setting, turn off (can cause little floating rocks though 😦 )
also can try this command in game, ark.vertexcountscaling 1

for sure the ip was change. But you can fixe it on the ethernet card at the value it was on the wireless
it dont really matter if the port forward is done right, for asa only need to allow the one udp port used to make it work , default udp7777

if you plug the cable make sur you disable the wireless it will help
I'd moved the port forwarding to the new IP once it was assigned. Again, the odd thing about it was, I could remove the mods from the bat file and the server would run, but the moment I added the mods, the server would fail and say the Mod Server was Unreachable. Just bizarre.
did you disabled the wifi, juste in case because if both where actif at the same time the routing could be disrupted
If I download the Saved folder from my Nitrado server, will I be able to restore it by replacing it in a new one?
normaly the saved folder conaint everything you need, (maps, player, tribes saves, config file and cluster file)
so moving it from server to server transport everything. Just make sure you didnt use a folder redirect options (for the map and the cluser file)

I hear ya. Been really frustrated with hosting ASA servers. Much worse than ADE even, and if you're not using Nitrado, it's even worse. I don't use Nitrado btw.

It's the setting "NoTributeDownloads" If this is set to False it breaks it.
if you dont want to filter, just leave it to "URL" it default to accepting all cosmetics

ok... just to make sure I understand proper; on the server, you have to specific the modID's for the custom cosmetics (as well as any other mods/maps) for them to work to start with? if so, why is there a whitelist? I just kind of assumed (bad I know) that you didn't have to load the custom cosmetic mods on the server, that it was a client side thing, and the server whitelisted which ones the clients could use.
probably client can bring their own personnalisation so probably you are right saying client can bring their own...
your assumption is correct the custom cosmetics are client side , server has them auto activated .
what you can do is change what list it uses for allowed cosmetic mods
or disable with a server start command

all the ports are forwarded and firewall ,the server works with ase but just doesnt work with asa,it shows up on the server list and everythig
for asa server to work it just needs the udp port forwarded through router/switches etc and inbound firewall exception, also through any anti virus you might be using. default is udp7777 unless you tell it otherwise using start command -port=xxxx

Steam has a much lower playerbase atm so this is expected tbh.
the majority of players still on ASE are playing singleplayer or private servers. public unofficials players are going to be way too spread out.
Are you running the server on the same PC as your game? It needs different ports of so, the game will grab 7777

There are typically ini settings equivalents that you can use instead. Lack of startup bat file access from hosted services is common.

Was Curseforge down at the time? It is subject to internet outages as we all are. As well as slow net speeds causing timeouts.
Selfhost needs a bunch of ports open. Um, someone will be along that knows the ports. Im more on the Nitrato hosted side of help.

asa server to show up an be joinable , only needs a udp port open, through router /switches etc, any antivirus software and inbound on windows firewall , the default is 7777udp
can be changed with -port=xxxx , where xxxx is the port number u wish to use .
If it its not booting becuase mod issues, delete the mods folder, remove the mods from the start command (-mods=modid,modid,modid)
then try again, you need to get it booting clean before anything else and on the latest server version V35.xx

We're currently trying to set up a cluster with Svartalfheim (PC only) to our Island Server (Crossplay), hosted on our Root-Server. Unfortunately, we can't download characters. W're uploading them on the Island, travel to Svartalfheim and try to Dawnload/spawn them. But instead of spawning the Characters, we're directed to the window for creating a new Character.
Specific Up- & Downloads are granted ... any ideas, what we might missed?

they will likely need to use a shared cluster folder , if there running in seperate folders , using -clusterdiroverride= xxxxxxxxxxxxx
where both point to the same folder/directory location on the root server

We have created a new Folder and used it at clusterdiroverride, but no content was saved to that created folder, nor the both server sided folders. Have we missed something?
When trying to travel, we can chose a spawning area, now waiting with a greyed out "Downloading" button, but nothing happens
if its on a windows server, it shud create the folder for you at the adress you tell it when you transfer . both servers need the same adress for the folder

btw if this is seen randomly, i noticed the game doesnt like to have more than one character in the obelisk. It can decide to not let you download any character at that point. So best to tell ppl to not store them there. You tend to lose both.

