Anyone know a way around the constant roll backs when I restart my server? Nitrado is meant to auto save every 10 minutes and it's clearly not doing it at tge moment is there a way around this at all?

even if you could use another provider, they all have issues
whilst you wait on nitrado to get it sorted, there is another work around but you need to learn how to take ftp backups of the server so , look into that if your bored
I already have ftp backups
so you can just reinstall the game fresh to the server, load the back ups and your ini files. ive done this multiple times with ase servers
there is a risk of losing data if done wrong though

Hello, I've got two mods running on my server (works just fine, got it booted and everything) - But everytime me or someone else tries joining the server, they ALWAYS have to redownload the mods taking upwards of 20 mins which is quite frustrating if your game has just crashed etc. Why is it that it needs to download the mod again after it has already done so once, twice or even more times?
Can't for the life of me get back on my friends server after the update, tried doing what was suggested but it hasn't worked, anyone know any other solutions? We all play on xbox

Cause we've all done this, we downloaded it on our clients first. But haven't tried NOT downloading it on our clients before joining the server
Normally you just download any new mods the the server installs and it works normally after but sometimes you have to re-download the mod again sometimes
For the taming speed. Do I need to add that in the game.ini file or gameuser? I did it in the gameuser and changed it to X4 but it’s not working
normal taming speed goes in gameuser.ini, passive taming goes in game.ini and needs to be less than 1 to increase it , so PassiveTameIntervalMultiplier=0.25 wud be 4x

yes. wrote it at the end of the file and saved it wenn the server was offline. i can try it again
check u dont have two instances of the code, usually they write there own line , so you just adjust that , it normally takes what ever instance is first but not always

Can I get admin commands on a unofficial server, I own it and idk how to set it, I got everything set to true in the ini files that's needs to be and I got a password , I put in enablecheats (my password) and nothing. Do I need to whitelist myself? If I do how do I do it on ASA

Help please. Tried setting up a non dedicated for me and a mate. If i choose the "Private Match" he cant find me, even if he searches. If i uncheck "Private" he can find me but then its open to random's joining. Is the Admin Password the same as a server password? No option to join via steam, we tried for 45 min then gave up. Why is it so difficult to host a session for mates to find?
Admin password is for using ingame commands, server password is to join.

Remove capitals from your admin password, its likely filtering the password cuz console has a bug with caps rn. Basically if you have capitals on console clients it REALLY likes to ignore your enablecheats line.

Dont console commands have to be enabled in game settings for PS?
Other console owners do just fine with the commands, there is something simple being missed

RCON commands are a better way to control your maps. Check out battlemetrics or search up RCON ark hosts for more info. There are several to choose from.
The cheapest way to run an Rcon for simple admin tasks is to install "RCON for ARK" on a smart phone, configure it with the data from your Nitrado page
There's also ARKon desktop one if that is easier

hey im having issues with group whistling not working on a server. no group whistles work and i have checked if the dinos are set to ignore it and they are not. is this bc of the update lastnight?

My issue isn’t a setup issue anyway I was looking in here but I’m on my fourth attempt to download a mod in our server but it gets to 100% starts the download again gets to 100% and just crashes lol. Bf is on fine

turn on your extended HUD, across the top it should say Tame Ordering Group: [none] if no groups are set
All I can do is remove it from my installed mods but we had the same issue with dwarven builders n I ended up just removing it

otherwise it will say which group is active
Unless you already had them in group 10, which means you disabled then re-enabled it. 0 is for group 10.

You can set specific dinos to listen to group whistles, instead of all. A bit more control when using many. the "Z" button by default assigns them to a group if you have a specific group selected. So if you set it to group 2 and then hover over a few dinos and hit Z on them it assigns them to that group, hitting it again removes them.

Use your extended HUD to see which group is active or which creatures are selected. I have my hotkey for it remapped but I believe it's H by default, though youd need to check keybinds to confirm.

so its stuck in a boot loop after one crash?
It opens let's you get on, then crashes immediately

Hmm. After a boss fight is odd time for it to act up. Can you get on and dinowipe quickly before a crash? Maybe something is hung up in boss arena?

