Hey, sorry if this has already been explained or I’m in the wrong channel, I’ve tried Googling and what not, how do you enable the PAX on a Nitrado server, it’s not in the usual drop down selection & I’m to date with my updates, I tried adding to ActiveEvent=PAX custom game settings (as advised by lord Google) but after a Dino reset still no colours… Please help me be not such a nooblet ^_^ thanks in advance! (It may not be a thing I can do, but just trying to check)

Hey Folks got a stumper for sure and need some help....... So i run a 2 server cluster an Island and Fjordur... Now recently had Nitrado do some "backend" work to fix a potential problem with a player of mine.... Recently just finished all the ascensions for the Island, (we are currently doing a 5th story run for new players) and one of my players is having trouble logging into the two servers. They Log in and can run around for Exactly 30 seconds before their Ark boots them to menu screen saying Lost connection to Host.... I have tried dragging their body away from large structures, away from heavy resource nodes, and really anything that is generally hard to load. However they still crash within 30 seconds exactly. Now i have even tried loggin into thier account on Multiple devices (Its My Mom who is having this issue) and Even though i know my can play and function just fine it does the exact thing on the other devices..... She currently has 2 Days left on items she placed in the Obelisk for the Transition from the Island to Scorched Earth but cant Log in and play long enough to do anything. Assistance on this matter would be Greatly Appreciated !!! We Play on Xbox/Window 10 Version with Crossplay Enabled

the other thing you could try is putting two beds in her tribe right next to her. the moment she logs in, look at one and fast travel to rhe other. frequently fixes a lot of log in glitchies

she could also log in on the other map and make a new character, using the same gamertag, and access the obelisk and rescue whatever needs rescue. then reupload it or put in a pin coded box and come back to get it with the ascended character later

Hey Guys, I have been thinking about breeding and mutation stats alot and I have some questions about the mutation stats
If I have a lvl 1 rex for example has these stats (shown below)

if I was to mutate that rex until it got 224 mutated lvls into melee for example it would have 1225 melee
Since you cannot have a dino with 225 mutated lvls, can you go past that cap by lvling the stat with domestic lvls
And does anyone know if a servers stat multipliers affect these mutation stats

You can absolutely have a Dino with 225 mutated levels. That’s only 112 mutations.

There is no level cap on unofficial unless the server managers add one. Stat multipliers only affect stat values, not points. So you would still be able to take melee to the 254 cap but the value itself would be far higher than it would be on official which uses like .34 melee multiplier.

Hey anyone/everyone, ive recently made a new server, in the past ive made rag servers and leveled to 105 no problems, but my new server is the island and im stuck on level 95 with the exp bar capped out. is this just an island thing or did a patch somewhere mess something up? I use beacon to help with the server config/settings and when i go to the "Levels and XP" tab it says cap is 190, and that no acension is required till 105. anyone else had this problem?

Yes and no. There’s multiple multipliers and only one of them would affect how much a mutation gives

i think its because i originally made this server start of the year, but i got covid and decided to hold off. i saved all the settings so that when i was ready i could jsut copy and paste. because the new map added 10 more levels through the runes i believe the max exp was wrong. trouble is ive changed it to the defualt cap now and its still not working 😦

The only way to rent a server for Microsoft is through Nitrado. You will need to download the Nitrado app on the xbox and rent from there.

Magma was garbage less than 30 hp and melee base. But with a good saddle and it’s weight limit in ambergris. The nonys were like 50ish base melee. With like 70 armor saddles. They only need 600 melee for the strategy. That’s where their bleed caps out and it’s what does the majority of the damage.

But we had riders on the so they could latch to the dragons leg and not take damage. Not sure if they’ll do that solo.

i suspect the problem might be with password but it doesn't say it. is it saved in any ini file forever or not? i set it up in server/ShooterGame/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/GameUserSettings.ini but after start/stop of the server the config looks completely different. it even ignores things like max players (at least when connecting the server shows 70 and not 10), there is no mention of pass in the ini. did the structure change? i used a config generator (cannot link it here, it deleted my message because of that xD), is there any working one for current version?

For the element part, you would have to edit the fuel consumption setting which also affects wood, gasoline.