That effects all baby imprinting, but not cravings. Bug cravings are a completely different set of mechanics.

stop the server, wait 5 minutes, make a backup, unisntall reinstall, restart watch if it work, if no restore the backup

Stop the server, WAIT 5 FULL MINUTES, remove the mod, SAVE, readd the mod, SAVE. Then start your map back up.

What I'm finding is that when you have low memory the game doesn't do the debris for structures and nodes the xbox s vs the x. So this is kind of where my knowledge hits a wall. I'm sure you could run a command to change your Clients setting kind of how you can turn off grass. But idk how to find that quickly

this is normal, i also think that the servers are affected by the evo event on weekend. I always get better stuff when an evo x2 is on
Non dedicated server multiplayer, modded, anyone who isnt host can't placed modded items down. Modded items are fine however. Engrams cant be unlocked either for non host as it's -99999999 points etc.

officials use item stat clamps, the wiki has the info on it , i cant rem them off top my head , but search for them an they come up

Is anyone else having issues with transfers? I have mine set up to not allow item transfers. It was working around 2 yesterday from what I was told but by the evening time I kept getting an error message telling me transfers aren't allowed but only thing on me was the implant . I really don't wanna allow item uploads as it's a pve server to pvp. But I don't know what else to do

I run a couple of ASA clusters, one with Crossplay Svartalfheim and one with PC Only Svartalfheim, and haven't had the issue. I assume you added a matching clusterid parameter to each game server.
-clusterid=Whatever123 needs to be in the Commandline
This is a known bug with disabled item transfers. Not much we can do about it really, but the issue will disappear if you enable all transfers (character, item and creature). We do not have an eta on a fix.
Disable max difficulty and do a dino wipe. You will see 5s there after.
Ahh fiddle, I guess for now I'll see if I can disable item downloads to the pvp and re-enable item uploads on the pve side of things
This may still cause the issue. It seems to occur whenever anything is disabled, it stops character transfers. Unless that got patched anyway.

My apologies for delayed response. That is what I meant. The decay is best used so we do NOT have to manually remove and clear up space and resources off the map. Crazy this is not fixed..
Thanks for your answer. Yes, I have that command set. The thing is that from time to time, when entering the game, it tells us to create a new PJ. (the old PJ is still there sleeping on the map) it's pretty random. And it happened to us a few days ago that we put on Svartalfheim. We change maps with the PJ... all good, but from time to time... it no longer lets you, and forces you to create new PJ. It has happened to all users before or after.

We just wanted to setup Servertransfer with only Characters are able to transfer. no items, no dinos. So we only set preventcharacterupload and preventcharacterdownload to false, rest is true.
We stand at obelisk and want to travel, but game says, "Items not allowed - The Server you are currently on doesn't allow transferring items. Drop your items and try again."
Our Inv is empty, we already killed ourselfs to clear, and used the "ClearPlayerInventory" cheat at console. But nothing works.

for custom supply crate configs, do "MinNumItems" and "MaxNumItems" control the total quantity of whats in the crate? or the amount of entries at once?
its been a while since i redid loot crates , but from memory its the items in each set that can be included in the drop
im trying to make a custom supply crate that gives all 9 entries 100% of the time, (50x congealed gas ball, 50 blood pack, etc)
i tried using beacon, but the mod i had wasnt there
so if u have a set with max item 2 but there 5 items, it will only choose 2 items from the 5
so i set it to however many entries there are not the total quantity of items?
and then the "minquantity" and "maxquantity" control how much of each item there is?

basically i want it to always give 50 congealed gas balls, 50 blood packs, 20 mutagel, 50 clay, 25 shell fragment, 10 charge batteries, and 50 fungal wood. I got confused because the actual config calls it MinNumItems but beacon calls it minimum entries, so beacon made it easier to understand

If you use a dedicated server, try adding this to Commandline: "-ClusterDirOverride=D:\Ark\servers" without quotes, where the name of the folders may be different, but the path should end with the folder name (in my case: servers) where all your server folders are located in that cluster. In my case, I have server 4 path to ShooterGame like: D:\ArkServer\servers\4\serverfiles\ShooterGame

this seems slightly overcomplicated to me tbh , but it works .
i just set each server start command to
-clusterdiroverride=D:\arkcluster -clusterid=xxxx
then when you go to transfer on server it creates that folder an inside it will be another folder with the clusterid ,xxxx
inside that is where it stores the data ready to go on the map after using a transfer
just like that you can also use -clusterdiroverride="D:\FolderName with space..."