Only other thing I could imagine would be a conflict with items from boss, maybe stack mod + element or deco mod + trophies/flags
can u roll it back to the last save you took, just to see if its the server or the game save thats iffy
Tribe data has been an issue for people lately, you can try removing your tribe save file and see if it starts
the file name is xxxx.arktribe
there should be an xxxx.tribebak file in there also
It says I don’t have enough space for the mod and to uninstall other mods. But I have the SAME mods as my boyfriend and his downloaded fine and he’s on the server fine. Do I have to uninstall ALL my mods?
as long as you are an Admin, and that lets you start, you may need to force take the tribe assest back

there are backup .ark files in the save directory. Close server. Rename TheIsland_WP.ark to .arkbackup and rename one of the backups to the current file name

Anybody else unable to harvest silica pearls in a cave? I only get fiber where i am. All Pearls that are inside water in this cave i can harvest but everything that is on land i am unable to pickup. (50.1/4.6)

Hey, got a question. I'm adjusting my server settings and noticed rhynio 'impregnation' only initiates ONE craving and they're coming out at level 37-47 rather than anywhere near 150 when the bronto was 150 and the female rhynio was 150.. Is there a way to fix this?
i did have my incubation rate at 20x for some reason. dropped it down to 5. Didnt change anything
What's your BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier? I'm not sure if it is the same, but this is defaulted at one, i tried 2 but it doubled the time between (I thought it would half the time between cuddles)

See if they too get only ONE imprinting opportunity. I believe the cravings works similar and at similar rates as the imprintings
I believe you have to adjust everything the same, there is no unique to the cravings and the rhyniognatha (I believe) - Therefore you will have the same speed on all other dinos, it all goes hand in hand

anybody else having issues with the constant updating of the mods like mine took 3hr to finnish then it put me back to the server search page and when i try to join the server it just restarts
If the modder is submitting updates frequently you are gonna see this with crossplay. Until the system gets faster at approving crossplay mods you are stuck redownloading them until the 2 versions match. Not much you can do there. Im holding off on adding mods that are unfinished till they chill on updates. Once they are done messing with them, Ill add them to my maps.

Its mainly the mod churn. The mods shouldnt be pushing updates every other day. They need to be testing their mods imo, instead of kicking out so many updates. Thats alot of churning for players.

Every 2 weeks or monthly is expected. But so many are pushing them weekly or even 2x a week. Thats crazy.
thats the thing tho the mod developers are tryn to get it so everybody can have the mods and curseforge is making it really hard due to PlayStation rn so the mod developers are putting patch after patch out to fix stuff when its not working and curse forge keep having them do this so its a mix of the to messing the entire system up
and yes the developers need to chill on the updates that are not nessacary to like adding stuff untill everything else is fixed then do the updates

Its general crossplay, not just PlayStation. Less churn means less pain for players in the long run.
the problem is that i have is if i remove mods my community suffers and looses a crap tone of hard work and i loose players because of it so im kind of in a bind if i want to keep my players we have to struggle to get in

I feel like a lot of it was that there's no barrier to entry for the mods and no QA along with it so a ton of people shoved out half working mods that end up causing massive issues in game just to be "first" to get one out. Even dumb issues like stack mods breaking crafting recipes because the honey doesnt work. nonsense like that.
I just put up a vote: keep the mod and feel the pain, or we remove it. Let them choose their poison.

Yeah im holding back on about 10 mods right now cuz of their constant churn. Ill wait for a better mod experience. My players are hella impatient but I just explain why Im waiting and they get it.
thats y b4 i add any new mods i test them on my test server first b4 i add them to the main server this way if there is any issues i dont get it in my main server also i can fully test the mod to see what works and what dont and see how much it updates

Thats the way to do it. Nearly every "my game is broke" thread i see on reddit is because someone jammed their game full of 50 mods blindly and wondering why it bricked their save/server.
Same but I join the mod discord and track there updates and plans. If their are too many too often, I opt out. Doesnt matter how good or stable the mod is if its constantly changing.

hello everyone! Wondering if anyone has seen issues with dinos spawning at different difficulty levels? I have been running with these settings for 180 max dinos since asa released on my nitrado server.