For the Tekgrams, unless you use mods then you can not link Tekgrams to bosses. You can edit the ini to only unlock the tekgrams you do not get on that map at say 105 and the rest you only get after you kill the specific boss

Is there a way to disable specific buffs without the need of an admin to go in and disable them with cheats?
For example adding baby boon to the ini to not even activate the buff after. I'd rather not disable the mission but my players are having issues with the baby boon affect

I tried putting DisableWorldBuffs=BABYMATURE_BOON_EASY in the gameusersettings.ini (per advice of another server hoster) but the mission still shows active in the effects tab

I've been hosting servers for a handful of years and this is the first time we're encountering actual issues with the mission affecting players so haven't had to look into it until now

Go into your mod file and delete everything. Then try to rejoin the server. It will download the correct versions for you

you'll always have some lag in MP ark though. even hosting in the DevKit, you get shit like wonky hitreg. with 0 ping. dedicated servers have innate lag for some reason 🙃

Hi guys, I host an unofficial pvp server for a small group of friends. It is not a cluster but one player has been constantly having an issue linked to "Outgoing Reliable Buffer Overflow" where his in game character stops updating for him but we can still see and attack him. Anyone know of solutions. So far what I've researched did not help. We tried having him make a new character, delete and verify his files.

We do have S+ installed which I seen one comment say it may be an issue but none of the other players are having issues.

Need some help; I can't login to the unofficial ps4 pvp server I play on, gen2 map. I have tried rebooting multiple times both the game and ps4. No issues with my internet connection. I can log into this map with my alternate psn with no issue. Other people can log into this map. The map itself has gone through its daily reset and no change. My tribemates and allies have no issues in my base. Nothing left on breeding or anything like that. The admin was able to redgun my character and after that I could login, but once logged back out I had the same problem. It loads in for a brief moment and then boots me out with a lost connection issue. I'm at my wits end and I don't know what else to try.

You don’t need to touch prereqs. S+ wouldn’t have the config if it bricked the ability to learn anything.

Any changes necessary would be handled by the same config already making changes.

Good day survivors, We have a cluster running on ubuntu 20.4.5 the server show up in steam server list but since the patches Tuesday the no longer show up in the ARK server selector. there have been no updates to the host machine since 8/12/22, firewall is the same etc. the servers are obviously being queried and reported back to steam but not translating over to ARK. we have spent the last few days combing the forums and such but nothing has helped getting our servers back to accessible. Hello, to start off with I play on steam & use steam workshop mods. I’m unsure of exactly where to post this but I am having a lot of issues with my Ark currently, I have been playing with around 42 mods & I do have them all in a list if needed, my graphics are constantly looking unrendered/ how it looks before everything loads except it NEVER loads, I have no problems with 0 mods which makes me think it’s a mod conflict? But I’ve been through all of the mods one by one before and never found out which one it was? I haven’t found any ways to fix it & would love to know if anyone else has had this issue before? I’ve tried resetting the active conversions & resetting resolutions, tried running with low memory & nothing, no matter how I load it or what I do the issue persists, if there is a mod conflict is there an easier way to figure it out? I’m unsure. I have had this issue multiple times and reinstalling the game / verifying game files never helps either.

@sweet sun i am currently renting a nitrado server from xbox and as above people have said mate you WILL need to get the nitrado app for xbox players it will not work if you try and get it off there website.

Yes. You must download the nitrado app from the Microsoft store in order to purchase the server, but you can edit it from anywhere after that.

Cheats commands are really easy ( dododex has them all )
all you need to do is press tab then enablecheats yourpassword
press tab again then admincheat gmsummon "Argent_Character_BP_C" 60

Can any1 help me? My ark singleplayer settings keeps getting resat everytime i even go to the start menu of ark, and my mods won't stay. They get removed - And yes i have tried editing the Game.ini files making them read-only and so on. I see no possible way to fix this. I've also been searching for hours. Reinstalled ARK. Checked the integrity of every ark file.... what to do??!

Ok, so I didn't realize this was actually server setup questions.. I am actually a server admin..I fired up genesis 2..transferred there and saw I came back to the island with the tek armor

There is not a way to set up the tek armor from genesis, other than disabling it altogether.

if you blacklist that tek armor , it doesnt blacklist the unlockable tek armor you can make eventually right

Disabling the tek suit on spawn should only remove that. Not the end game suit.

Have your friend restart the server or try loading in again after waiting, or verify both files and see if somethings missing.

yeah we both verified files, restarted steam + server, waited and i just keep getting the timeout error every 1/10th invites, rest do nothing

so, im back to looking at disabling the tek suit on spawn in genesis 2.. other than the obvious, is there a big issue with this?

or is there a better way to keep that suit on that server? would disabling on spawn be better than blacklisting that item code on all the other servers?

the only issue will be that players joining gen 2 with nothing, expecting to stand up with a tek suit, could be disenchanted with the experience of waking up nude and throttled by alpha raptors and ants

the free tek suit really is nothing to write home about. it's like 20 armor per piece and you need element on the other maps to make it work.

Disabling on Spawn is always better imo. You can always re-enable it later if you want. Blacklisting all the item codes is a lot more work and doesn't do anything special

the only way to get the gen2 fed suit is spawning with it anyway so they accomplish the same thing with one being simpler