But a non dedi HAS to be the same platform. That mode is not crossplay.

On ASE, epic and steam are crossplay with nondedi
Nondedi is buggy as shit and doesn't always load. You'll likely have to try multiple times.

The person hosting needs to use the website https://www.ipchicken.com/ to get the host ip , and then give it to the other people that want to join it. Port is either 27015, 77777, 7777
Person that wants to join the non-dedicated needs to do this-
Step 1: Join a single-player game of ARK.
Step 2: Click Tab to open the console.
Step 3: Obtain your server's connection information in the format of IP:PORT.
Step 4: Type: open IP:PORT and press enter.

VPNs are magical, except when they arent.
so it means that the server will not show in server list you just need to open it directly with the open admin command

ip adresses change often, unless have requested a static one, use bees link an get the new ip adress

No. Nondedicated will always show the host and always have a tether.

ok so i need some help yall my server i have had up since day one and it has the same mods its had since the second week of the serverbeing open i have not changed anything on the server and now all of a sudden its randomly restarting its not in a restart loop but it is just a random restart thats not my daily restarts i have for it, it could b 2 hr then it will restart it could be 20 min and it will restart i have contacted nitrado they didint help in any way not like i didint see that comming lol but do any of yall have any idea what could be going on

Shutdown the map, WAIT 5 FULL MINUTES, remove all mods, SAVE, readd all mods, SAVE. Then give it another try.
You may have to grab a restore point to get it back to a good state as well.
I had a map doing this since reset last night. It seems to be a weird mod install.
1- mods can cause issues despite they did work fine an you havent changed them, the game updates, the mods update
asa is an early access broken asf release, add in third party mods an you have a recipe for disaster
2- asa likes to corupt save files , it does is for fun
3- nitrado servers are poop ,
so how do we fix this?
first step, learn how to ftp connect to the server an take full manual backups of the save files an what each does ,
second step, try with no mods (becuase you now know how to reinstall a full backup properly from step 1 )
third step, mods are all good but issues still happen, load anticorrupt backups for the world save, player saves and tribe data saves
fourth step cross fingers an pray to the ark gods

There is an issue with Asa when having ports open that it doesn't realize that the port is open. Not sure why that happens, but sometimes with everything setup it won't work without a little push. I don't see why that would be causing the other issue though

I still think since it's not crashing when you run it without mods that you have a minor port issue
So you were able to join it with the amd cpu?
Unless there is some unknown issue with a specific Intel cpu, I am inclined to think that's not the issue though. Like I said, I run it fine on an old intel

straight up i can tell you ?listen is not needed, server shud ignore lines it doesnt use but i like to be clean ,
?port=7777 is no longer used , they default to 7777 , use -port=xxxx where xxxxx is the port u want to use i.e -port=8888
also alot mods, , what happens if u start the server without any ?
might also be worth changing the port using -port=xxxx , sometimes they have issues on 7777
edit, asa servers only need a udp port to be visible in lists an joinable(if the port is forwarded correctlt inbound in firewalll and through any router/switch etc)

i exentesively tested the batch files to see what wud wud work minimum,
get a server to work with the bare minimum then , add things was my theory .tjis is for a machine running no other servers, so
Start arkascendedserver.exe theisland_wp?sessionname="my server"
this will start the server , make it run on the default udp port 7777 and name it my server
if this doesnt show in the lists an let you connect , then there is an issue with the firewall/or port foraward
(if the machine has other servers , add in -port=xxxxx with your choice of port number , being sure to forward that udp port )

If it was a regular win10 issue I would 100% say it's a network/port issue. But the way you are setting it up is different enough from what I have done that it's hard to say. Without error messages or logs it's really tough to diagnose
There isn't anything inthe error message you posted that makes me think it's anything more than a mod issue though