Override Official Difficulty=6
the trial mod likely reset the custom level you was using
i checked my ini and it seems to be correct as that is what i thought too
check in the general settins too, nitrado can weird out sometimes if the basic setting isnt set the same
is extra life bonus rates enabled
p.s u might need to switch it back to basic view to check that
so the difficulty offset on the general tab still says 6 and the extra life event is disabled. i even removed all mods that affect dino spawning and restarted the server and ran destroy all wild dinos command and still spawning at difficulty 5
is MaxDifficulty set to false
enable max difficulty is checked on the general screen
MaxDifficulty makes them 150 max
and MaxDifficulty being true over rides OverrideOfficialDifficult setting

Couple questions…Looking to set my private server from PvE to PvP but I’d like to disable friendly fire between tribe members and allies. Is this possible? Secondly, the reason for wanting this switch is so I can use a creature to kill hatched babies that haven’t been claimed yet…has anyone found a solution to be able to kill unclaimed Dinos with tamed creatures without just open free for all of pvp?
if you are able to use a mod, I'm using dino potion. It is a mod that just adds a dino kill potion, they cost 1 fiber to craft, the mod is super light and crossplay. As for your question, yes it is possible to change to pvp and disable friendly fire
Elemental damage kills babies on pve. Wyvern fire, mana breath etc. There is also a dino death potion that does this. Also Pelayoris cryopod kill gun takes them down to 1 hp. Pretty easy to dispatch. Theres a couple ways to kill babies on pve.
The potion mod would require access to their inventories though right? Aka I’d have to tame all of them?

I mean if you are the admin and are just playing for fun on "PvE" just spawn a blink rifle, change to destroy and go around shooting lol

You just need to go into admin to spawn the blink rifle, then you can go back. The cryo mod has the neuter gun that also allows to kill, but I'd assume you need to tame first as well

Does disabling friendly fire work on pvp servers? And what all does it disable specifically? I’d assume you cannot damage tames or people in your tribe? What about structures of your tribe, and creatures, people, and structures of allied tribes?
ok so this is weird i have a player that has used some mod stuff and built with it yesterday when they logged in today it was all gone i went to check it was all still there he just cant see it and they cant see the engram or anything, other players can see his build and they have the engram does anybody know whats going on

anyone here that can jog a response out of the nitrado discord? we've had DOZENS of servers get stuck with an unfixable server restart loop today, and there are tons of unanswered tickets and posts, yet there hasn't been any announcement, discord conversation from any admins or nitrado staff, or even a single sentence that even acknowledges that they are aware of the problem that is keeping hundreds of players from playing on the servers that they paid to rent from the only server host that is allowed to sell them.

we have had to force stop servers and start them over
we've tried that, and rolling back the server, nothing seems to work. seems to be the case for a lot of other servers too. some have completely reinstalled the service and still are stuck in the same loop.

i had that problem and once i took that off and force stopped the server it started right up no problem

Automated tasks aren’t the cause of the issue but the hardware itself. It’s easily resolved on Nitrado’s end that usually results in transferring over to different hardware. You manually restarting your server can cause a restart loop just the same as the automated task. I had this issue on ASE then transferred hardware and been fine since. Hasn’t happened on my ASA server yet and that’s been auto-restarting since ASA launched on Xbox.

The cryopods will most likely be added to vanilla, instead of a mod, but we won't know until more info is given.

Not been my experience at all.
I have scheduled daily restarts, some maps modded, some not. Zero restart loop issues since week 1 when there was tribe corruption.
Most common things causing restart loops right now are players breeding tek paras, and dino mods.
is the Crafting stat broken? my players are finding they get garbage benefit from fully investing in Crafting...
Keep in mind right now the Blueprints (and items) can be over the "official cap" (dunno if that's changeable in inis), so it's not impossible that a super-high BP ends up simply crafting the capped item.
I'm unsure how this affects Unofficial, but on official it gets clamped back to normals caps on server restarts.
i don't think so because we're able to spawn in higher armor pieces with the Shop plugin, which seems to be limited by the cap
Yeah but if the mod follows the official cap properly (unlike the game itself 🤣 ...) It might work properly. Unless you're implying you're building properly clamped (mod-capped) items and not getting the expected results.
Hey does ascension always makes you lose your kit you at the end in ASA? Playing on an unofficial and instead of getting the download your char screen we got the respawn screen and lost all items. Does anyone else have this issue or is there a fix server side adjustment that can be made?
nah they're building vanilla items from vanilla blueprints. just seems mindwiping to Crafting is either truly awful when doing actual crafting rolls or is glitched... the highest item he got out of an 89 BP was 100...
Well, keep in mind our max level is 135 again instead of like 205 or something. It also depends on what's being build (ie: Carbo saddle have lower ratings then, say a raptor saddle). But all in all I can't say since we're waiing on having a bunch of BPs before mindwiping on my server :p
If the server has uploads and downloads off ( as they should to prevent single player transfers) then you get the respawn as if dead instead of being uploaded.
But your stuff in your dinos before completion is the work around.

