I would highly recommend either dropping that mod or changing configs to make lower levels

Levels that go up that high will reroll the stats multiple times, resulting in really inconsistent stats

And theres not really any reason to have levels that high, up to 1000 works fine and still has that ‘ooo high level’ thrill

We have an issue with wayyyyy too many of a certain dino spawning on one of our servers. If we wild dino wipe, they come back. Does anyone know what can cause this? This dino is all over the map in crazy numbers.

Mods yes, Eternal and Primal Fear. As far as spawn edits, all I've done is disable spawning of certain dinos (like Ichthy).

not sure which mod does what. I'm a console user. but could be that. you can also edit the spawn weights of the over spawn , however that may make your problem worse. there will always be a set number of dinos. if you disable one type another type will take its place in the spawn weights

I'm getting Mod Version Mismatch on a sever that I have: Uninstalled and Reinstalled the entire modlist, Deleted my mod folder and reinstalled everything and had the server owners reinstall the mods to make sure they were up to date. Anybody know how to fix this?

No, they only spawn on scorched. Can admin spawn with commands but they can't be added as a custom spawn to the map.

I am looking to setup a cluster between Valguero (Main) Aberation and Fjordur. I have all the cluster Ids, and ports set and can see both servers in the server menu. I go to an obelisk and can transfer items and dinos but when I got to transfer maps on my character no servers show up. I hoped on Fjordur and was able to pull the dinos and the items out so I dont think Its a cluster Id Issue what would cause this?

Is anyone having any issues with passive tames not allowing you to feed a second time? We have a player that can’t tame any passives atm.

They said that they can feed it the initial amount, but after the tame becomes hungry again, he can’t get the dino to eat. This seems to be an issue across all of our maps.

Dino colors work on PC and Xbox servers outside of official event runtime, too. Not sure about PAX specifically, but Valentines, Summer, Winter, Fear Evolved, etc. all run colors. The only ones that have never worked for me are Arkeology and Extinction Chronicles.

Well I use gportal to host a cluster and I want to change some settings in a mod but I go to the GameUserSettings.ini and the mod options aren't there. The mod description says "You only need to include any option in your INI if you wish to change it from its default." But I wanted to get a second opinion before i go making changing in there. The person who runs my cluster has the transmitter data tab slots set at 200. I was putting a lot of stuff in there and at some point it crashed and crashes whenever I logon after about 30 sec. Only you can access your stuff in ark data, no way to clear it unless you can get in. You can try a different character on a different map, no guarantee it will work but it might since the game won't need to render structures/dinos that are likely around you.

Long story short:
Yesterday, I was with a friend in the same tribe. Today I woke up, drinking the mind wipe tonic, and had to help another clan. Now I made a new clan, and took the dinos by force and the structures too. Although when I invited my friend into the clan, he can't access the dinos and structures, and is even attacked by our own dinos, when he punches them. In chat it shows that he's in the clan, but not on the nametag

You don't technically need a mod to achieve an increase in dino max level. Go to gameusersettings, then to [serversettings], then to difficultyoffset and right under it find (or add) this line:

OverrideOfficialDifficulty=X

X is the number you want to change. The way you determine that number is by dividing the max level you want your creatures to be by 30 (example - 450 divided by 30 = 15).

If you set it at 15, max level will be 450, and if you set it at 20 instead of 15, then dino max level will be 600. If you want to have to constantly look over your shoulder, try setting that number to 29 for max level dinos of 870. Just one Compy can ruin your day then.

Do be aware that this will affect the level of every creature, with the exception of those that are hard-coded to always spawn at level 1 (Jerboas, for example).

Custom Dino levels doesn't increase the max level, it gives maps like the island the level distribution of rag or similar, so you don't spend 291046 hours killing level 5 rexes to get a good one to spawn

No they just change every so often, usually after a new map drops. These are the last known/working entries by map since Fjordur was dropped.

It's perfectly fine, so either they won't spawn in that zone or can't spawn on Rag in general. Your entry weight is higher than the default spawns, so they should be taking priority.

He is running it on epic games and we are on steam but my server has crossplay allowed. I use Shockbyte and I see the option to allow crossplay on it. Me and my friend is using geforce now to also play on ark and hes on NA West so that could be an issue since hes able to join any other server but ours. sorry late response, but i host the server through gportal... i've done aberration using gportal in the past and it worked flawlessly, and our playthroughs on the island and scorched earth worked fine. but for some reason, on aberration, the particles left behind by glowbugs and tamed light pets seem to persist.

we ended up disabling glowbug spawns which kind of sucks ( i know they're worthless but they add to the atmosphere and look cool ) and the only issue is our tamed lightpets leaving behind massive globs of charge particles

That's entirely luck based. Depending on your difficulty the max level goes higher

We play using difficulty 6 but, for some reason, certain maps such as the island tend to favor lower leveled creatures for the most part it feels like

So despite our max level being 180 we consistently find garbage tames more frequently

Two things:
Set your difficulty Setting to whatever number you want (6 will mean max level 180)
Set your difficulty offset setting to 1.0

If your difficulty was set to 1 it means that max level I believe is 30

4 is default, max level 120

A handful of people get lucky by logging out of their Xbox account and logging back in, sometimes it will resync, but not always. If it doesn't and you've already checked the download character on both maps, then I'm afraid you got Ark'd and it's gone.

Yeah, it should have, but that's Ark unfortunately. It can happen sometimes. But you can make a new character and use admin commands to restore your levels and the boss fights.

Edit: My issue was using the wrong port through the steam browser. Use the QueryPort, not the main Port, in the address (Default in guides is 27015)

Trying to host my own dedicated server, and everythings running, except for the fact that it's showing an Internal IP as the address instead of my external address, and it cannot be seen or connected to using external address

you can use whatever port you like, so long as it's forwarded. as far as the process to forward is varies by router so the instructions a website goes through may not be appropriate for your router. typically the default port is 7777 and the query port will always be plus 1 of your server port. to join a server hosted on your same network you will join via the internal IP, as your networked, while others will join your external ip

We use to have just the colors on the dinos work when we did an event. Say Easter event we would activate and all the dinos on that map would have the Easter dinos and the items to cook in the pot. That was it. But now we are only getting about 1% of dinos colorful.

We did a ragnarok playthrough with these settings enabled and it was pretty fun.

hey guys I've been having problems with my single player worlds... My game settings reset every single time I open the game, and even though next to the maps it says there's a save file, when I load it, it makes me create a new character and all my stuff/dinos/etc is gone. I've had to go back and manually recover my save file 3 times, which usually isn't up to date 100% with what I've done. if anyone has any ideas on how I can fix this I'd really appreciate it
