With this last update and the addition of that checkbox on every platform, the search itself has slowed down to a crawl. Its at least 3x slower than before and sometimes it just does want to work at all. You have to back out of it and restart your search.

That doesn't sound good... adding additional search filters shouldn't be causing the search to be noticeably slower. If anything, it should be 'slightly' faster with less data to return. I wonder how just poorly that got implemented.

I'm not at my computer at the moment, but when I added the mod id in game.ini, nothing changed in my server. Do I also have to "install" the mod?
I restarted my server and game, increased the night time, and still nothing.
I do see more red dinos, but that is it.

We have an ASA server but for a few days it has no longer been reachable at all, it is hosted on an independent machine via SteamCMD. I tried to create a new server on my own computer, same thing it is not visible in the game despite multiple reinstallations, changes in config, changes in ports, etc.
Even pressing the show player server button.

gotta be careful doing that if you have strucuture mods or creature mods, can lose them. need to hard backup the world save files via ftp really.
You cud rely on nitrado backup though which sometimes works.

Try launching ARK on the VM and connect using console with ip and port to see if it is actually running on the LAN at least, also if you have a server password remove it for this testing as Ark bugs out if you try to include password when connecting via console

Depends on the issue Ark is finnicky some times it takes trial and error with some modifications as you go. If it shows launched but you can't see it usually the culprit is forwarding and ensuring your ports are open but it's hard to troubleshoot from a distance without admin access for the one doing the troubleshooting (you)

the hardest mini game in ARK is trying to get the hosting work for a full 7 days - Ark really dropped the ball with this host. Never had these problems with other hosts

OK so I have a player he's uninstalled and redownloaded the game, he's downloaded all mods needed manually through the mod menu. But when he tried to join any server it says he needs to download all the mods again even if they don't have updates (as he downloads them before even trying to join) and then it says, join failed unknown error. In the Primal Chaos discord, they actually dont recommend going higher than offset=10. It evidentally unbalances the dinos.

Quick question for anyone who may know the answer: I’ve been doing some tweaks on our server and I think I have it almost perfect for us. One issue I’ve noticed is that a lot of the UI is just so small and hard to read, and since we play Xbox on a tv it’s even worse. I saw that there were some settings in the .ini for game user settings for UI but I’m not sure if any of them will increase the size of the elements that are hard to see. Any input appreciated!

do u run any other mods? can try removing them , if it behaves like ase though , shudnt really matter as the backup is just a world save file unless you do full restore, if they still have that ? ase used have like 3 differnt types you cud do

So I’m still curious. If you set resolution scale down to 0, the game appears to render at native resolution. If you bump it up it then seems to render at 100% + some TAA or sampling. Can anyone confirm this. It makes more sense that at 0 you are at 100% and as you increase you increase sampling while staying at same displayed resolution. If you wanted to just downscale, you’d change the resolution itself (I.e. you could run 720p and turn the slider up to upscale the image to say 1080p, but the displayed image would remain 720p. This seems to be the way it works for me.

So I think folks are confused on the resolution scale slider.

Hey quick question on the server list. Sometimes I don't see the server under "Show Player Servers" it seems random have they still not fixed the server list querying or is it something with the ports on the server. To be clear I see it if I refresh multiple times, but it seems random. Also players are able to connect fine with the open ip:port command.