Caves are late game and require bred imprinted tames, med brews, shotguns and other preparations. They arent meant to be easy. If they aren’t preparing well, I wouldnt be touching your settings.
Some of the island caves are difficult and some players cant deal with it. Tell ppl to go in groups and be prepared. The caves are no sweat if you go in ready for them.
For harder caves they’re just far higher level so boosted by proxy. They’re not boosted otherwise. Boss is changed by server difficulty setting but that’s about it.
Does anyone know if its possible to make the Liopmeurodon a permanent tame? Even without the boost. Or would lure it in a trap without taming work? Thanks

I have looked and looked but haven't seen anything mentioned, but I was wondering why no one is discussing or looking into the mods constantly needing updated on xbox. We are trying our best to keep our player base but lose players every day due to frustration because they want mods but they have to update then anytime they relog or loose connection which can take up to an hour or more. This is a huge issue and I don't see anyone addressing it.

If you are using mods where the modder has chosen to submit changes frequently then you are going to see constant churn with your mods like this.
Best to hold back on mods that are in heavy WIP or even moderate WIP in some cases, or you are going to be constantly redownloading it. @past cloak
Its not a matter of addressing it, its just self moderation. Dont use them if they arent finished.
They just don't atm. No matter what you set it its hardcapped at 135. Even if it shows you have 300 levels to spend, it stops there.
I figured as much. We deleted alot of mods we previously had and slowly added some back in. However the same few mods will need updated every re log. It's as if the update doesn't save or something.

IDK if it works on xbox but on PC when you join the server, if you click cancel on the mod list that pops up and then hit the join button it will skip that

What happens is:
There are 2 version of the mod, server and client.
The modder shoots out an update, it gets approved for client first. Everyone downloads it.
The server version doesnt get updated for several days. As a result, the game wants you to run the newest version, so it makes you upgrade the client... then when it goes to get on the server, its says OH you are on the wrong version and makes you download the old version again.
So you download it twice till the server version is finally updated.
Its buckets of fun.
Morale of the story, be very careful what mods you use right now. If they are being constantly updated, dont use them yet. Wait till they are out of WIP.

A good portion are and will be for a very long time. If people would like to run these WIP mods, tell them single player is their option but for now, you cannot add mods that are in constant flux as it just creates an unstable server environment.

Running a PvE Server via Steamcmd, Is there a way to prevent all damage to strustures and Tames from wild creatures while offline? I am seeing options for PvP, but not finding PvE options.

I dont think you have that power. Its something between Sony and WC to work out. They did manage to get Xbox to raise the limit to 5gigs, so I expect them to raise this with PS as well. It is limiting alot of gameplay right now.
There are several mods I cant add to my cluster right now as it will exclude my PS5 players from getting on our maps. So its a problem they are aware of.

You can test-pilot this and see if it helps. Places a limit on megalodons to 50% of the capacity. No guarantees but cant be worse than what you're dealing with.

I have never had such a love/hate relationship with a game before 😄 I also don't want it to change across the map. Which I believe this would do. I am enjoying the other challenges just not it killing my dinos in the caves (underwater) for no reason. The bugs are insane in the bug cave too lol I think it is a cave overspawn issue with the game itself for some of the private servers.
This only changes the spawn entry for that specific cave, nowhere else and all it really does it put a limit on the sharks. The rest is what the default data was anyway.
Just didnt wanna leave that data out and risk it nixing the other creatures by mistake.

Nah thats specific to west cave. East cave has its own entry since it doesnt have mosas and does have dunkies.
It's also not nearly as bad about the overspawn by default
We went into East cave with 3 very good not mutated but good Mosas fully imprinted and leveled... 150+ armored saddles and all three of us got bled out and killed within 2 mins roughly? The amount of dinos pinned us against the walls... its rough on my server lol
Mosas attack range is BS for a cave, theyre far to chunky and easy to get pinned with their aircraft carrier size turning radius. Truthfully with West cave I would leave basi back and hop up onto the very shallow/shoreline sections or grapple the ceiling and shotgun the alphas to death and whatever else was loitering around.

If its around certain time of day with certain people on, i'd find out what theyre doing. If theyre overwhelming it somehow. Either with mass hatching or something. Depends on what your rates are too, a guy in here yesterday was crashing his own server because he had gathering so high it was overwhelming the server.
Our rates are pretty low just a bit over standard, but thing is it can crash after just a few min or hours
Mods? Could be something trying to load that only gets opened/rendered every now and then. Hard to say without knowing even remotely what is happening beforehand. Would need to hit up whoever is on at the time and ask what they were doing just before crash, whether its a corrupted dino spawn somewhere or corrupted item in an inventory.

Got a few mods yes but nothing crazy, and I check yesterday what people were doing and even when everyone was just standing about doing nothing in their bases it crashed shortly after starting it again. Seems to be somewhat stable atm

if you already have a cooldown , it probably wont take effect till that cooldown ended
random thing but try with a big T in True, legit seen that being the case for some people
The usual culprits atm are cryopod mods and stacking ones, but both have risks for removing as well. Maybe also try a token dino wipe to make sure there isnt a spawner thats gotten broken along the way. It shouldn't but wont hurt to try.

Hi all, been looking online but unable to find information. If I started a non dedicated server on ps5 to play with my brother with tether option. If we enjoyed it and decided to pay for a server, would we then be able to take those saves to a nitrado server or would we need to start again.
For PS5 probably start again, I dont believe you can access the files needed to copy over to a ded server.

to get around a bug where you aren't seeing servers on Xbox, exit out of the Join Session list, re-enter it and then disable the "Xbox-Only Multiplayer" button. Be sure to hit refresh!

If you can connect while on your own network but other users from other networks can't. It's most likely on your end as far as setting up and port forwarding the proper ports.

How are you configuring it? If it's via an .ini change, you have to shut down the server, make the change, then start again. It'll overwrite any change you make while it's running as soon as it shuts down and it doesn't apply until it reloads. No clue about hosted servers but I assume they work the same way in that regard.

Quick question. I have a breeding area set up away from my main base. I have it set so the dinos mate, the eggs incubate and get sucked into a Soul Terminal. Everything was great, but recently it seems nothing happens, unless I just sit at the base, no mating, incubating, hatching.

We recently discovered players are able to download survivors, items, dinos (saved or by spawning them) within single player and from other servers, but not limited to just PvP > PvP. This means that players can upload/download from PvP > PvE and also from PvE to PvP. For now we've disabled downloading survivors, items and dinos to our servers but as you can imagine, this isn't ideal.
Has anyone been able to successfully disable single player and other server transfers to your dedicated setups for ASA? Meaning if transfers are enabled, were you able to isolated transfers to just your cluster? Looking at the wiki it shows that this isn't working for ASA, only for ASE. However, I'm curious if any of you are able to confirm that this does work with ASA? I tried -NoTransferFromFiltering and -clusterid along with -ClusterDirOverride but neither of them work.

This is why I'm posting about it because the command line arguments do not work 3) What I'm looking to accomplish is to isolate transfers to just our cluster since the command line arguments that worked for ASE, do not work for ASA.

Various people have issue with the 50/50 location, to the game engine it is 0/0 and things the engione not track go there, because they have to exist some where, the issue has been around since 2014 when PC ARK Launched

Anyone else having issues getting a Svartalfheim server to show up on the server list?
I ran both an Island server and a Svart server on 1 dedicated box (5600x and 128 GB) for a couple weeks with no issues. I could run them individually or at the same time, with no issues. We quit playing Svart for a couple days due to the mod issues with having to download it every time you loaded in. Since Nekatus sorted that issue out, we thought we'd start up that server again. The server loads fine on the dedicated box, gets all the way to the "ticking" status with no crashes. But I cannot find it on the server list.
Did not change anything on my startup file before having this issue.
Also worth noting that my Island server still starts and runs just fine.

I had problems with turkey spawns due to additional dino mods I had installed
I removed the mods and used vanilla spawns again atm the game does not like u messing with any spawns
If you set a custom spawn for something then something will get removed from the map I don't think this is intended but an actual byproduct no one has mentioned

Shouldn't be any issues then, they're very small though so it's possible you're mistaking them for dodos as well.
i see and killed plenty of dodo's and other dinos no turkey has been seen or eaten and i eat and kill everything i see on my flight.

activeevent will active the event thats stil in the files from ASE, so you only want the mod

Thanks! We removed that line and placed turkeytrial at the top of the mod list (also have eeriedinos and that apparently can also screw with the turkeys..). We now got turkeys spawning!!

Anyone familiar with server hardware or have experience with running Ark SE servers? I am currently running 3-5 clustered servers on a 5600G 6 core. I am downgrading the server to a 3000G 2 core (lol) as I have noticed the server doesn’t seem to be overly compute dependent, but more RAM dependent. Does anyone know what the reduced number of concurrent threads will have on the server? As it is, with 5 people logged, the 5600G never exceeds 4% utilization.
ARK is dependant on Processor Speed for performance, and I would go with 3 Core rather than 2
Honestly, ive always ran my servers on pretty shitty hardware. As long as you have around 8GB per cluster, you should be fine.
Ran a server with like an i5 core duo and surprisingly held 10 people without stutter. Had 16 gb ram though on that machine
I assume, though, at such low utilization, the windows scheduler will optimize thread use. My thought is just to load the system up with as much RAM as I can. The server will likely never have more than 5 people concurrently.
8GB per cluster sounds about right. I notice it ramps up initially to about 8GB on some maps, then will frequently drop to about 1G.

I know the processor “tick” speed or server “fps” is linked to CPU being at least 3 GHz. It’s funny, but GHz is starting to be a rather confusing classification for chips, because 3Ghz on a Intel Raptor Lake is WAAY different than 3Ghz on a Bloomfield.
Since the game was made in 2015-2017, I’d assume we’re talking 5th and 6th generation Intel 3 GHz.

1070 is still a decent card. If you don’t have another machine to put it in, you could sell it, otherwise, it will just idle in the machine and waist electricity (10-20 watts I’d imagine)

I’m trying to build the most energy efficient server, thus the downgrade from the 5600g to the 3000g. 3000g is a 35 watt part with integrated graphics. Your concern with the 7700k is with the power consumption, but as long as it’s not under full load, I don’t think it’ll be using 130 watts.
yeah i guess it all adds up over time, something i hadn't considered, might even be worth selling that system and going for something more handpicked for the job
I have an i7 920 I’m almost tempted to use, but the RAM on that machine is finicky (it uses Triple channel) and I’d be hard pressed to upgrade it to 32gb.

If you are setting up ASE, use Ark Server Manager as it creates an ini file for you to configure this. I cannot say the same for ASA :/
Ah yeah we are on ASA.
You have a great chance that it uses the same ini file for this. Maybe id look up how to do that manually online or download and configure this portion in ASM first then manually copy/paste the ini file over to ASA's folder.
Make sure you set a Cluster ID (somewhere in the Game.ini I believe) and set it to a random high number value and make sure all servers in your cluster is set to the same number, and never give this out to anyone.

Unfortunately, when major client updates occur before the "public" repo on steamdb, all Unofficial servers go away.

since the update earlier there seem to be problems finding servers? i have two online, there are players on both, but when i search for them in the ark browser i only find one of them, even if i activate password protected (which both maps are not) the same hit appears, what's going on?
Yeah there is one, you have to have cross hairs over an unclaimed dino and it's something like destroytribedinos

In theory, DestroyTribeDinos while looking at an unclaimed dino will destroy all unclaimed dinos. They're considered their own tribe.

Most recent steam update for ASA now makes it to where cannot find unofficial server, already done steam.cmd update command, verified, restarted still not showing up on server list. I've never had to add a line in ASE for an event.
I think that's pretty clear in my initial comment for pretty obvious reasons. Events are NOT mods and yes I'd like to be on vacation and not prevent players from being able to start an event until I add some flag manually.
If the impetus behind adding this as a "mod" is to allow server admins to take manual control (presumably to skip events) then allow us to choose auto vs manual.
Ok, So I have updated but it doesnt update my server, I show 32.17 as well. However, I can see it in battlemetrics and can use Tilde and url to open the server and enter it. However it does not appear on the Ark Ascended Server list.
There is a client side update. Till you get that, you wont see your server.
My client is v32.19, but server is still v32.17 and I can see and connect. Idk if this is just a Nitrado thing tho.

Favorites only works for me on ASA after I've found it in unofficial, until the server gets a new update. Then it's gone again until I find it in unofficial. Even then, I have to use the same search term in Favorites I use in unofficial to actually get it to show up.

Major version updates hide the server if the server isn't up-to-date, and SteamCMD can't get the update yet for unofficial servers. Typically, someone on an out-of-date client could still connect to an out-of-date server.

This doesnt matter. WC will prevent newer clients connecting to older servers if the version release isnt compatible or creates instability.

Yeah youll be just fine with that. Ran ASE on a core duo and 16GB of memory. No server lag after reaching 10 players max. Youll have plenty of wiggle room for 3 servers

Oh shit... tbf, its memory your should mostly be worried about. 32-64gb is something I recommend entirely. ASE was 16gb at a minimum. ASA is probably 33gb but havent gotten that far yet.

I've announced to my survivors that i have taken the server down to prevent their breeds for starving and missing imprients while we cannot do anything, and that i'll bring it back online once I see more positive feedback here.

using open <public_ip>:<game_port> will work for your players but for me internally I had to use my internal ip probably a NAT loopback thing on my router but that does work

yeah you can look up the server on battlemetrics and it gives you the command to enter to join along with public IP

I tried the open command via console, but timed out and I had a prompt offering to wait, so it says waiting to join session. Hope it connects eventually.

Yep.. using open <public_ip>:<game_port> will work for your players but for me internally I had to use my internal ip probably a NAT loopback thing on my router but that does work
make sure to use the game port (typically 7777) and not query port (778) or steam query port (27015)
see for me i cant get this mod to install keeps wanting me to install it over and over and over again

I had that happen many times, I fixed it usually by uninstalling the mod, and joining the server with out the mod then letting the server install it for me
Can't say it'll work every time but it has worked before, specifically with the AA mod
best bet is to just uninstall all the mods (from the MOD LIST menu) and using the open <public_ip>:<game_port> workaround for now until wildcard fixes this

you'll get the console at the bottom
then type in open <the_public_ip_address_for_the_server>:<the_game_port>
so it'll look like this:
open 123.45.67.89:7777
not a real IP but the port is usually 7777 for the game port
and if you need the password you insert a ? between the port and the password?
When the update says 'Server Listing Refactor' and 'Should now see all the available servers and filter them properly', and none of the unofficial servers with mods display, I just stare at the Early Access disclaimer and try not to break stuff. At least the community helps itself.
I can't say that will work as our servers aren't password protected and not on nitrado but it's a solution that some people have suggested online for ASE. So not sure if that'll work but I can't test it to give you a definitvie answer

try with the ? and use a space after the port and if not try without a space and just password
get invalid password with no password attemt :p
also try maybe ?ServerPassword=xxxxxx after the port?
that's what you'd use as the command line arugment so that's just a hunch

Our work around to find servers is got Favorites Tab in server browser, while in there, type name of server in search bar and it will pop-up in the list, as long as you had it favorited

There is an issue with PC players unable to see unofficial servers with mods in the server list. If you are on a dedicated server, you can check your ShooterGame.log to see the ARK version.

Someone above shared that you can launch ARK, and open the console with the tilde key, and then paste your server IP address and game port into the open command (for example, "open "12.34.567.890:1234") and hit Enter to try and join the server, even though you can't see it.

That is the issue we are waiting for Wildcard to resolve. We can't see our modded servers in the unofficial list.

Yes, wildcard really need to test there updates before they release them... It's stupid they release an update without testing.
There are many Official servers on 32.21 that have people logged in, that was their test

I don't know why you are defending them, there is obviously an issue with unofficial servers not listing mods, this IS an issue they could've avoided by doing a more detailed test.
I show no official servers currently up that would be running mods so hopefully they are aware of the issue

I submitted a bug to SurviveTheArk (link in bug-reports channel), and I see a couple other bug reports for the same issue. Hopefully, they will resolve tonight.

Ya, it seems that IF and WHEN a server appears in the browser people can connect, even if the mod column says none
one guys ive been talking to deleted the entire server except the saved folder and rebuilt it from scratch and that worked for him

another guy ive been talking to had his server show up after about 40min of runtime so maybe it just takes forever to pop up in the list?

Ok, after a ~25 min wait, my 32.21 server just showed up, and says No Mods. I joined the server, and ALL Modded content is secure

For PVE server owners: does anyone have any solution to help with breeding when it comes to killing babies? I already have friendly fire on so players can claim and kill them melee one by one but this takes a long time for someone who's opening 100's of eggs a day. Anyone found any solution? is there any mod that can help with this? or maybe an "opt in pvp toggle" mod so players can turn on pvp, kill the dinos, and toggle it off maybe?
the likely explanation for this is since this was an update to how the servers are LISTED the system could be better in some aspects but slower than others, such as recognizing a server is up
theres a dino kill potion mod we use
shot gun to the face after it hatches works pretty well

we cant kill them otherwise with friendly fire off and no S+ gun
